« Nice and warm greeting environment for spending there »

i feel happy and warm welcoming to spending time in royal heritage, i love the heritage environment, but i feel realy uncomfort for the quality of water in bathroom, the water is very bad. i can't wash my hair with sticky lime/calcium water like that. my hair become tousled and my head become itchy. i have tell front office about it, but there's no answer at all, they just listen. may the problem about this water can be solved as soon as possible, so my experience staying in this hotel can be more fun next time.

+ Spacious room with reasonable price + location + Ethnic - Service staff * entering the hotel with luggage and the other hand bring some bag, no one help until arrive to my room * No welcome drink while the other day I saw foreign people check in and somebody was busy to prepare welcome drink for them. I felt they have no respect to local guest * Order room service dinner and nobody sent the food after about 1 hour and after I call back the restourant * front end staff less smile compare to other hotel in Solo (Alila, Novotel, and Sunan) * Less variant of breakfast and the taste was so so.

« Great staff, large rooms, missing the cosmopolitan vibe »

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. Room was spacious but all in all the entire hotel missed the cosmopolitan vibe we have gotten used to when visiting MGallery hotels. The hotel tv channel promised us an amazing bar where cocktails were served and a great ambiance. Not to mention some great bar stools and intimate style seating. Unfortunately, the bar is normally used for breakfast and that’s how it stays for the rest of the day. No cocktails are served in fact, except for wine and beer. The pool has limited beds and there were no cushions on the beds either (this was specifically shown in tv video. The pool bar apparently opened at 7pm and as such, no one was there during the day when some people would go there for a swim or hangout. This was quite disappointing for us, as a great cosmopolitan ambience is exactly what we seek, and it one of the main reasons we book MGallery hotels. It simply wasn’t there. The hote staff is incredibly friendly, and that is an incredibly important aspect. In order for this to be called a MGallery hotel, the ambiance needs to be brought back. Then, with the beautiful Javanese furniture and antiques, the hotel would be lovely.

First glance, I prefer not having to much artistic statues or ornaments on the lobby and room. For some people like me, its just to much and bit "creepy". However, in general I do like the cleanliness of the hotel especially the room. The bathroom is quite spacious and always clean. The foods just okay in my opinions. The staffs were very nice and helpful.

« The worst 5 stars hotel i have stayed so far »

What i love from the royal surakarta heritage hotel are: - spacious room - all the traditional ornament in your hotel Things you have to improve as a five stars hotel: - breakfast, the quality of the food is so poor, i found dried bean sprouts and over cooked long beans (look like you have reheating the long beans many time) in your soto section that i cant believe a five stars served. The quality of your white bread also so poor, and i think you need a new coffee machine since we’ve got warm coffee not hot coffee. The baby chair is sooo dirty, disgusting. - i went to the toilet at 8am after having breakfast and found the toilet is dirty and smell so bad, - the room need more light, need to be clean properly, - and many more things such as i didnt welcome drink etc. At the end royal surakarta is so far for five stars hotel, its the worst five stars hotel i have ever stayed so far. I regret stayed in rotal surakarta hotel

Service and attitude of staffs were very good, but hotel is run down and needs a major refurbishment. We stayed on a weekend and were woken up at 4:45am due to the loud noise from “car free day” event.

« Splendid palace hotel in central Solo, decorated magnificently with Javanese art »

The location of the hotel is perfect, in downtown Solo, with all attractions in the neighbourhood (Istana Mangkunegoro, Kraton). Good restaurants nearby, and Galabo across the street. Also very close is Kampong Batik Kauman, with truly excellent stores. The hotel is fantastically decorated with ancient Javanese art objects, really very beautiful, and is for this an attraction in itself. Truly worthwhile ! A special mention goes to the fantastic staff, so friendly and helpful. They made our stay truly enjoyable. A special mention to "Astrid" for help with our further travels.

we enjoy our stay, first checking time takes 5 minutes, welcome drinks good, room is clean and the bath room as well. they serve fruit basket and snack is excellent we enjoy it. for improvement is about the pool was too cold and i think the jet was not working, bar area is less active no person in the bar. no drinks promo info.no menu.

« Beautiful hotel but could do with some improvement in certain areas »

Fairly satisfied with stay. Beautiful decor. Could have some improvement with some aspects at breakfast. Example, the bubur ayam was cold and too thick as though it had been sitting there too long and the burner was off. When my daughter checked into her room, there were crumbs on the dresser. The drainage for the hand basin wasn't working. Despite these little things, our stay was enjoyable.
