Room was not clean and had damage in my room (window water leaking). Receptionist was not professional to solve the problem and the attitude was not friendly. I believe I won't stay there again.

The rooms were small but clean. Concierge service was excellent, nothing was too much travel. Good location next to Queen Vic markets and right near a tram stop makes it easy to get around

« Great hotel in convenience, price and customer service »

Our stay was all that was expected and more. Convenient to tram services..right across from Vic Markets..still near to CBD. Well appointed in comfort, large walk in shower..no climbing into a bath.. generally well equipped kitchenette..could have a saucepan tho..only a frying pan supplied. Microwave and 2 burner stove. Spacious room with small desk..was able to conduct a small meeting in the room instead of having to go out. Staff very helpful in arranging an extra chair and cups etc. Highly recommended.

It was excellent the hotel staff where very accommodating and the rooms seamed pretty sound proof as I couldn’t hear anyone walking past or TVs from other rooms. Plus the breakfast in the morning was amazing!

Hotel lobby and corridors feel pokey and uninviting, and the room itself was small but pleasant. On the up side, location was good (just opposite the QVM) and staff were lovely

« Good value for money, with good access to trams. »

The initial booking process was confusing, as different rates were offered online, on the Accor app and by telephone. It was eventually sorted and we were offered a good rate with breakfast included. The rooms were an adequate size, we've stayed in much smaller. Negatives include, the loud doors slamming of the other hotel rooms, the overly cold temperatures in the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The gentleman at reception on our last day was unhelpful and abrupt. I would not have stayed here if he had taken my initial call. There are better areas for nearby restaurants, but not far from anything with a tram or taxi. Would stay again, for the right price.

The only complaint we had was that the floor was not cleaned during our stay. Otherwise we found the staff (especially the lady on reception afternoon shift of 4th February) very helpful and accommodating. Well done!!!

Our stay at the Mercure was good. The room was a good size for us with plenty of room. The breakfast was great for us. The only thing that we can complain about was the mattress which was worn , as we would roll towards the middle. Overall the stay was good.

« Effortless - Quiet and homelike environment that made our stay most enjoyable. »

Room was spacious with good natural lighting to enable us to feel comfortable. Kitchenette and bathroom was adequate for our stay also. All staff were helpful and professional and did not exert themselves on us so we were able to come in and out without having to go through a 'customer service desk'.

The Mercure in Therry St is bit old and the rooms are compact, but it met my needs. I was after a self catering hotel within the Melbourne free tram zone and so it suited me well. It was just near Victoria markets and several supermarkets. If you want to eat out, then Lygon St is a short stroll away. Many Asian options are even closer. The only negatives were that there was not enough space for clothes if you're on a long stay and there was a bit of dust in some out of the way corners. Also the key card system may be nearing end of life as I had 3 days in a row when my key didn't work.
