Room smelt like Indian food had been cooked in there Room was dusty Mirrors were smeared and had finger prints Mould on grout in shower Cleaning standard left a lot to be desired Staff could not answer questions about car parking nearby

Centrally located, Beds comfortable, staff friendly & efficient, $1 breakfast a bonus and affordable rates means we will visit again & tell our friends & family about it. Find accor website not very user friendly so rang hotel directly as I have stayed several times. Thank you for having affordable accommodation.

Quite dissatisfied with my stay and I won't be returning. Although the staff at reception was great and location was good, the room itself was bad. There was dust on the tables and even the phone. The attached kitchen was smelly and the kettle was sticky and dirty...I don't think it has been washed properly. I heated water up in it even though I was put off by it, only to find some weird things floating in the water I just heated, which means the kettle probably wasn't even washed. The toilet was ok but the tiles in the shower was disgusting as there was a lot of dirt between them. The breakfast buffet I had was average at best. Although it really wasn't worth the money I paid, I'm really glad I only booked for one night because any more would've meant I just wasted too much money for a really bad experience. Needless to say, although I was pretty tired and wanted to relax in my room, I didn't stay in the hotel much because I'd rather be outside the hotel than inside my room.

When we arrived for some reason the heater was on in our room set at 30. It was so hot. The bed was comfy but small. The tv was a bit tricky to navigate. I couldn’t work out how to get to the movies. Than we went to breakfast which was included. I would have given it a miss if I knew how horrible the food was. The bacon was cold, the scrambled eggs looked like it was sitting there for hours and was cold. The frittata was dry and hard I think it could bounce off the floor. The fruit looked really sad. I didn’t even want to try it. At least there was a variety of cereals and bread. But not my favourite “rhy” bread. The coffee machine wasn’t working for me when I wanted a latte. But that’s ok I chose tea in the end. I had late checkout. Too bad if I was planning on sleeping in my extra time because the cleaners where so noisy. They also came in and asked what time we where leaving nearly 2 hours earlier than our check out time. I think they should be told which rooms have late check out. Sorry that sounds so bad. But it’s the truth. The customer service at the front desk was fantastic. The email prior to arriving was a great help and welcoming. Thank you

- Fairly average stay at the hotel. The room was clean enough, however the hallway, elevator and lobby were really poor kept. Room service menu was really stark, and no liquor options beyond wine and beer. The breakfast was fair, however the IBIS next door while a cheaper hotel, has a much greater selection. I would of rather had breakfast there.

Located near the Victoria Market, the Mercure was great for an overnight stay in the CBD. During our stay the Mercure offered $1 breakfast promotion which included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages etc. amazing value, and the coffee was good too. The room was a decent size and relatively quiet.

Could not ask for a better location -close to Victoria Market & free trams to CBD & Docklands. Room was nicely planned out with everything we required. Comfortable bed & lovely hot shower. Breakfast choice was great as well. Look forward to staying again.

This is not a hotel.. just rooms build on some building

One of my worst stay in any Accor Hotel ever. This is not even a proper hotel. It is a called a Mercure so you would expect a higher standard than an ibis. BUt even in an Ibis Budget I will find more hotel like amenities. The entrance looks like an entrance to a store house. They don´t even make the effort of making a little nicer. Small narrow lobby, well you cannot even call it a lobby. There is no lobby. The elevator also feels like being former warehouse. They are old and rattling. Rooms are dark and very noisy. You can hear every time the one in the room aboves you walk around. There is no area where you can sit and meet with business partners. The only meeting area on 9th floor was permanent cold and not heated. The breakfast every day just the same. No bar or any other facilities in the hotel. At least the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed many times in Melbourne and also in Mercuce Hotels. I booked Mercure because I expected better quality than the Ibis. I was mistaken. Well again, this is not a hotel and should not promoted like this. It really feelt like a cheap Air B&B. Seems to me that the builder of this building just decided to add 3 floors of rooms on top of "I don´t know what kind of building" and called it a hotel. I am really surprised that Accor would take this as a hotel property and call it Mercure. really.. and outmost dissapointed

Room was fine and service ok! The mould spots in the shower and the breakfast menu (food and staff fine) that isn’t up to the usual Accor standards that I expect on my weekly Melbourne stays. Only mentioning as I didn’t get a chance during my stay. Worth looking at imho!

We stayed 5 nights but the first night was given an uncomfortable room with a very large vent in front of the door, so we felt very cold especially when we were staying early in the winter. Then we asked to move rooms but they removed all the facilities for loyalty members
