Upon arrival i was told that i had made a reservation for two and not for three. The person in charged at the moment, (night shift) immediately put us in a two bed suite without any hesitation and no questions asked. i thought that was very nice of him

Nice, very friendly and helpful staff, clean bed and bathroom. I received an upgrade for free to a larger room which I appreciated very very much. Lot's of space. Internet worked fine and worry-free and mini-bar was OK with necessary drinks. However, the furniture in the room was pretty used, maybe the sofa a bit dirty, all was functional though, but used. The bathroom could also do with a re-touch. I am now in Mercure Santiago Centre in Chile and it is the same. The furniture and bathroom is a bit used. It's clean, the staff again is very friendly and helpful, internet works easy and stable and beds as in Novotel Panamá are very comfortable. Nevertheless I see a difference in quality with Novotel / Mercure in Western-Europe, that seems a bit lower here. Fortunately the staff's smiles and helpfulness make up for this. The laundry service in Santiago Centre is fine. When back in same cities, I think I will come back and check out the staff's smiles again and see if anything has been done with my comments.
