« Quality and affordability »

Excellent experience! room is pristine, cozy, modern, spacious, the bed is comfortable and love the bedding! every morning my room was cleaned very well and with a sweet vanilla aroma. Air conditioning is very good (really necessary in Panama). I love contemporary style of the hotel, mixing artistic elements into architecture, rather delightful, specially the "Diablo Rojo" Bus at the restaurant! The staff is excellent, specially I remember Erick, Jose and Andreina, very educated, polite, well mannered and experienced. Restaurant is really good, I love my curvina and excellent salad, keep the excellent work!

« Amateur staff ruins a good hotel. »

The way the kitchen staff speaks and treats guests is appalling. There has not been a thorough hiring or training process. There are illegal immigrants working in the kitchen and as waiters that refer to guests like they were talking to their friend. Not to mention the food runs out on the buffet for breakfast and no one is looking to refill it. The staff is looking to Nickel and Dime for everything.. no complimentary water in the hotel and charge $5 in PANAMA for a water bottle. If the service was of a five star hotel that's understandable, but c'mon. Have stayed at this hotel over 60 times in Panamá City, and will never stay here again.

« Nice hotel, Bad Wi-Fi »

Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The view was very good. Location was close enough to some important places. Staff was friendly. Wi-Fi was slow and unable to load much more than text (i.e. pictures, videos) until about 3 a.m. when there were less people using it. Not enough WiFi for the amount of guests. Also, the restaurant only had one vegan/vegetarian option; If I don't have choices, I generally won't eat at that place. There are plenty of people that don't eat meat, fish, dairy, and eggs. Also, the mini-bar and snack check was early and intrusive. We never intended to eat $5 pretzels, so having a man barge in to check that they were still there while we were sleeping was unpleasant, espeacially since we could have been in any stage of undress.

hostel well located, close to a metro station and close to a street where there are a lot of restaurant. Very nice bedroom. The staff is helpfull and kind, I think to Alba and particularly to Yatzury.

Bad quality of accomodatuon. Staff not prepared fo platinum and gold members of le club AH. We should force them for upgrade, we dodnt received welcome.drinks. Melt in the shower! Water in the sgower is cokd at the evening! One man came to our room tryung to sokve it, and said that this is maximum (cold water...). So we had a shower in cold water. Staff in reception desk is lying, don't know particular rules and privileges for members. Not worth to stay.

In spite of the excellent experience in check in, the hotel and public area clean. However, the down side in rooms is the room is too cold and cannot control the temperature. Furthermore, in the Restaurant, Service was excellent, Restaurant Clean but food is average.

« Not the best Novotel that we had been »

Breakfast was too simple for a Novotel level. We have better service in Europe. Also, at almost 22:30 we asked at the reception (Mr Moises (?) if we would change our welcome drink for a bottle of water, he excused that the restaurant was closed, with a sharp answer. We went to the third floor and the restaurant had just closed but they still had the time to change our voucher for a bottle of water with a smile.

I booked on Expedia, I’be stayed at the hotel before. Upon check-in I was upgraded to a Suite because I’m an Expedia gold member. I have to say that this is one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that honor this. Most hotels don’t give any perks based on Expedia status. Discounts were also offered for room service and restaurant use. I didn’t take advantage of that. Most of the hotel staff was courteous however there was one guy who thinks that he can get all personal and on the same level with customers. Panama is not known for it’s hospitality, staff should be trained to always address guests as sir or ma’am. The suite size was good enough, the bed was clean, the sofa in the living room needs cleaning, you can tell that those have not been cleaned in a while. Whatever you do don’t make any international calls from the room, I don’t think they have a stablished fare system for calls. It gets noisy at night because of a bar or restaurant across the street. Installing soundproof windows could help. Either way the price is excellent and I’ll keep going back.
