It was wonderful vacation trip to Istanbul during October 2-6,2018. The hotel is conveniently located to the Kabatas tram stop just 10 minutes walk. Taksim Square 7 minutes walk, near supermarkets Sok and Migros jet, very nice rooms with a beautiful view. All hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly, always helpful. As a member of the loyalty program AccorHotels (platinum status) I was upgraded to the prestige floor rooms with lounge access for me and my friends. I recommend this hotel. Breakfast was normal for city hotel. Thank you to Mercure Istanbul Taksim Hotel for your great hospitality!

I enjoy staying @ Mercure Taqsim . Room was tidy & clean . front office was supportive and welcoming . the main observation for staff rather than front office (they only speaks Turkish) which makes communication very difficult + limited options @ breakfast .

I think this hotel is of Mediocre standard and for that reason it is a bit pricey for what it is. The staff at reception are polite and helpful. But I can not say the same for waiters and waitresses as your treatment will differ if you have European appearance ( having fair co lour of skin and hair) or not. The quality of breakfast is not of the same standard through out the day and the week which is not very high to begin with.

I arrived just at check in time which took no time to accommodate in our room. The reception people were extremely friendly and helpful ( Serkan and his colleague lady from Adana). The bell captain had very good English and described every thing in a professional manner. The hotel is super clean and comfortable. I am sure I will go again but I will choose a Posphorus view room next time.

I was told during my early check out that the hotel wl send me the details of the invoice which I hv not got it till now even though I hv send an email to request for it but no reply uptillnow but instead the survey came earlier than the request

I was received by a pleasant and helpful receptionist. I generally found those at the reception polite pleasant and helpful. My bed arrangement kept changing from being a double bed and a single joined and then to two single bed joined? I would say the sleeping was comfortable and was not really affected by these changes. But I would prefer continuity. The staff at breakfast asked all the European looking (white with fair hair) what they liked to have tea or coffee as soon as they took a seat but this never happened to me during my 5 days stay? One actually frowned at me when I attempted to exchange greeting? The quality of breakfast was not consistent on different days. The view from my room was nice and my room was quite roomy with the usual amenities e.g. fridge etc.

Fantastic stay. Comfort and support by all in particular by the lady manager (forgot her name), the young concierge/usher gentleman (forgot his name too) at the main door and also Ms Shahida at the break fast buffet was awesome. Room and service overall fantastic !

« i lost a diamond and sapphire necklace but other than that i had a good time.... :-/ »

mercure Taksim is an excellent hotel mainly because of its front desk staff. simge, serkan, tolga et al. were extremely co-operative when disaster struck. I lost a diamond and sapphire necklace during my stay and I suspect it was probably one of the other guests on my floor that took advantage of my brief absence or something. When I discovered my necklace missing they did help me a lot in trying to find it, even went as far as to assure me that they would get in touch with after I returned to my country, in case it was discovered later on. I'm still hoping that they are successful in doing so. The facilities are clean and top notch. The staff is very friendly and rush to your aid when needed and other than this blip on my vacation mentioned above, I would like to believe that I can come here again and I would have a good stay. That being said, I hope that mercure can install cameras closer to adjoining rooms so that when guests are staying in those rooms, who are not on a trip together and something like this happens, it would become easier to locate someone's stolen valuables.

I had a short stay, but during this period I am impressed with the happy and kind approach of hotel staff. Both Asuman Hanim in front desk (reception) and Çağla Hanım in breakfast area were very kind to me and other guests. I was welcomed in a very warm way by the young doorman and reception staff. They were very helpful and kind. The staff on the terrace were friendly, welcoming and very kind too. They were all great, a special thank you to the all 3 staff on the terrace and Muslum who spoke to me and went out of his way to make me comfortable. All of your staff were great and I have no complaints. I enjoyed my stay at your hotel and will consider booking at your hotel again on my next visit. The breakfast was good too!
