This is my second times stayed at the Royal Heritage Solo MGallery. And last week (Feb 14-16, 2019) I have stayed at the Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo MGallery hotel for 2 nights, I am very happy to stay at the Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo MGallery hotel, because it is strategically located from everywhere, besides its good and friendly service. Besides that, everytime I stay at the Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo MGallery hotel, my room is always being upgraded, really I am very satisfied with the service provided by the Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo MGallery hotel. I usually stay in Alila and Lorin (around 2 weeks per month). I decided to try The Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo this weekend: being a 5-star hotel, I expected a similar experience. It's all about the details: I started with the LONGEST and MESSIEST check-in of my life (around 20 minutes, that's longer than the check-in in the MGM Las Vegas at peak hour), a room with a window to the inside hall, NO BREAKFAST included, and a call at 11.30am to remind me that I had to get out of there or extend one more day. It's all about managing expectations. I placed The Royal Surakarta Heritage in the same range as the other 5-star hotels of the area. Summing up: very nice traditional decor, but I'm afraid I'm not coming back. The last thing I want when I deal with the hotel is any kind of hustle. I'm looking for a smooth experience where I don't have to worry about anything and the charges are all clear upfront.

We experienced to wait for availability and readiness for our room quite long time. we should remind many times.Room looks not maintain and clean properly. Bed linens, Towels etc are not cleaned enough, too old and dirty looking.Hotel environments and theme is good for the cultural views, represent the historical of the city.The good or lucky ones, we got door prizes during NYE dinners.Overall of our stay, it is not satisfy enough but just an ordinary stay.

« Nice atmosphere and friendly staff but some furniture in the room need update/maintenance »

Overall, the experience was pretty good, staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was good, hotel atmosphere was great. We stayed at an executive room, and although the room was nice, some cupboard doors did not open and close properly. It seems that they were not maintained well. In addition, the layout of the TV cupboard did not make sense. Also, the sofa was not comfortable and should be replaced. The bed was also smaller than the one in deluxe room.

Overall, the place is very nice, clean and cozy. But for breakfast not tasty enough, considering that this hotel is in Solo which famous as many delicious food.
