I discovered Novotel Sorocaba in January 2019 and really liked everything about it. We come to Brazil every month basically (from USA) and picked Novotel for our stay after the first good impression. I have been bringing other colleagues and we all liked our stay so far. Unfortunately, in this last stay, a few things happens. I’m my case, every time during my reservation, I request an iron and iron board to be in the room when I arrive, so I can get my shirts ready for the week (perhaps a different subject, but it’s really annoying sometimes not to have one in your room so you can use at anytime, as even when requested, it’s pick up the next day. So Incase you need again, you do need to request it again), and this time it wasn’t there. I didn’t realized and had to request in a hurry in the morning. The day before yesterday, my room/bed wasn’t made. I’m not sure why, gladly I still had a new towel that I could use. The colleague that travel with me and the VP that arrived a week later (we stayed almost two weeks) didn’t had blankets in their bed and spent the first night kind in the cold. In resume, I’m not sure what happened and why this mistakes/issues, but it’s simple things that could be avoided and raise the question if we should start looking for a new place when in Brazil. Moreover, usually we go to São Paulo on the weekends and stay at Pullman Vila Olímpia (amazing place), and there, they always upgrade me to the next room lever ( I’m gold member, going platinum after this week stay). At Novotel Sorocaba, I have stayed six times, about two weeks each time, and have never been upgrade to the executive floor. Not a big deal since the rooms are almost the same. But it’s a sign of appreciation. Hope this can help improve the quality and service of the hotel. Thanks, Eduardo

Bathroom was not clean at check in! I used to travel a lot around the world and have never seen something like that! After my complain, I was told it was not possible to clean it due to the time I arrived (10 PM). Bathroom floor was also not well cleaned. The room was not prepared for a new guest. Breakfast room had dirty tables (at 6 AM, beginning of service) and dirty glasses and orange juice jar. Very unpleasant and disappointing experience, unfortunately! It’s a shame since I have family in Sorocaba and need stay at hotels from time to time.

I thought this was a solid stay in a hotel. I appreciated the desk helpers speaking english, the room was excellent , except once I drank my instant coffee the first morning it was never replaced. The bathroom was easy to operate, and plenty of towels and hot water. The lobby and bar was nice except one night there was music coming from the restaurant that was way way above my volume - way too loud. The breakfast was pretty good.

Everything was tidy and clean in a well organized, brand new, and cozy room. The room was fully decorated with heart balloons with family and couple photos hanging on strings attached to the balloons. To complete the beautiful moment a champagne, Salton, immersed in a ice bucket was waiting for us. Phrases recalling unforgettable memories were written in a glass wall with words highlighted in colored chalk turned the experience into one the most unique in our lives! Convenient location to mall, restaurants, grocery store and interstate. Property was well maintained and staff very polite, helpful and multi lingual. Room could use a little maintenance but was suitable for a weekend stay. Food service was fantastic and quality of breakfast was very nice.

the reception left a lot to be desired, the attendants both at night and in the morning, could be more polite, do not say good night, good day and not good afternoon, and are not at all friendly at the time of check out and check in.

Out of all AccorHotels, Novotel brand is one of the best cost-benefit relation. Very good breakfast and dinner. They really have amazing dishes lead and prepared by Willy - an outstanding Peruvian chef. Very useful gym and an efficient car parking service. But there is an important room for improvement on the front desk service. Once I had a serious issue with my room door: I was locked outside of my room more than one hour just after my workout at gym in the ealy morning. The front desk lady was not prepared to solve the problem and on top of her lack of initiative she was very rude and disrespectful. Unfortunately I arrived late on my business meeting at that morning due to this room door issue. From my perspective, the main responsabilty is under the Novotel Sorocaba General Manager that leave a staff not preparered enought to do the right job. Very disapointed on that.

Overall it was decent. I did not stay at the Novotel since it was full and I was boked at the Ibis Budget.

Experience at the Ibis Budget was decent. The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly and breakfast was ok. Having said that, I always stay at the Novotel and I was very upset to find out there were no available rooms. I would much rather stay at Novotel than Ibis Budget.
