« Relaxing hotel, great place to visit Barcelona and just to stuck a little at the hotel »

Hotel really helps to relax, forget about the daily routine and enjoy the time. Room was very nice, very clean, bathroom with jacuzzi option,coffee. Cleaning service was good. I especially like that hotel decided to use the ceramics on the floor, which easy to clean and helps to keep the clean conditions of the room. Bed is relaxing and helped to have a good sleep..Noise insulation is also very good, you won't hear any noise from outside.My wife was arriving earlier then me and hotel staff supported a lot with accommodating my wife before I arrive. They met her and everything went really smooth what was important for me as I was going to arrive in a middle of the night. So in case you would need some unusual request, I believe staff will help you.In front of reception you can have nespresso coffee free of charge.Location is good, close to the metro and around the hotel many shops and restaurants.I travel a lot with Accor hotels and assure you that Mercure Barcelona Condor is one of the best Mercure hotels I've been visiting.

Cleaning is essential to us, everything must be perfect at our guests´ arrival, as it was! The reception team does his best to help you have the most special local experience of the city as you may have.We do not mind at all of different arrival times, on the contrary, we welcome our guests anytime during the day and night, and of course provide you with a room as early as we can. It is very rewarding for us to know your wife felt welcome and comfortable here! Our location is indeed unique, combining proximity to old town and the calmness of not being right in the city centre. As you´ve noticed it is at the same time a lively Spanish neighbourhood full of restaurants and cafes which makes of our area a very nice environment! short walking to the station, after shopping or party in downtown, is nice to have the hotel located in quiet area. room are nice and clean, they upgraded me due to my membership which is really good.

« Noisy Hotel »

Staff: Excellent Noise: There doesn't seem to be any noise insulation in the hotel/rooms. Noise kept coming from other rooms (up or next). Noise from street was consistent and very high (generally due to cars). Another noise seems from underground metro. In particular, I could not sleep the last night due to too much noise from next rooms. Rooms: Very small, very basic and beds not comfortable. Bathroom was blocked and water kept coming into the room. I had to use towels to block the water leaking into the room. The first night, they normally offer bottles of water, but they did not. There was no coffee/tea making facility in the room. Instead, they offered at the reception, but it was almost nothing and generally did not work. Teas did not taste. Breakfast: Very limited. Some Ibis hotels are much better. They put cheese and bacon together. PI saw people used the same handle to pick up both, which was very disgusting for vegetarians. Meat products must be put separately. Internet: It was extremely slow, even during the night, it did not work for the most of the days. I had to use my phone operator's internet. I think it is the most ungenerous hotel that I have ever stayed in this year (out of 15 hotels).

We wish, of course to thank you again deeply for your kind words about us, the hotel employees who strive and try to give you a unique, great, local experience of Barcelone. About the noise: as it´s natural not all of the rooms have the same noise suffering defree, some of them face the street and some don´t. In case this is a problem to you we can always switch you to a calmer room at the reception. About the water problem in your room: there´s actually a metallic lid covering the drain pipe, it is necessary to remove it or to put it up not to have this problem that you´ve experienced. We apologize for not having explained that to you. In case you are unaware of it, water is complementary at our hotel and you may have it at the reception. Had you shown us your dissatisfaction, we would have given you some bottles Sir. We find it odd, that you find that our breakfast buffet is limited. It has actually a great variety of products and it´s actually the best rated one in the Mercure chain in all of Spain and Portugal. About the internet problem, we have not received complaints of such during your stay. It might have something to do with your device. We would be interested to know if you´ve reported this to the reception. Please rest assured that we take into account all what you´ve shared with us, and we will do our best to improve everything that has not been up to our standards, Again we appreciate you sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. I was warmly welcomed by Marie when I arrived at the hotel after long flight and assisted by Salvatore for tour. Hotel is located between two Metro station so it was very easy to access major district like Cataluna Plaza.

« Nice hotel »

Nice hotel, only about 15 mins by tube from Place de Catalunya. Modern design, friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet, too. Rooms were clean and the size was enough. There is a small gym, opposite the street there's a small supermarket. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but there's a sushi delivery menu in the room.

