The room are comfortable and location are good with walking distance to shopping mall and restaurants. But room 926 was a bit noise (can heard flight pass by) .

Was celebrating my son's wedding with family members and 7 of us were staying in 2 apartments in your hotel. We communicated with one of your staff, Maxwell and he was very efficient and helpful and accomodating. A great asset to your hotel. We were very happy to have spent a few days in Mercure.

This my 3time to book meecure hotel in kota kinanbalu for my company trip. During my recent booking, on 21/10-25/10, When I reach hotel is around 12pm+, the reception helping me to do early checking, when I check in the room, the toilet bowl water was very yelowish, and smelly . Also when I open the basin water , the water also yellowish. So I ask reception to arrange room change, and i drop my baggage to reception after work only collect the room card. We come back around 8pm+ to collect room card, when we go in the room, the room electric was not functions at all, so ww go down reception to check the card, and they told us the whole building power cut at the moment. Then I ask them why not inform when just now we collect the room card?? They inform us wait at the coffee bar and serve we drink, then we start waiting. Other guest also wait at lobby hall. Is almost 2hrs , the electric still not yet recover. Between this, the lobby light on off twice, i guess because the spare battery not enough already. So We request for refund, the reject , and said need to charge 1 night.it was so disappointed. We not even go in to the room , they ask for charges. But end up the manager approved for the refund request. But I haven receive any information for my refund request.

We came much earlier than our check in time. So we got our room upgraded for the se view and paid rm100. Upon entering, we had problem with the room door. Had to wait for the technician. Then noted the room had 2 twin beds whereas we requested for a queen bed. Waited again for the maintenance to come and settle it. Then there was power cut for an hour plus. Bathroom had very poor drainage causing water to be clogged. I find the parking system unique but it takes alot of time and patience. Apart from that, breakfast was good and the staffs were very helpful and nice.

quality mattress and environment but not the bathroom/toilet area. water flow is strong but flood at basin area after shower. small bathroom and toilet. overall is plus point but a lil disappointed with the bathroom, too small. and my friend said leaking sound and noise came up from bathroom area was annoyed.

My room door bell was rang by the housekeeping team at 9am in the morning when I was still sound sleep. I opened the door and asked what was the reason of ringing my door bell and I was amazed that the answer given was “Nothing, just checking”. I was absolutely gutted by this nonsense. I had not checked out, I was there for the weekend, why was there a need to ring the doorbell to check for nothing ?? I complained to the receptionist upon checking out but the receptionist just ignored me and proceeded to ask me “Was everything good?” I was left speechless. My complaint was ignored and the receptionist dared to ask me this question. Bravo.

Hotel staff were not trained to manage guests at time of emergency or be more hospitable to guest, during disruption of power supply of more than 8 hours. This resulted to guests checking out at late hour of the night, with hotel staff not being able to manage frustrated guests waiting in lobby and outside of the hotel

Hotel staff do not understand simple request , just strictly follow the rules without giving options to resolve problems. Staff need more training in commutation get to hotel guest. Thin walls with noisy inconsiderate Korean tourists

It was a fantastic experience with the hospitality and services given by Mercure's employees which always makes us family feel warm and welcome. However, I had slight unfortunate event where by my car was unable to retrieve from the parking lot due to parking system failure. I had missed the chance to buy some goods from the early market to bring back to KL because I couldnt drive out early in the morning. The parking system failure was 4am until 11am. I had to opt for taxi to go around town and wasted unnecessary money where I can just easily drive. Nonetheless thumbs up and good job to the reservations team who sees this and offer us a late check out, but pointless as to we need to runs errands which has been delayed due to the parking system failure.

1st stay ruined by being next to the service lift shaft. Second stay ruined being next door to a very noisy guest blasting out the TV at 1am. This was made worst by a 3cm gap at the bottom of the interconnecting door.

a. power cut off- bad experience in travel life b. during tht occur, managers not able to explains or there was not complementary offers from the hotel. we waited power cut off abt 4pm to 1am its realy frustrated felling tht moment...at least some refeshing drink o some foods to offers.. but Hotel avoid to listen just make nothing happend ....

Was being informed that there's a power disruption upon going back to hotel at 5pm plus. It was expected to solved in 1 hour time but it didn't. Cane back to hotel after dinner at 10pm yet the electricity still not back on. Check out and change to avangio hotel after that.

There was no electricity on 21/10/19 4:30 pm. I was checked in and almost 8-10 min talked and asked the front desk staff about frequent questions, he did not have any courtesy to tell me about the electricity problem until i walked in into my room...and i called receptionist asking if my card slot have problem because there in no electricity connection, then he informed me that THERE NO ELECTRICITY since i checked in. The big problem is not about electricity, but how staff relaying important information to guests.

No electricity for 5 hours and I can understand that it’s a power shortage but please ensure manager is present to provide refunds to guests. Instead you have someone who keeps saying they can’t make any decisions and we have to wait for the power to come back on. Did not pay all that money to sit in the lobby.
