We stayed for a Childrens hospital visit. Room was comfortable, clean ans well presented and staff where exceptionally friendly.we have another stay booked for a few days time and expect it will be the same.

Special thanks to Donna and the GM Jayesh Bala, both are very helpful during check in process. However when I was in hurry checking out as my Uber is arriving, I almost felt over infront of the lift as the laundry boy (no name tag, Asian look on that morning) had 2 big trolleys full of dirty bed linens. He seems did not care about the WHS and just kept the trolleys exactly infront of the lift on ground floor and on the 1st floor. He might need WHS training.

Great staff, Donna on reception was very helpful. Comfortable bed. Loved that I could have the window open. The facilities needed updating in some areas as they are starting to look tired and worn.

On arrival we were told we were “upgraded” from our booked & paid King bed to a Queen (larger room however?), the booking was also for our 6 year old daughter therefore I assumed there to be a lounge/fold out bed. We were told that we could pay extra $40 per night for bedding provisions for her, it was 11.10pm, we were tired and just wanted to get her to sleep, so we said yes thanks, he said it will take 10 mins or so. We get to our room and got ready for bed and wait for her bedding...when it got to just before midnight, I decided to put the two chairs together, she was ok with this then I rang to cancel the bed (50 mins after we agreed to have it supplied). Breakfast was lovely, except terrible coffee from machine (I can do IKEA or 7-11 machine coffee, I’m no coffee snob;) We asked at reception for another towel in our room as it was clearly booked for 3 people, when we arrived back later that day, the room had been kindly made up, but still only 2 towels. The (Queen) bed was noisy and uncomfortable and the sheets were noisy, therefore first night stay (Friday night) I had no sleep, Saturday night I slept better but due to absolute exhaustion. On check/out I was hoping to be asked how was our stay to provide feedback, but was never asked. So thank you for your email and hopefully feedback taken on board for future improvements

We had a very satisfying experience staying at the The Mercure, it was a great location for us to go to and from The Royal Melbourne hospital to visit a very ill family member. We arrived in Melbourne from an overseas holiday and had to urgently find some accomodation and were accommodated with being able to book in earlier than normal check in time.

The service was wonderful and the staff very helpful with any questions. I was given the wrong directions by the concierge to get where I needed to go but Google maps corrected me so I still got where I needed to go. I stayed in room 130 and could not find any power points/sockets near the bed to charge my phone and the lighting in the room was poor but other than that my stay was fine. The room was nice and clean and I very much appreciated the complementary upgrade.
