Two problems. 1. the room- shower continuously leaks water onto the floor making the tile surface Dangerous. In our room 328, the sofa was not usable as a sitting position so there was no way 2 people could relax together. 2. the internet network does not allow access to many commonly used web sites eg BBC NEWS. We have never experienced this before so your IT need to investigate this

We had an excellent overnight stay in the Park Hotel, first time in Grenoble and loved the town and this hotel. The room was first class, extremely comfortable and well appointed. We had breakfast and that was to a very good standard also. All the staff we encountered here were so friendly, made our stay a pleasure.

The hotel was well located but it needs a deep makeover. Main floor is very old fashioned and a little chaotic with so much decoration. The room was very clean and quiet, but the cushions on the bed were not very comfy to sleep on them. We were happily surprised to find Clarins toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was disappointing, ‘cause we couldn’t find any healthy options like fresh fruit, low fat products or low carb cereals.

Excellent 'upgrade' to a 'Superior' room; tasteful room furnishings and a good view of the park. All reception staff courteous and efficient during our three(3) night stay. The barman M. Yoann REMY very knowledgeable on wines. M; John ..... gave an excellent service by changing some broken room lights, and, was of very good humor and assistance in the breakfast room. However, the standard/quality of the 'MGALLERY' breakfast for €19,00 per person was well [well!] below the standard of the 'MGALLERY' hotels in Palermo, Naples, Prague, Châtelaillon Plage ++++! Apart from the excellent smoked salmon [unfortunately a rupture of stock on the last day of our three(3) night stay], plus special butter and yoghourts, the breakfast selection lacked many items; muesli, multi-cereal bread [not rolls], bio milk products, real expresso coffee [not from an IBIS hotel type coffee machine] without having to ask, and, other basic necessities! Even fried eggs and omelettes were supposed to be a supplement until I complained!

Excellent breakfast with handmade fruitsalad, best ingrediants and only few potential to improve (honey from Grenoble area would be nice and food with less package material, e.g.: the cereals in small bags add plastic waste.) Stayed at Park Hotel from 15 to 18th May. Hotel is about 850 m from Place Victor Hugo, Grenoble s city center. The location is not good, as there is nothing interesting in the neighborhood. Check in was OK. Booked and received the only hotel’s suite, no upgrade. No need to present a credit card for guarantee of stay. There is a park in front of the hotel. The king size bed is 2 single beds joined ,1,80 X 2,00 m. Sheets, shower and face towels are thin, not soft. Strange light interruptors , there are 2 general ones that turn off ALL lights, but no indications. Shower OK, water pressure too. There is no restaurants in the hotel Room service is ONLY from 19h to 22h, limited suggestions on the menu. Air conditioning DOES NOT woark, had to sleep with the window open. Did not have breakfast in the hotel. An special mention to the woman that made our room for the 3 nights, Mrs. Cristina.

Scrambled eggs appeared to be made from powder, bacon sinking in fat and hot items were nearly cold. No fresh fruit or berries. Cappuccino (top right button) came out tasting like something sweet - didn’t taste like coffee. Bread was only processed out of a packet - unlike normal good French bread.

Pros: • Excellent storage and luggage rack/bench. • Extremely clean. Not a single issue with cleanliness. And that is very different. • Loved linens and drapes. The drapes were very heavy and overlapped, blocking the light extremely well. Cons: • We had to go to the front desk numerous times if we needed anything, as the phone was not working when we checked in. • We had to ask about the phone the day after check in, because the night clerk did not leave a note for the day person. Nor did the gentleman who came to our room to try to fix it that night. • Since the phone was not charging, the “engineer”, when he arrived in the afternoon after our check in, just switched the outlet it was inserted into with my husband’s laptop. So the phone charged, but not the laptop, because they moved it to the non-working outlet. We were told it worked fine. They never fixed it. Every day, my husband had to crawl under the desk (there were not enough outlets and the desk had no connectivity) to plug in his computer. • No full length mirror as advertised for women. • No peep hole in door. Especially unsafe for women, whom they are catering to per M Gallery. • Kept having to ask for same thing like necessary linens over and over when we checked in, as well as the next day as we needed to set up the sofa bed. • They delivered something and double locked our door so I couldn’t get in and had to go back downstairs to have someone unlock it. • The light in the toilet closet is on a motion sensor and goes off very quickly. Even when you are urinating. Having a toilet light on a motion sensor is extremely sleep-unfriendly. It is very bright, so when you void before sleep you are in bright light. And then if you need to void in the middle of the night, you are completely woken up, as is the person on the sofa bed. • The toilet closet seems to be randomly placed in the middle of the room, offering no privacy at all. • Did not have items promised for women on card in binder in room, since catering to women: full length mirror, lint brush, hair elastic. Didn’t even know these were advertised in the room. • Could have used a television in both rooms of suite. • The fake countertop was really disappointing after seeing the rest of the room. Plastic and cheap. Caused us great stress on a business trip: • Told me could have my husband’s only suit jacket pressed at check in and we put in bag and left with clerk. Then it wasn’t ready when promised and we had to figure out how to press. The front desk clerk ironed it himself, but I had to redo it. Spent 20 min cleaning off gross stuff from iron before I could even use it. Then, the ironing board put dots from screws on jacket. • Internet too slow for business. Difficulty sleeping: • Windows were weird, with a casement interior window and sliding exterior ones. They created a wind tunnel noise which made it very difficult to sleep. On high wind days, it sounded like an air raid siren. • Could not turn on air conditioner or even just the fan feature of the hvac. The room was very hot. Apparently in November, you cannot get anything other than heat, even if the temperatures were in the 70’s outside. It was suggested that we open the windows. We heard street noises and sirens with them open which would have made it hard to sleep. With them open, regardless of how open, when we closed the doors between the living and sleeping area, they rattled from the wind. • So we suffered, with the windows closed (still hear wind tunnel noise), and we were very hot, making it extremely hard to sleep and, hence, work the next day.
