« Classy Hotel in Solo Center »

Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo is a very nice hotel with traditional style, very elegant and classy. Staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. This is actually perfect hotel to stay in Solo and I always stay here whenever I go to Solo. However, I think it is the time for the hotel to consider replacing the air conditioning system as whenever I stay there, I feel that the air conditioning is not functioning well as I feel quite warm in the room. It is also the time for the bed to be replaced as well as the bed is not comfortable anymore. But overall, I am very happy with the hotel.

Loved the hospitality of all the staff and the traditional gamelan music in the morning but hotel needs to improve on some areas: including the cleanliness of the bathroom (e.g., problems with water clogging and presence of a cockroach in the bathtub), clutter in the hallway (e.g., unused mattress simply left in the hallway), and quality of breakfast (lots of variations but none too tasty).

I stayed 4 nights at the Royal Heritage Surakarta Hotel in mid-April 2018. It is an historic boutique hotel, with oodles of character, traditional furnishings and objets d'art plus lots of photo opportunities in the lobby and on the mezzanine floor. The swimming pool is good: long enough to swim laps, and with light coloured tiles that enable swimmers to see where they are going at night. The reception desk staff are very helpful. The location is good, in walking distance of Pasar Klewer and the kraton, and directly opposite the tourist information office. But the guest rooms are disappointing: I stayed in an executive type room (the highest of the 3 levels of rooms, just below the suites) and found it very tired, at a standard more suited to a 3 star hotel (though the room was large). It is past time for the guest rooms to be renovated, and for new towels to be purchased.

I found any sewing needle on the rug carpet and almost hit by my leg..eventhough already reported to your staff there was no response from management..this happened on my first minutes entered my room.. On the second and third day..there was any problem with flushing bottom on the rest room..lack of response to repairing..

everything is ok, food is ok, but the service needs to be faster, for example if we ask for a towel, it shouldn't be delivered more than 15 mins, service in food particularly in serving Omelet needs to be speed up too, i got my omelet after 45 mins, while the others got faster than myself
