« Really great hotel let down by the bar staff »

I stayed in the hotel to attend a conference. The hotel was busy, but generally the hotel staff were amazing and the `hotel was very nice. The gentleman seating us at breakfast was a superstar. My only complaint was inefficient bar staff. They were not serving people in the order that they were waiting and when I raised this I got a surly response from the barmaid. She claimed she'd been on 10 minutes and I had not been there, but was corrected by another guest stood next to me. When the hotel is full please ensure more staff are available to serve and that they are supervised.

It was our fourth visit in the last 7 months and still excellent.Checked in on line and when we arrived we was booked in by Lauren,sorry if I got her name wrong.She was lovely and polite and allocated our room 714 which was a nice surprise as it was the same room we had in October. Then as we approached the lift we spotted the lovely Rebbecca who remembered us from out last visit,what an asset this young lady is to the hotel.She came over several times during our visit to make sure everything was ok. Once again I must congratulate The Pullman on running a hotel how it should be run. All the staff do a great job,the facilities are first class,excellent breakfast and very competitive rates. See you again on the 16 October.and thank you once again for making another pleasurable experience. and making us feel special.

When we arrived reception could not find my booking despite me showing the email & reference number! They offered free drinks while they sorted the issue which fortunately took a while 🥂Restaurant good quality.Coffee machine was not working in exec lounge...but apology made & to-go coffee offered.Overall good quality hotel...just a few tweaks to sort but none that would spoil the stay.Ideal for Arena as just next door :-)

The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is good and they issued us with a 20% off voucher for their restaurant. The food was good at the restaurant but I actually forgot to use the voucher but I could have saved over £6. The room was spacious with a huge Tv and all sky sports and BT sports channels and movie channels. The view from our room on the 4th floor was fantastic showing the Arena on the left and the wheel to the right with the Albert Dock behind it.

« A second stay for a reason! »

Great hotel, located in the perfect place to explore the dock and attend an event at the Arena. Simple and smooth check in and check out with very polite and attentive staff. Minor confusion as to why when ordering room service i had to pay at the room for this as reception had my card details?? and also would have liked a choice of pillows in the room as the two provided were not suitable for me (first world issues!?) . But as these are the only two things i can pin point as minor gripes for me i would heartily recommend this hotel to all. The bed was very comfortable, shower amazing and room very clean. Hence our return twice within 8 months.

Stayed here for a long weekend. We booked a junior suite and it was definitely worth the extra. Although the room had no view it was large and well fitted out, the design evoked one of the old warehouses. it was very relaxing. Full marks to the large wardrobe with light inside! Appreciated the fridge contents and especially my Platinum member gift, very thoughtful. We had access to the Exec Lounge which I was pleased to see was well stocked throughout. We never really saw anyone servicing the room or the lounge but everything was kept fresh and topped up. Nothing went amiss; newspapers delivered on time, when i requested a late checkout there was no problem, at the end of our stay I phoned to book a taxi which arrived on the dot and while we were waiting we were given coffee and cake. A special mention to Mark McDermott, extremely helpful. Also to the barman who can make an empty wine bottle dance up his arm and elbow. And also the 3 different chefs who cooked me porridge, so pleased to see all were made from scratch, all tasted different, all were delicious. Breakfast was good around except the sourdough ran out 2 days running. It was a shame the restaurant was shut at lunchtime but otherwise this is a great hotel. It is walking distance to all the main places you would want to visit. I recommend a taxi from and especially to the station, it's about 200 minutes walk but uphill.

« Confusing »

Stayed 2 nights and Room was not serviced. Towels had to be requested very poor service for a 4 star hotel. Mis-understanding in your own systems and staff. One says we declined service and we discussed with a member of staff at reception but no service happened. No bed made no fresh towels and running out of toilet roll. Never again I am afraid to say.
