« Does What I Want »

Booked in Advance and got a good rate. Room faced Talbot Square and there was no exterior noise. I can think of many 4 * star hotels which could do with this level of soundproofing. Nice Welcome, Great Position, good nights sleep and easy check out within easy walking distance to Blackpool North Station

« Location, location, location! »

Excellent location by North Pier and 5 minute walk from Blackpool North station. Close to main shopping area, Tower, trams and beach. Staff are lovely - always helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable with great sea view. The only negative is breakfast, which can be very busy (sometimes nowhere to sit) and no cooked option. It is free though, or there are cheap alternatives nearby.

« Great location underwhelming rooms »

While the website makes the hotel look very clean and neat the queen rooms definitely did not live up to this expectation. The location is brilliant but the windows did not close properly so was very noisy and the beds were very uncomfortable. Walls were unclean and shabby and all in all just very very misleading. For the price I would rather have gone to the Hilton.

« Absolutely Fine »

This is a budget 3 star hotel in a great position and as long as you do not expect anything more you will not be disappointed. I'm not fan of continental breakfasts but there are heaps of places for a cheap full fry up very near by. The room was small but that was what we paid for. the bed/bathroom were all adequate and I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Staff were all very nice and drinks were reasonably priced. In summary, I have travelled extensively and paid a lot more for hotels that do not come anywhere near this one.

« Here to see the Illuminations. »

Bit of a strange hotel. No parking of any sort, not even to unload luggage. There is a Municipal car park not too far away, but is £14 for 24hrs. Lift up to reception. Our room was in a horrible situation at back of hotel overlooking back of old now defunct night club. Very small single beds. Having said all this we were right beside North Pier, trams & restaurants at back of hotel.

« good location »

the staff could not have been nicer or more welcoming and certainly made the stay as enjoyable as possible . only downside was the noise at night from the nearby club. The car parking was good value with the discount applied. the sea view room was great .

Small No frills room, but everything you need for a stay away provided. Very clean. Very well situated by the North pier, within easy walking distance of all main attractions and close to railway station and bus stop. Continental breakfast provided. Restaurant can get busy at times, but there is an option to take breakfast back to the room. Georgious sea view, though not all rooms have this.

« Short break »

I stayed at Ibis Styles on 27th August for one night. The room included a kettle, television, bathroom and storage. Free wifi in rooms and communal areas, breakfast was also included with the room. The hotel is near to Blackpool North train station and the seafront and pier.

« Awful! »

rooms were dirty, dingy and resembled that of a hostel! to top it off the bed sheets were moldy. We didn't stay the night and asked for our money back, and we were not the only ones complaining! We were greeted by two guests at the check in who were also complaining. they had found their room to be dirty, moldy and even had a dirty sock on the smoke detector. We checked in none the less, but were also greeted with a similar set up. the room was dark, dirty, small and generally look tired. and to top it off our sheets in the bed were moldy. We soon checked out and asked for our money back. upon returning the next day to check this had been done. we found other guests at check in making complaints also. Staff were friendly but didn't seem inclined to do anything in the way of dealing with complaints

Dear Sophie I'm sorry that you were unhappy with some aspects of your stay Our linen is cleaned by a local commercial laundry company and goes through a quality checking procedure. I would suspect that any marks were marks rather than mould but the bed shouldn't have been made with them! I've discussed this with the member of housekeeping responsible and explained why she needs to be more attentive. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thanks for your feedback Regards David

« fantastic stay »

I would personally like to say a huge thankyou to the staff at the Ibis, never have I stayed anywhere else where the staff are so friendly and helpful, from checking in to checking out nothing is too much trouble for them, always up for a chat and a laugh and they wear smiles well done all round, the rooms are adequate for the stay, always choose a sea view it is well worth it for the view, continental breakfast might not be everyones choice but there is plenty to put you on until you venture out for something else if needed, coffee and juice on tap and they never moan no matter what time you trudge through reception to help yourself. I always stay at the Ibis when in BLACKPOOL, in the centre of anything you should need re shops, pubs, restaurant and the lovely North Pier facing, well done all who work there we will be back, keep up the good work it is appreciated

« Do not stop in the hotel »

By far the is the worst hotel, it's that bad this is the first review I have ever felt the need to write. Don't get me started on breakfast, I've seen sheds bigger than the room, shower just terrible.

« Less than budget »

The saving grace at this hotel was the staff and breakfast. As you arrive you are greeted by a number of large bins next to the entrance. As you go in through the front door your are greeted firstly by some weird funky smell, and secondly a sparse space with little information. The reception area was very badly signposted but I found it eventually. The guy on the front desk was very nice indeed and jolly helpful. The reception and bar space itself was nice enough too. So my bedroom...well it looked less than budget. Something remarkably cheap about it. Don't get me wrong, it was clean enough but nowhere near the standards of other chains in the same price bracket. The bed itself was solid. Not firm (which I like), solid. It made for a short, uncomfortable sleep. It was a windy night when I stayed which meant the internal windows whistled like buggery so I had to open them to stop that but it did mean I had direct access to the noise from the club a few doors up. After a restless sleep I was glad that the breakfast was a decent selection of continental options (again the staff were very friendly). It's a shame the standard of the room and entrance was so low as it's clearly a beautiful building and the location is great.

Dear Chazi1983, I'm sorry about those bins outside! There is no access to the rear of the building and the refuse collection service will only collect them if they're put at the front. However, they're only out for a few hours but I'm sorry you had to see them I'll look at improving the signage in the entrance foyer too Thanks for your useful feedback Regards David

« GREAT LOCATION »

Right in the centre You can park outside to unload your bags and then drive round the corner to park in the West End Car park which was £18 for 3 days Friendly staff Cant comment on the Breakfast as we never got up in time Lol. Keycards dont work first time but that is a common issue everywhere? Room 208 needs more sockets 2 is by far too little when you have 2 phones to charge and a kettle and Tongs and a Shaver

« Blackpool Fun. »

On arrival I was not sure about the hotel - very run down exterior and nowhere to park to unload. However, interior was much better. Did get allocated a room on the interior looking into the roof of the building but asked to be moved because the extractor fan was not working and was very loud. On moving we were at the front of the hotel and had a partial sea view and was much larger. The breakfast was excellent - really good value. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great parking deal.

« Could be better »

Stayed here previously (even in it's Travelodge days) so knew what expect. For price paid continental breakfast choices were none too shabby, in fact the quality of most products were very good. The issue this visit was housekeeping. Room on arrival was not of the standard one would expect from a respectable chain. I expect to find no evidence of the previous guest, unfortunately hairs in shower & various debris on carpet were encountered. Very little done after first night, eg no bin emptied and no run over with vacuum. Better next day. This could be a great hotel with very little extra effort, stayed in the Ibis Carlisle beforehand which seemed much better run.
