« Hotel itself was good, but the location is far from downtown, so using other facilities is inconvenient. »

Clean and modern style design including USB charging was good. But the internet connection speed was so poor that I couldn't do anything after 10 p.m. I compliment two employees of your hotel. Mandy and Aumi showed me sincere support and did their best.

Thanks for the welcome message but this showed "Mrs Nancy L." on the TV. Please update the record and use "Ms Nancy L." in future. Another comment is at the lobby bar. I went for a red wine and wanted to have some snacks for refreshment. Propose adding the nuts and potato chips on the menu.

Due to its proximity to my customer, I stayed at the Novotel, and was pleased with this very nice business hotel. The rooms were spacious modern, clean, and quiet. The restaurants provided Chinese and western food choices. The lobby bar was comfortable. The gym had good cardio equipment, but could use some weight machines. There is a pool, but I didn't use it. I stayed four nights, enjoyed my stay, and would return.

« New hotel nice staff but a long way to go »

The rooms are clean. Breakfast menu is very good for a 4star hotel. The staffs are friendly and very helfpul. Overall Novotel shanghai hongqiao is my preferred hotel to stay everytime i visit shanghai. However, because of the short time and experience of this hotel, there are many things the staff lacks to provide. 1. They need more staff who speaks English. Everytime i ask for things the staff does not understand the name of objects and it take a long time to receive it. 2. The hotel bar needs a professional bartender. The drinks ordered at the bar does not taste very good. 3. The staff could use some education from HQ about dressing maners to be more presentable.

At check-in, wasn't recognized as an ACCOR Platinum Guest. I had to "ask" for an upgrade, rather than offered an upgrade. Room was nice and clean. Staff English was sufficiently good. ACCOR Lounge was probably one of the poorest ones I've been at. Very little snacks, if you call snacks serving Chicken Nuggets every day and some small pieces of food, all below warm temperature. Waited over 20 minutes for scrambled eggs in the morning. Not planning to stay there again and will not recommend to other ACCOR members and friends.

the overall hotel services was exceptional, including housekeeping, front office and concierge. the location of the hotel is a bit tricky due to the nearby construction sites. it's not the hotel fault. but if the hotel staff could be more familiar with local facility like shops, supermarket, bus and subway stations, it would be much more helpful.

It was a pleasant experience at the hotel. As a new hotel, it is quite modern. The rooms are comfortable with good TV entertainment options and a nice bathroom. Room service was always quick and the daily make up service from the room was good. I enjoyed using the gym facilities and look forward to trying the sauna and pool next time!

The staff is friendly and helpful. However, at my second night, I was upgrade to Premier King size bed room. When I go to use the premire lounge, I was told that becuase I was upgrade to the floor, therefore, I cannot eat or drink the beverage there, which I can understand, but since I'm upgraded anyway, it shall doesn't matter to the hotel.
