« Rooms are great, breakfast good value, perfect location, staff friendly, but the corridor/hallway etc need freshening up. »

The room was opposite the 'vent' in the corridor...and the vents were always open. When it was really windy that week, my hotel room door wouldn't stop shuddering and making loud noises. The corridor was very hot when it was hot outside and super cold when cold outside...perhaps no aircon in the corridor?

My first time to Melbourne and I couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Period. Great location - imagine just a 3 minutes walk to Queen Victoria Market, a short walk to Melbourne Central Station and the restaurants along Elizabeth Street, and the free tram rides within the CBD. I love the simple clean concept of the hotel - bright clean rooms (neat and clean with great shower pressure), great breakfast (always fresh, with croissants to die for) and friendly and helpful staff. All these at an amazing price.Can't ask for more.

You have a great hotel in a stellar location, but throughout my stay we were unable to get the room to a comfortable temperature. A hotel staff member tries and assured me the temp would change shortly when the timer activated - but it never did. And it turned out the time on the Control was 13 hours incorrect. As a result, throughout my stay the room was generally very hot - in already warm Melbourne weather; then in the middle of the night (2am) would switch to freezing cold. As I say, your staff tried to help and were lovely - but they were unsuccessful and so based on this first experience here, I’m unlikely to recommend the hotel for this reason.

This is my second time stay this year. Hotel front desk staff Winnie, Joe, GM Samuel, Housekeeping team and Service Personnel Zhang Jian (if I recall correctly) helpful and informative. The location of the hotel is superb with easy access to Skybus , city tram. However, the hotel room is worn and it’s time to upkeep and refurbish. Small kitchenette is useful for simple cooking but oily greasy exhaust seemingly not clean for years. Aircon unit and the bathroom exhaust fan quite dusty and mouldy. Breakfast on level 9 cafe was quite a disappointment. Not value for money. I was requested to relocate to another nearby room on the second night stay as the bathroom towel rack was on the verge of falling off. In fact I took the initiative to notify front desk on the faulty towel rack after taking shower on first night evening. Good response and follow up action from GM and service personnel though has caused some inconvenience for me to move. Will reconsider future stay (if some upgrades and refurbishment done), but not with breakfast deal.

The room was very comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect. The only negative was that the curtains in the room do not join which meant being woken earlier than would have liked. Overall though the hotel was lovely and would definitely stay again.

The hotel is exactly as described and pictured. While the rooms are not large, they are very comfortable and clean. I had a problem with my air conditioning and management promptly moved me to another room, apologised profusely, and gave me a small gift as compensation. I felt the customer service was exemplary.
