sorry to say but i feel a little bit disapointed when stay in mercure jeddah al hamra. as gold member, usually i get a room upgrade when stay in accor hotel group, but i didn't get the upgrade.

It was a nice experience. Some basic things could be improved. E.g. Having a socket nearby the bed for overnight charging of mobile or plugging the laptop. Providing a steam iron could have eased the ironing. Air conditioning system could have been improved with better thermostats.

« Always my choice in Jeddah »

It is not my first stay in this hotel and won't be the last. Check in was smooth and quick. Room is big enough and clean. Comfortable bed. Good AC. All what you need in the toilet. Breakfast is average but OK. Not giving it 5 stars because WiFi was weak and didn't work in my room, and also because some reception staff still need to be trained on what hospitality really is!!

« Amazing and Lovely Hotel »

I stayed at Mercure Hotel many a time. Location is perfect for anyone visiting the city of Jeddah, easy to reach. Great service at the front desk with smoother Checkin. I was upgraded to a nicer choice without any extra charge. The rooms are clean, as is the rest of the hotel. The breakfast is excellent with its variety, quality, and quantity. The entire staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. I would love to book the Mercure again whether visiting alone or with my family!

The Hotel not new furnished , the water system is not good suddenly hot and ones is called when u take a shower, the Ac not good, break fast looks not freshed at all(some items), I didn’t get welcome drink also .

« I had a bad experience at check out »

When i booked via the app i selected that i'd pay using points. On check in i confirmed(Asian lady) that i would use points to pay. When i checked out and informed Abdullah i'm paying with points he went blank. (When i checked in he was helping a customer and the check in for that customer was terrible) I blame management for not training the poor guy. He then went to fetch a lady called Razan. She said she could not help me to pay with points and that the only person that could authorize payment with points was the GM. To my knowledge that statement was a load of nonsense as i have paid with points previously. She then tried to call the GM , but could not get hold of him. I paid by card. Can i still trust the loyalty program???? I was in room 107. Shower head does not function properly. Shower door does not close properly. The TV was not working when i tried to use it and maintenance had to be called to assist(Maintenance was very good) The problem with the TV is recurring - just about every second time that i stay at the hotel there is a problem with the TV and maintenance has to be called. I have IGH membership as well , same as all my other colleagues and it would be easy to use their hotels as well.

Everything was well, the only couple of items is that the AC in the room does not work unless the key is in the slot, so the room was extremely hot when I arrived and it took forever to cool it down. the Pillows were very uncomfortable and there was no alternative, other than that all went well
