The Hotel Mercure Golf Cap d’Agde is a very clean hotel with wonderful staff and in an excellent position. The facilities were as expected with air conditioned rooms being a must as the weather gets pretty warm there. Breakfast to was also very good and later in the day you could relax with a nice cold beer, perfect. Yes I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cap d’Agde.

« Almost perfect »

Staff was very nice, and very helpful. We felt welcomed. It is a 4 minutes drive to the Richelieu beach. We had the suite and the bed was great, the balcony was spacious so is the room. Our daughter played seek and hide in the room the whole night. Unfortunately we had an issue. The boiler caused a complete shortcut so we had no electricity in the room in the morning. We had to wait 15 minutes for the electrician to come and found the root of the problem. I can only advise to test all the electrical appliance in the rooms especially the suites to prevent that. Also, there is no restaurant in this hotel. They serve only snack style dish. It's a pity. Despite all of this, I will clearly come back.

Hotel is located just outside the city centre. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms with separate toilet. Gym available and terrace near the gym. Parking places next to the hotel and a garage inside the hotel.

Hotel staff friendly and efficient even though staff training was underway; the new staff were following the lead of those already established. Would like to make special mention of Laetitia who was very attentive and made sure our stay was memorable.

« A very nice hotel close to the sea »

The hotel is very nice, nicely decorated, rooms are big and comfortable as well as quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is from good quality. Nice wellness possibility on the rooftop ! The room may be more functional with some details like the possibility to switch off only a part of the lights, a place for some stuff in the bathroom as well as the possibility not to make everything wet :-) The beach is not far away. The hotel has no restaurant, but there is a room service possibility, as well as the staff has good addresses even in winter. In summary, a very nice place to stay !

« Good hotel, staff inexperienced and not too friendly »

Pro: - hotel is modern and comfortable Con: - hotel staff seemed not to know how to act or behave in a Mercure hotel - when we arrived and ringed the bell at car park's gate we were refused to enter the car park since we had to register at the reception desk first, therefore we had to turn the car, find an empty parking spot outside the hotel, register at the reception and were then allowed to park the car in the hotel's car park, this was very annoying! - in the morning at the breakfast area there were 3 hotel staff members standing in front of the buffet while chatting and and having a lot of fun... inappropriate behaviour. The TV set in the breakfast area was tuned to a annoying "Soap Opera", the volume was set very high... very unpleasant!

This hotel deserves a 5 Star. We were very impressed at the professionalism and friendliness of the staff during our hole stay. We do travel constantly for business and therefore get to stay in a lot of Hotels, we must say, that we were extremely impressed with the room cleaning service at this hotel. The way they keep this hotel clean on a daily basis was absolutely fantastic. Even though I do like being at the ocean, I don't want the place where I stay to feel like the ocean, the cleaning staff does such a fantastic job at this that never once felt like I was staying close to the ocean. They do need a very special thank you from our side!!!! The only suggestion would be towards the breakfast. We understand the idea surrounding the atmosphere and setup where the breakfast is served, but we did not feel that works. This is our second year at the hotel and both times this ended up feeling the the breakfast was not being great a experience. There's to many people that want to do their own thing in that kitchen at the same time - not a pleasant experience when you start you day would you say!!!

Both the rooms and the rest of the hotel, including the spa, is excellent. The ham-man was out of order and the Jacuzzi was ice-cold 3 of 4 days.

A very pleasant stay despite the fact that there is no restaurant. However room service was "served" in the bar! This was really good. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful and cooked lovely omelettes and fried eggs. The room was very comfortable. It would be good to have lower seats on the balcony. High chairs at our age are a no-no!

We found the staff very helpful and appreciate the room upgrade following our request for a bath as we both had backache from a long and tiring journey. We were rather disappointed that the majority of the room service menu was not available but to accept that it is early in the season. Overall an enjoyable stay.

The only drawback to this hotel is that it has no restaurant. They do however have room service, and a minimally adequate menu is offered. I suspect that the meals may be frozen pre-cooked, which are micro-waved when ordered, but this usually produces good results. However, I never like room service. The main drawback being that if the waiter gets something wrong or forgets something, the mistake takes longer to correct. The room key is needed, not only for access to your room, but also to operate the elevator, and to switch on the electricity in the room. As regards the room electricity, only the key will work. You cannot stick any spare card in the slot. What they didn't tell me was that the room key will also open the hotel entrance door at night, if you come in late. The secure hotel car park has to be paid for, but there are some free spaces at the side of the hotel and in the street. There is no shortage of TV channels. At least 3 were in English. All or most of te rooms have balconies.

Everything went very well except for one important detail. At the check out, I was requested to pay for the room although I had with me a printed message by the hotel that the room had been pre-paid in full and at the time of check out I owed nothing. The receptionist patiently explained that there is a problem with the information system and that often happens that people with the same receipt I had in my hands are requested to pay "again". I cannot believe that Accor is not urgently working this issue and a total dissatisfier has to be handled by the customer and the receptionist, while it should be solved as part of the on-line reservation and payment system. Anyway I paid, but I was really pissed. Other than that, everything was excellent.
