We stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and as Accor members were lucky to be given a room upgrade which was fabulous . Our room was very large overlooking Leicester Square. Very clean, light and airy and well looked after. The building itself is very old and quirky. The lifts are extremely slow. The staff here are excellent, so helpful and friendly. However since we stayed here in July they have altered the breakfasts. I thought I had paid for full English but on the 1st morning there was confusion . After speaking to the concierge it was sorted out. They were obviously short staffed, food containers were empty even, bread, butter and juices. This needs to be sorted out. The staff were running around all the time but it needed someone supervising this area continually. It’s not a cheap hotel and one expects better. All in all a great place and will come back.

« Good room, great location »

Location, right on Leicester Square, is superb. Room was good, criticism was that there was too little in the way of drawers or hanging space for our two night stay. We were also 'upgraded' to a room with a view of a fire escape from the room we had booked which offered a room with a view over Leicester Place. Not a problem as we asked to be downgraded back to the room we booked but it took more time than it should to 'persuade' the staff to downgrade us.

The staff was very helpful. There was no lobby to speak of. Across from the entrance was piles of plastic bags with garbage that remained for three days.

Another comfortable bed from MGallery - our room overlooked Leicester Square and was very quite considering it's location. A nice bright, clean room, though the bathroom was a bit on the small side. Staff were pleasant - maybe not as well trained as those we experienced with MGallery in France. Centrally located to many theaters, shops, The Tube and restaurants. As a suggestion, the hallway colour scheme needs to be brightened up - more lively.

« Not the MGallery Experiance You Would Expect (Or Want)........ »

Not a good stay unfortunately! Requested a room not overlooking Leicester Square and when arrived was given a room overlooking Leicester Square, mentioned this to reception when we left for the afternoon but was told that it could not be changed. Arrived back at the hotel after a night out around 11.00pm and asked the 4 people standing around reception for a drink at the bar only to be told the bar was shut. Up in our room overlooking Leicester Square we were then treated to the street performers playing various types of drums until gone 3.00am in the morning. Checked out and not asked how our stay was which just about summed the whole experience up. Only positive was I used up most of my Accor points to pay towards the room which even then was not worth what was paid. Would not use this hotel again and will advise others to avoid.

The rooms are tiny. Not enough room for two people and two suitcases. We couldn’t open our suitcases and there were no facilities to put clothes away. The rooms were however quiet and beds were nice. The location is outstanding. Central to everything.

« Fabulous service and location was great too »

Walking distance to Oxford Street shopping, Covent Garden theatres and dining, and Trafalgar Square. Our room was relatively small but that didn’t matter as it was only for sleeping. Best part was the service. Manager made us feel welcome and when we checked out, walked us to the tube station to catch a direct train to Heathrow. We didn’t even know the hotel was only 100 yards from the station and had never used the subway so it was wonderful that the manager took time to explain and take us to the station. Fantastic.

2 nice rooms, a suite and deluxe room. However, communal areas particularly the corridor were untidy. Filled black bin liners still in corridors late after afternoon. Iron board and iron, from the night before, still not taken away when we left. Breakfast ok but hots item were cold. Admin poor as payment taken from wrong cards. Lack of customer service as Front Office Manager, doesn’t recognise a problem and GM can’t be bothered to call back promised. This is not a boutique hotel and why it has MGAllery branding amazes me. I would not revisit as they have a long way to go.

Nice rooms for London and nice bathrooms but noisy on Saturday night. Good location however. Reception area a disappointment with luggage everywhere and real counter. Hiden entrance. Average breakfast.

A quick stay in the heart of London, hotel in a perfect central location if a little tricky to find as signage not most obvious. Unique decor makes it quite quirky but cool. I'm not convinced by the brands lack of proper reception desk but maybe I'm a bit old school. Staff polite and helpful room excellent and we'll presented and we even got a free up grade which was most appreciated. Location makes it quite a noisey as there are night clubs and much going on but the rooms are pretty well insulated. Breakfast was a good standard though the poor waitress was rushed off her feet as it got busy. Didn't get around to using the bar or restaurant but all in all a pleasant stay.

On arrival at our allotted time, we were kept waiting for over 30 minutes, while they were trying to find a room which was ready. When we were eventually given a room it did not look like the one in the pucture and it was definitely smaller. For the money we paid was not worth the experience. We will not be staying there again.

Loud air conditioning system (even when not switched on): unable to sleep; no toilet paper in bathroom. Inefficient cleaning service, with cleaning lady knocking and opening my door despite the No Disturb sign hanging on the knob. Maybe I did not get lucky that day. To be fair, great breakfast experience (nice buffet and professional staff). And comfortable bed (as always with Accor hotels.

« Didn't feel safe- HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE »

I was extremely disappointed with my stay! The hotel itself is in a great location. My room was clean and had all that I needed. I arrived in London after a 2 week stay in India and I was very sick with the flu. I left my room to go and get medicine (which means I wasn't gone long since the News and Food is about a 3 minute walk) and left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. I returned to find a key card that wasn't mine in the light switch, and all the lights on in the room and bathroom. I called downstairs and the person in the phone said he had no clue and maybe it was maintenance. (Again, I was sick and had been in the room since the evening before. So if something was needed in the room, why wasn't there a phone call? Why wasn't there a knock? Was someone waiting until I left to enter, and if so why?) My comment to the person in the phone was that I needed clarification, so said he would check and get back to me. I took my medicine and went back to sleep. When I woke up, I called back downstairs and the lady who answered had no idea what I was talking about. I went back downstairs (again, while sick) to talk about changing rooms since it was now a safety issue. Someone had been in my room, left evidence and no one in the hotel could tell me what was going on. Mind you, even if the hotel was conducting some type of safely inspection, the room is very small and that could have been done without completely entering and violating what was supposed to be a safe space. I spent the rest of the time in the hotel with ALL my bags padlocked before leaving the room and with the door barricaded while I was in the room. I still can't believe no one attempted to help me and I was truly too sick to even try to find another place last minute. Horrible experience!
