It was a pleasant stay. However, your housekeeping needs improvement. One day they forgot to provide the complimentary water. We ordered food and were given 2 chicken tikka masala instead of the 1 we ordered. However, the excess amount was adjusted with the next day's dinner.

The staff needs more training in their specific line of work. For instance the person at the deli had no idea about any of the products present and had to keep asking someone over the phone and when the other person came even he was not very helpful. We ended up not buying even though I wanted to. The staff are helpful but they need more training. Even during breakfast the staff are very courteous but there small issues like serving hot food when we order over the counter and giving required cutlery. Since it is a mercure property I have a tendency to expect higher standards and I am sure many do as well. These small issues make the stay at the hotel from being 9/10 to 5-6/10 which is a score u give for a place that was just a place u stayed as opposed to a good stay. I hope the feedback would help.

I was upgraded twice to a Jr Suite with balcony but that doesnt in anyway compromise my review. The staff across all Departments (Reception, Restaurants, Room Service, Security and Executive Staff) despite working for long hours dont stop throwing that charming smile and warm welcoming gesture. What I liked most is personal attention which makes you feel special to them and thats exactly how you are taken care of. I could name a number of staff individually but that wont do justice as they are a cluster of reputable Hotel in Mysore and their ranking says it all. In spite of covering most tourist attractions, the only reason why I would return to Mysore is because of Grand Mercure Mysuru. Kudos to Mr. Shakti and his entire team! There is no end to perfection but I think we just witnessed it!

« Great service during tough times »

We were suppose to go to Novotel Kochi but the trip got cancelled at the last minute due to Airport shut down and flood in Kerala. As our bags were packed, we booked Mercure. This is our 3rd stay at Mercure (Mysore) in last 6 months. Hotel was packed (probably due to multiple cancellations from Kerala and Coorg) with 90% plus occupancy but staff did a great job in taking care of guests. Front office, house keeping, restaurants did really well despite the tough challenge. Hats off to the staff and management team. We watched it all and admired them from a distance. Thanks guys and keep it up.

i was very surprised with the decor and modern interior of Grand Mercure....this was a very short stay for me but am impressed with my overall experience... the rooms were very tidy best part was the interior of the property which was a blend of modern western as well as local culture i was also very impressed with the willingness of frontdesk staff to help as well as restaurant's staff to serve with great smile.. breakfast spread was decent and my checkout experience was equally smooth.. regards, raj

The service at the restaurant should improve. We were waiting almost for 15 mins for water to be served. Even then I had to get up and remind that person to get us water. No one even bothered to ask us if we want anything. The guests who came after us were also attended to but not us. Couldn't understand why. Apart from this everything at the Hotel was good, the stay was comfortable.

« A relaxing but chill water in the pool. »

This is my second visit to the Mercure. Everything was just right except for the water in the swimming pool. It was too cold. The hotel will surely experience increase in guests if only the swimming pool is converted into a heated pool.
