Business travel. So couldn't stay too much at the hotel. But had ordered a dish (good) and had my room cleaned whenever needed. Staff is very pleasant.

« Not the best Novotel that we had been »

Breakfast was too simple for a Novotel level. We have better service in Europe. Also, at almost 22:30 we asked at the reception (Mr Moises (?) if we would change our welcome drink for a bottle of water, he excused that the restaurant was closed, with a sharp answer. We went to the third floor and the restaurant had just closed but they still had the time to change our voucher for a bottle of water with a smile.

I booked on Expedia, I’be stayed at the hotel before. Upon check-in I was upgraded to a Suite because I’m an Expedia gold member. I have to say that this is one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that honor this. Most hotels don’t give any perks based on Expedia status. Discounts were also offered for room service and restaurant use. I didn’t take advantage of that. Most of the hotel staff was courteous however there was one guy who thinks that he can get all personal and on the same level with customers. Panama is not known for it’s hospitality, staff should be trained to always address guests as sir or ma’am. The suite size was good enough, the bed was clean, the sofa in the living room needs cleaning, you can tell that those have not been cleaned in a while. Whatever you do don’t make any international calls from the room, I don’t think they have a stablished fare system for calls. It gets noisy at night because of a bar or restaurant across the street. Installing soundproof windows could help. Either way the price is excellent and I’ll keep going back.

The room was clean and comfortable. The furniture beautiful and new. Good price for the value. Excellent service. Nice view to the city. Comfortable bathroom. Free and save parking. Defintly will go again.

Overall fine. Strange smells in the lobby and hallways. Thought we would have a fridge and we didn’t. Not much choice for vegetarians for breakfast. Nice staff at the counter. Horrible loud music from across the street at night.

I travel to Panama a few times a year. I came across this hotel about 4 years ago and I love staying here. It is a nice and well kept hotel. The only issue that I had was room service. I requested ice a few time because there is not an ice machine for customer use. A few times, the response was “we will be there in 5 minutes”. A number of times it was never delivered and one time I went to pick it up myself.

« We relocated to another hotel for the remainder of our stay after the 2nd night. »

The front staff was extremely helpful and polite, and the other people we met working there were charming, but the hotel felt like it was falling into disrepair - things out of place in the foyer, insects left to decay in the overhead lighting fixtures ... when we got to our room we were greeted with dust bunnies in the corners of the room, soiled furniture (that are quite flimsy and dated) and an offensively overpowering smell of off-gasses from either a cleaning product or air freshener. The breakfast was terrible, and the restaurant was cold, dirty and felt a little like a prison cafeteria. Food that was left on the floor from the day before was on the floor the day after. In the end it was the wifi that broke the camels back - I had to make regular trips to another hotel to communicate with work which was a terrible 'travelling with the family while working' experience.

« Great locations for various interests/activities. »

The staff are very helpful and go out of their way for us. The room was very comfortable and large. The breakfast is a nice variety of items. The parking is in a protected area and easy access to the hotel and rooms. We prefer to stay here when we come to the City. Good value!

I booked an executive room, which is advertised as 'An unforgettable experience; spacious, modern and well-designed, the suite has two spacious areas to accommodate up to two adults and two children comfortably, coffee machine, 42" LCD TV, air conditioning, safe, minibar and hairdryer'. On arrival I was informed the hotel does not have a suite with 2 spacious areas; only a family type room. This was clearly not what we booked. When I complained about this I got a very small discount. The room description is utterly misleading. Even worse: this same room description is still being used. Very disappointing.
