Just love this property but it is starting to look a little shabby. Always clean, staff are always friendly and helpful and love the location. $10 - $20 anywhere in cabs around Melbourne. Or walk. Will definitely stay again but it could use a spruce up.

We purchased over Groupon. On the fine print it noted we would be charged $75 for Saturday night and nothing mentioning an extra charge for Sunday. When arriving to your hotel and checking in the lady in reception was very blunt and unhelpfully. When i asked why she was charging us $100 instead of the $75 as Groupon listed she laughed and said thats Groupons mistake. So we paid the amount of $100. we continued to check in and asked her a few questions regarding locations and she was very unhelpful and closed off my questions. Very disappointing for our first time in Melbourne. After arriving home to Adelaide we noticed another $95 missing from our account we called up the reception and they once again closed us off and said that is a Sunday night surcharge. This was not listed anywhere on our fine print with Groupon. I have contacted Groupon regarding our experience and they are investigating. I will never stay wat the Sebel and will be letting all my friends and family know never to stay there.

When I walked into my room it was way more than I expected. It was like an apartment rather than a hotel room. It was clean, warm, and welcoming. The decor was well done to make it feel like a home away from home. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Overall the room was very good, modern and clean. Bed was comfortable. Disappointed that we booked a balcony room with water view, however struggled to see the water when sitting on the balcony, at best it was a partial view. looking predominately at the building next door. other than that everything else was fine. If wanting a room with a view, maybe confirm you have a full view.

Our time was great, we were able to spend time in the pool as it was open till late which was a nice way to relax after walking around the city all day. The location was perfect, walking distance to everything.

Overall my stay was great. My only criticism was about your housekeeping department. My room wasn’t serviced at all on the second night. The following servicing was of a very low standard. Eg bins not emptied, toilet not cleaned, sheets never changed although they were clearly soiled. Also, there were no instructions for the a/c in the room and there were no additional blankets so I was very cold in bed at night. BTw the dryer doesn’t work in room 211

The room shape and desk area was not functional.

I agree that this particular room is an odd shape, however due to this there is no where else to really place the desk. It is clear the designer of the building didn't stay in hotel room too often. I think I may have briefly spoken to you when you checked out, I agree the writing is not user friendly. As we are however part of a much bigger complex that incorporates the Hotel and 2 residential towers, we are bound to have all our text the same as the rest of the complex. This is part of the contract that was implemented by the builders and designers, clearly they don't stay in hotels often. Room was nice a little tight on space and storage for the suit cases in the wardrobe . Not sure on the tumble dryer as this seem to go for a very long time and still cloths weren't really dry. great staff ,friendly and helpful.
