Small rooms but had everything that I needed. Very convenient to transport. Friendly staff who assisted visitors with onwards travel during Kyoto region flooding. Good selection for breakfast. Complementary phone was a welcome bonus.

Service is great -- the ventilation in the bathroom required manual shutdown by the staffs and the staffs were willing to turn on and off everyday for me when I called. Tho, at the same time, it reflected a defect in design. Another design flaw is the lobby's location. It is located on the 3rd, if anyone is going to the lobby between 8am and 10am, and wants to leave the hotel afterward, it is almost impossible -- I waited 15 mins (yes I looked at my phone) because there were only 2 elevators serving like 240 rooms and between 8am and 10am was the peak for breakfast at 2nd floor so the elevators were always full on its way down. If the lobby were on the ground floor, there won't be such an issue. There was a cockroach next to the elevator...and it got cleaned up after 24 hrs...

Family of 3 stayed 3 nights in ibis, it was 2 full size bed in my room, my granddaughter is 9years old so I had to shared the bed with her when reserving the room I thought ibis provides extra bed but wasn’t. But we were ok. The breakfast was better then I expected and hotel staff was very helpful.

Location is great right by Kyoto Station. The complimentary breakfast was good. The room and bathroom were clean and modern. The air conditioning was great as well as a air conditioned hallway. The only thing we didn’t like was the refrigerator in the room barely kept our drinks cool. Would’ve been nice to have a cold drink in the room.

The ibis served its purpose for us. We only stayed in Kyoto one night and needed a place to rest. It was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is decent.

I was a great stay at Ibis Style Kyoto Station. It´s very well located, clean and excelent service. Since is in front the central station you can take several subway lines and overall the bullet train (shinkansen) which in only 11 minutes take you to Osaka, so I recommend this Ibis Hotel!

Great location, friendly staff, room is clean and reasonably spacious, however, our queen size bed is too brouncy. When one side of the person turning during sleeping, the other size feels like earthquake and shaking. The other issue we experienced was that our room's refrigerator was not working properly. The cake had started melting when took it out of fridge after couple hours. We notified the front desk the next morning, but no one told us if problem has been addressed when we return in the evening. So I opened the fridge, and it's quite clear that the problem remains the same. Our room's temperature is literally Cooler than the fridge.

« Slow elevators, congested breakfast, no early check-in for silver card, service inconsistent »

Hotel was pretty full so no early check-in was given. Location was excellent, being next to Kyoto Station. Staff were nice and spoke English well. Facilities were not so nice - elevators slow, room cramped, hallways on 10th floor smelt bad. Toilet plumbing seems to have some problems as the water did not drain properly. Service was also inconsistent - there was no water provided on the second day of the stay. One major issue is with the breakfast - food was not up to par and queues were very long.