« Need to better conserve plastics »

The hotel was nice, good service at the desk, nice welcoming lobby, and the free coffee and newspapers were a treat. But I was dismayed to find that after my first night, housekeeping threw out the two plastic shampoo and body soap bottles which were still more than half full and replaced them with brand new ones. There's no need for that, it's a terrible waste of resources. In fact I would prefer that instead of plastic mini-bottles, the hotel used permanent/refillable bottles, at least in the shower itself.

We stayed at Mercure Barcelona Condor. We used our ACCOR points to pay for part of the stay. We found the hotel well situated, close to subway and buses. The stuff was helpful and very nice. The room was on the smallish side but we had a big veranda.

Booked initially a "Prestige" room but once arrived at the room, noticed that the bathroom was a transparent box within the room (not very appealing as you could see from the room whoever was in the bathroom). Room was quite small. I don't see this as a "prestige". Changed to another room, standard room which was bigger in the end and which had a "proper" bathroom. Bed was making noise just sitting on the bed. Room walls were really thin as we could hear the neighbors. Breakfast was great in a nice place with lots of light. A bit disappointing as we did pick a Mercure instead of picking a usual Ibis and were a bit let down in the experience.

I made reservation for a privilage room with double bed for 25th anniversary of our marriage. The room is not small, it's tiny. There was only a double bed in the room, no cabinet, even not for a shirt. After my request, the management changed my room. This time, the standards were poor, again very small cabinet. The bathroom was acceptable and clean. the personal on the desk was very very helpful and I thank all of them. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. However, the music played iduring the breakfast was sopofiric. You cannot start your day with such type of music.

Do you think to book this hotel, well try to avoid it. Here is why I would never stay again in Mercure Barcelona Condor (Alberta) I booked this hotel again after an excellent solo experience in the summer of 2016. Now I decided to stay with my wife and it wasn't a good Idea to choose the same place for 5 nights. 1. Bad internet. We combined this trip with business and pleasure. On the first day my wife had an exact timeline to send a presentation and the internet did not worked. The Staff at the reception told as that for long time she encounter the same issues with the internet and other guests too. After several days the internet started to work. I would like to remind to the managers that we are in 2017 not in 1997. 2. Pillows - when choose I stay in a 4 **** (four) stars hotel I expect to have normal -> to excellent pillows. Right now all we have discovered some "sausage" type pillows. When I asked for normal pillows reception gave me another two "sausages". I asked again in a day and there were no pillows at all. Therefore, instead of resting normally - I had to find a normal position to sleep on those sausages. This is unacceptable and I hope the managers of this hotel to sleep for their entire life on similar pillows. 3. Cold floor - Marble floor wasn't in the description of our room. Slippery, and cold feet guaranteed. 4. Hotel is getting old. 6. Breakfast is good but almost similar. 7. Staff at the reception willing to help but... Also it seems that it is a big rotation of new staff (not a good sign) Conclusion: Avoid the Mercure Barcelona Condor if you want to have normal holidays or business trips in Barcelona. PS. This was the worst experience I have encountered in any ACCOR hotel ever.

The hotel is OK and we were pleased to get a room upgrade upon check in as the baby cot wouldn't have fit into the original small room. When I change the rooms after check in I forgot my luggage protector in the original guest room (cabinet drawer) and when I wanted to look for it before check out I was not allowed to check for the same. I was only told it's no there without any further investigation. I'm almost certain it is still in one of the drawers in the room and was very disappointed that the staff didn't go the extra mile and go to look for it.

« Check In time on the website is wrong »

My second stay at the hotel. The hotel website states that check-in time is noon (12h00) which was great since my flight was landing around the same time. However when I reached there around half past noon, the staff told me that the check-in at noon was subject to availability and was advised to come back at 2 pm which is not the greatest thing to hear after a long flight. So either the hotel should correct its website or actually allow check-in as stated there. Otherwise, the hotel has a great location, is well connected and is a decent place to stay.

The room is smaller then the terrasse. It’s very badly designed with a fixed TV screen in front of the door. Not even a small desk or chair on this room. The coffee machine and the free soft drinks in the mini bar won’t let you forget how unpleasant is the room.
