« A hotel makes me like home »

On average I spend 100 days travel all over the globe, to be honest, I have seen too many hotels, some are good, some are on average, every time when I walk in to a hotel, I can tell straight away if the smile from the front counter staff are real or not, I have to say that I was not impressed by the front counter staff upon checking at your hotel; however, room tidiness, a bath mat stays on exactly where it belongs to, a lovely cosy balcony with bamboo, and a nice gentleman from concierge team always look after my guests, all of that, has made me feel this is a good hotel.

this is something very serious. Check in was quick, staff were welcoming and they have managed to fulfill my request of getting a room near the lift. During this trip they assigned me a room 8061 which i found to be the best I have stayed at so far. I will also like to comment that Betty was very helpful and tended to my needs during my check out.

When I stepped into the hotel lobby, I was so impressed by the interior design of the hotel, the check in desk features wall, high ceiling bulbs. strips of wood panel from floor to ceiling and the lobby lounge looked like a library with books as decorative from floor to ceiling stored inside the book shelves. The buffet dinner served at The Square restaurant was great with many varieties, seafood, Japanese, West BBQ and Asian delights and is value for money. Staff there also very courteous and helpful with great smile. The room was large enough to add extra bed and cleanliness was in tip top condition.

It was a great time in Novotel Suzhou. But, the experience that I did in last day was.. I had to check out early because my return flight schedule was at 11:10 am. I had to be hurry at that time in the morning. By the way, the restraunt was not ready! So, I missed my breakfast. In the meantime, I was finding whether there are any other choices. But, It was not.. I know this case is not general but as you know, it might be happened spontaneously. So, if it is possible, I would like to say that you prepare some bred or cookie and beverage for early morning person. Thank you for reading this and your kindly support.

Easily a five star experience. Beautiful rooms, great views (if facing the lake), unbeatable location (right next to metro and Jinji lake area), but most importantly, some of the most amazing staff I've had the privilege of interacting with. A particular shout-out to Summer at the front desk, and Betty in the lounge, who took excellent care of us throughout our stay. Platinum experience at Suzhou SIP is top-notch. Elite membership was promptly acknowledged at check-in, and all our rooms were upgrades without requesting. Staff was very accommodating to our request to change bed types, despite a very full booking, which was greatly appreciated, and at no point did they even hint or make us feel like they were doing us a favor, when I know for a fact that it was a huge favor as the hotel was indeed very full. Welcome treats were incredibly tasty, and in fact we would loved to have been able to purchase some more! Lounge cocktail hour had some tastefully plated offerings and was not crowded at all despite a full hotel. The lounge apparently does not offer breakfast on weekdays, so am unable to comment on that. Breakfast buffet in the main restaurant is decent, but nothing to write home about. We had three executive rooms and a suite. Some of the rooms were a wee bit on the small side (for an executive room), but all were tastefully appointed, very modern in design. The Suite was really the highlight. It was huge, and easily accommodated having a dozen guests over. Fortunately, soundproofing seemed quite satisfactory, for our sake and the sake of others. Bed was comfy and clean. The carpet could have used some more thorough daily cleaning, though the size of the suite may have been a factor. Amenities were replenished daily, and housekeeping staff did not overlook the fact that we had added an extra guest, which I really give high marks for. Overall, this is certainly one of the most memorable stays I've ever had at a Novotel. 10/10 would stay again!

« my second stay in the hotel and got some confusion »

it was nice to stay in the hotel and the hotel is my first choice when i travel to suzhou. there was only one thing unclear for me. i got upgraded to executive room because of my gold level but no one informed me if I had access to the lounge. so in the afternoon after checked in, i was in there and had some sparkling water. then at night, i was refused to go in as i have been told i don't have access to. honestly, this is quite disturbing and confusing to me and my wife. Also i am wondering what is the meaning of being upgraded with same room size and looks smaller than the deluxe room i stayed before?
