« Average quality hotel close to the airport »

This Mercure was not a very new one. After having stayed in another newer Mercure this hotel was a bit disappointing. Housekeeping had forgotten to put soap in the bathroom. Bathroom faucet sprayed water all over. Shower had no place to keep shampoo, etc. TV was an older model. Breakfast was so-so - too much sweet stuff, which is a common problem in Italian hotels. Soundproofing was almost non-existent. Planes taking off from right-hand southbound runway fly over the hotel. Shuttles to airport and downtown are not free. But it is close to the airport so if you have a very late arrival or early departure this is a good location to overnight.

« The staff at the Mercure are problem solvers. They have a can do attitude and we needed this. »

The price is right and the service is good. We left our bike box at the hotel for six weeks and then packed our bike into the box before departing. They did a special van for us at 5:00am to accommodate taking us and the xl bike box to the airport just two miles away. I will use Mercure again because of this.

Disappointing and will never stay again. We had two refurbished rooms which looked good. 1. But they were very hot when we arrived and we were told the air conditioning was not turned on and would not be turned on. The solution from reception was to keep the balcony door open. This balcony is not private and it would be unwise to leave the door open. So we paid for a comfortable air con room but did not get it. The restaurant had great wait staff and good food but so warm it was really uncomfortable 2. There were only plastic “glasses” and polystyrene cups which are both horrible and wasteful. 3. The carpet of one room was so dusty 4. The same room had a non functional hair dryer. 5. Bathroom good but nowhere for soap in shower so awkward. 6. There was no in room iron and ironing board. 7. We booked in March 18 but our booking had not been charged

people in the reception didn't greet us properly. Porter services are good. Restaurant people are wonderful. The persons in the reception were not very helpful. Room particularly toilet needs to be properly clean.

Your hotel was very nice but due to no fault of our own we had to cancel our original reservation. The airlines cancelled our flight out of the states. We rebooked our stay for the end of our trip and we were charged even more than our original price. I was disappointed in that especially since it was not our fault.

Quite comfortable and nice for a short stay. Very convenient to the airport, making my departure from Rome FCO a simple and stress-free experience. The shuttle to the terminal from the front door was very convenient.

Hotel was run down with wallpaper peeling of the wall. There was mould in the bathroom and the room was very hot even with the air conditioning at lowest level. Only relief was opening the window and putting up with aircraft taking off and landing. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was cold, but dinner was excellent. Also, be aware airport shuttle is not free. Not up to Accor standards and the only thing going for it is it is 10 minutes from airport.

First introduction was an unserviced room. - supposed to be the upgrade. Sent to another room, with assistance. Was told it was overlooking the pool. It was overlooking the car park. Facilities very worn. Threadbare carpet in hallways, damaged walls and not clean. Room pleasant but not cleaned to 'international' hotel standard. Got a voucher for free drink to compensate room mixup.

« Stay over before flight »

I prefer Mercure hotels when travelling to Europe. This hotel is close to the airport and provides frequent shuttle service, facilitating checking in for early flights.The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly the restaurant and bar staff. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable.My only complaint is the musty smell of the carpets in the hallways. It may be time to replace them.I will definitely return.

I was disappointed. When I called from the airport which is only 5 minutes away, the receptionist told me the shuttle only runs on the hour, which was 50 minutes from the time I called. I have never had this experience at a hotel with shuttle service, even in Italy. Receptionist told me I could get food in the Restaurant until 11. When I presented myself at 10:30, the door was shut and the server clearly had no interest in helping me. I was directed to the empty, brightly lit, bar to order pizza, the only item available. Bathroom could use a little maintenance.

This was was a 3rd visit at the at the Mercure Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport, but my stay prior was before they became changed to a Mercure hotel. I did find that the Service and the upgrading of the room has improved. The hotel bathroom and room was very nice and the staff were very helpful. The only feedback that I have to help to improve would be at the restaurant for breakfast. As this opens at 6.30am, I found that not all things were ready and guests were having to wait for the coffee machine and the cooked foods. I stayed at the Mercure Rome Colosseum Centre and when the restaurant was open for breakfast, everything was available for the guests. But all other things were great, the Restaurant food for Lunch and Dinner was delicious. The shuttle bus service was great and overall I am happy with my stay. Thanks

THe accommodation was good in regards to room and location. We were at the hotel close to the airport to catch a flight the following day. Wet night. So we had no chance of going to eat out locally. Very disappointed that the restaurant opens at 7.30pm for dinner. I realise this is an Italian habit BUT some people from all around the world like to eat earlier. There was a total lineup of people at 7.30. Does that not tell you that they are all hanging out to have dinner. And then once in the meals take a VERY long time to come out.
