« A little bt out of the way »

The hotel location to the railway station was great but not a lot around the area to look at. The actual hotel and staff were great. You could put a ramp in so we don't have to carry bags and our television did not work, but these issues were not big issues.

« Not what I expected »

The hotel is not too bad but I did not think it's my first choice in Milan. One lift was broken, the other one was not working at some point. The spa facility and the breakfast egg menu are chargeable, which is far worse than the Hilton & Crowne Plaza where I normally stay. The roof-top bar was super crowded with young kids (someone's 18th birthday?), the free voucher gave me a small beer only... (normally comes with light snack/nuts) Apart from the room & view, I did not have positive impression.

« Great hotel in a location which suited us »

Overall we were very happy, reception (Pietro?) was great and friendly, something which makes a difference. Rooms and amenities were as expected (good). I found the tv a bit difficult to navigate (but then I'm not an Italian speaker so the instructions were a bit hard to follow. We intended to dine at the restaurant however we found the menu quite lacking (our opinion, others may have found it to their liking).

« Great Hotel but requires a few tweaks to make it perfect »

The hotel was great, lovely and clean, but needs a few tweaks to make it perfect. We arrived the first night in Milan quite late so we had missed dinner and we were so tired we went straight to our room. We thought we had complimentary nuts, crisps etc. and we devoured the lot as we were starving and, because the room was quite dark and after a long days travel, we did not see the small note saying that these nibbles were chargeable to the room! Well, we could not believe what we had been charged! Astronomical is all I can say! We used the small pool/spa area too whilst we were there, and, after a long day walking around the city in 30 degree heat, we were all looking forward to a cooling dip. The water was more like a bath so this was really quite disappointing. It would have been so much nicer if the pool was cooler. It was also VERY dark, almost like being in a cave. Some may think this quite relaxing but I found it quite creepy. The hotel has a great space on the roof, a bar and seating area. This looked amazing when we saw the photographs online but we were so disappointed when we went up there as it was mostly closed and empty. The rooms AC was not very good either and we had to ask reception to help with this. It didn't work very well. On the positive, all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was scrumptious and everything you could wish for was there. Beds and pillows very comfortable too.

After flying for 24 hours we arrive at your hotel. I had to then carry 50kg of luggage up your stairs on my own , while 3 young male staff watched from your reception & offered no help. Same happened when I left This left a very poor initial & last perception This would be a consideration for using you again

« Good location, friendly staff but room too "modern" »

The staff were friendly and helpful but there were a number of things about the room (1202) furnishings that I found unhelpful: - The shower had glass walls on both sides so that if I were having a shower and my wife was using the toilet we could both see each other. Perhaps this is what you want in your 20's but at age 65 and 70, our bodies are not what they were. I suggest a screen that can be pulled down to enable a bit of privacy. - Both my wife and I banged our heads on the glass screen in getting up from the toilet because we forgot that it was there - There were no basin plugs (like Moscow in the 1960's) meaning that I had to shave under running water - hardly ecofriendly - The space between the two washbasins was crowded with hotel amenities, so that we had no space for our own kit - The marble floor slabs of the shower were not arranged so that the water drained away properly - The bottom of the toilet door post is starting to rot - I spent several minutes trying to work out how to get the mirror light in the bathroom to come on without also turning on the TV. Who watches TV while they are shaving anyway? - The right hand tap on the right hand wash basin is stiff - Some sort of labeling for the light switches would be helpful. Some of them turn on lights while others turn on various loudspeakers and the TV monitor in the bathroom. The right hand bedside light is turned on by the left hand switch..... - The air conditioner control is hidden behind a window curtain making it difficult to read and also inaccurate as the temperature on the window side of a window curtain is normally hotter in summer and colder in winter than room temperature. The maximum setting for the thermostat was 22˚C so the room was colder than we wanted at times - again not ecofriendly - No rack was provided for a suitcase. Although there was plenty of storage, not everyone wants to completely unpack for a two night stay - On the second night there was a very loud disco in the rooftop bar next to our room. On enquiring how long it would last we were told "all night" (later explained to mean midnight in Italian, rather than the English meaning of "until dawn".) In fact, it stopped at 10:30. It would have been better if we had been warned about this on checking in.

Two nights after arriving in Milano we spent here. Very pleasant staff at reception to greet us. Room was quite small but had everything we needed. Light switches very confusing. Great breakfasts. Flight of steps on arrival very difficult carrying suitcases! Roof top bar lovely.

« Great staff and hotel, but beware of steps »

We enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived at the front desk. We were warmly greeted, our room was comfortable, the location good, and the breakfast delightful. But to enjoy all of this one has to climb a flight of steps without a railing, which was extremely difficult for my wife.the staff may assist with your bags, but if I wasn’t with her, my wife would not have been able to enter or leave the hotel.
