Upgraded room with a view. Excellent bathroom facilities and high comfort level in room. good range of wines on the bar and on enomatic. Excellent breakfast with best scrambled egg on a hotel buffet in a long while!

We left our iPads in the room safe and received exceptional service, when we rang to ask if the staff could check to see if they where still there. They acted immediately in a professional confidential manner with our contact details. The iPads where posted back to us, receiving them two days later. Thank you.

« Nice hotel spoiled by an unsuitable room »

We arrived much later than intended due to road worknand despite checking in days before online we had to wait while "something" was checked with a manager, we weren't advised what but can only assume it was that we were being put in a disabled room without being advised. The room didn't have a shower meaning the bath was unsuitable for my wife who has arthritis. As we were late we didn't make a fuss but would have preferred to have been advised of the situation. In addition the bathroom floor was far from clean, initially I thought it was a pattern on the tiles but when removing old dried on toothpaste elsewhere in the room i noticed the pattern also came off! A few minor issues spoiled what is a really nice hotel.

nice room and friendly helpful staff; room was cold and no drawer/shelf space for storing clothes food from expensive restaurant was poor - fruit cake - ? covered in calpol was inedible; crème brulee - needed a hammer

Very dissatisfied with customer service after discussions with hotel reservation team. Had to cancel hotel due to illness, hotel manager would not waiver the no refund policy even due to extenuating circumstances. Would not use this hotel chain in the future and I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is in a fantastic location on the Mersey waterfront immediately adjacent to the Echo Arena. My wife and I were very inreased with the room, cleanliness, facilities , layout, view, and accessibility to the Echo, Liverpool One and the city centre.

« very nice hotel and room - a shame taht young kids were in bar area at 11pm »

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, security was good as key operated lift. Breakfast was good/ great choose, except some of the hot food was on the cool side by the time we got to the table. Bar had a good choose of drinks. Bad experience was children doing cart wheels in the bar area after 11pm - husband felt this was in interoperate and against licensing laws. People were trying to have quite drinks and chats but the kids were running about over excited from the arena event.

The reception experience is unusual as it looks as though staff are 'hot desking' but they are very efficient. I was a little taken aback they explained the restaurant might not understand my package. The glass backed lift takes some getting used to be the ride is swift, quiet and smooth and spacious. My room was next to lift which initially concerned me but I heard nothing so very happy. Room very comfortable but surprised no complimentary biscuit or water and I find it odd housekeeping leave a hand written greeting. At first I thought the room had not been checked until I read it. Went to dinner early - great to have that option though as reception said, when it came to the bill the deal worried them. Returned upstairs and enjoyed the free films on an amazing tv. Received complimentary later check out next morning but was slightly annoyed housekeeping came twice when I had told them the room was a 2pm check out. Overall, lovely stay and I'd consider a longer weekend break if I'm ever in the area again.

as above. Rebecca, who welcomed us has to be thanked for her welcoming and professional approach. She informed us that we had a lovely room ) without being asked) and showed great enthusiasm for the hotel and the city of Liverpool.. She was natural and spontaneous.. none of the usual corporate robotic exchanges. Our room was clean and not overheated as some hotel rooms can be. THe design of the room allowed one to see the wonderful view from the shower. THe only negative was the room smelled fusty.. as if wet towels had been left around.

Everyone was polite and helpful. Room service was not efficient. There was items missing from my order then had to wait for it to be delivered. Had to ask several times during my stay for a breakfast menu. The telephone in my room was not working, reported but not fixed. So kept using my mobile to ring reception.
