« Closure distance from the SGN airport with complimentary shuttle »

The location of this hotel is great to access the SGN airport. I arrived two-hour late from the original schedule due to the weather in departure city. However, the staff in this hotel accommodated my stay by changing pick-up time at the SGN airport. So I was able to arrive the hotel without any problem at midnight on the day of my stay. However, the quality of the room was not enough good, considering the brand power of ibis. The room I had was quite small and some bad smell from towers and the bathroom. Needed to be upgraded.

It was as expected. Since it was an airport location, the rooms were quite small and it was a bit more expensive than what I got used to in the country, however, overall experience was ok. The staff was really helpful and the roof terrace is really enjoyable.

Clean hotel with nice cozy room, bed was very comfortable. F&B restaurant staff friendlier than front desk staff. Good well-maintained gym. It’s great that the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from airport. The only negative feedback is there is a bad odour coming from the shower stall.

Was really impressed with the hotel, classy throughout including the superb pool and roof top bar area all for a great price. One thing really let it down for me sadly. There must have been plastic of some sort under the mattresss because all night long I kept waking up sweating. Such a shame, it would have been 10 out of10

« Always a nice stay for my business trips »

I've stay a few times at Ibis Saigon Airport hotel for my business trips in Vietnam and I'll continue to stay here for my future trips. The free shuttle service from / to hotel is really convenient, the room is basic but very well maintained and clean, the friendly staff is very helpful and attentive for all my needs. Internet is very good to make skype calls or streaming music. The bed is very comfortable. Lots of food choice in the area.

It must be during New Year's Holidays for some hotel's staffs may have gone home to be with family. I've arrived on Dec 31st, 2017 to experience holiday festives elsewhere especially in HCMC (Saigon) and joined the rooftop bar party, found myself lost on the way up even asked one of the waitress by the lobby. Certain elevator by the lobby will not take you to the rooftop bar and I was told to take that one. However once finally discovered by myself through many exist doors, FB Manager cheered me up by offering a glass of beer. The loft bar is very nice and perfect view of HCMC Airport with corner swimming pool. The DJ set encouraged me to inquire about gigs possibility on next trip. Breakfast buffet were excellent with minor lost in translation with one of the Chefs for Sunnysideup eggs turnt overcooked like common Asian fried eggs. It has taken almost all day to have my room clean on 2nd day. Before I had breakfast at hotel's restaurant, I've put the sign 'Yes Comes In' or please clean the room and made sure Front Officer know since I wasn't able to use my laptop due to wifi connection issued. After ABF Buffet, I went back to my room expected already cleaned, but the sign I left at front door was still there and no Housekeeper has cleaned yet. I then went outside to District 1 which taken the entire afternoon. Once returned, my room has not been cleaning yet and I confronted Front Officers at the lobby to arrange cleaning service as soon as possible so I could rest after. I went out again next door to the movie and returned after 7 pm to finally relax in a cleaned room with comfort bed & pillows. ( Pretty sure the hotel must be short of staffs during long holidays and understood their situation, but as expected full hospitality services by well established property like Ibis, I demanded professionalism of serviced mind staffs. The most dissappointed concerns was how I could not use hotel's wifi signal on my personal laptop even after had hotel's IT tried to connect. Typically IT position at more established properties like Accor Group should be able to manage simple cases like this. I hired hotel's tour desk clerk for an evening motorbike trip which cost USD 75 (only accepted cash transaction where the brochure stated credit cards or paypal preferred). I took the tour and was ripped off since it wasn't city sightseeing tour before food tour, learned from tour guide that her company only charged USD 35-39/pax. The trip was 3rd rate grade since every food joints we stopped just simply dirt cheap less than VND 10K per place with the total of 4 locations. Once dropped off at the hotel, tour guide told me she did not get pay by hotel's tour desk clerk and asked me to hang with her until she received payment. I showed a copy of my receipt where she wanted to keep, but I rather hold on to it for evident to discuss with tour desk clerk the next day. She was finally got called from her employer to get pay at her office. The experience was unprofessional where the whole drama happened at hotel's lobby with Front Officers who couldn't help me clearing unusual situation like this. Anyhow on my last day there in late afternoon, Tour Desk Clerk went up to me and simply apologized for the incident where I've confronted her on how much I was overcharged since the Tour Guide mentioned last night. She offered to refund USD 40 back and said she will never hire their service again as I also suggested to her not to refer to customers any local tour operators that she's not sure about because it will reflext how unprofessional her establishment is and that she is lucky that I work for Travel Industry that I see how inexperience she is. For running Tour Desk at well established organization like Accor Group, required Professionalism and Trusted Creditbility since most hotel's customers expected and rely on their trust to the group's establishment. I, myself am a Le Accor Membership and always stayed with Accor hotels global locations whenever traveling will certainly put my trust on the establishment and rather pointed out to the property management to recognize the customer experience interacted with Tour Desk operating within the property and fully investigate what's hidden behind customers back. I think this location is great and unexpected. With small shopping center and movie theater next door, Starbucks at the lobby and few other local Vietnamese coffeeshops including free transfers hotel-airport makes this property one of the best Ibis hotels of SE Asia. Will certainly returns again. BTW, it would be awesome to add points on my Le Club Accorhotels member as always. Thank you.

I have been staying in IBIS Saigon Airport for about 8 months. Overall experience was alright, except that a few instances where music were blasted at the rooftop during wee hours of the morning as well as maintenance was conducted during wee hours of the morning, everything was alright. The services worsen when I was ejected from my old room with a short notice. You can check with your sales and front desk for details on this.
