« Great position, warm, spacious & lovely breakfast. Tricky road access - read this. »

The hotel is in a great position opposite North Pier. Looks bad from outside but super modern, clean and spacious inside. Lifts, corridors and rooms spacious and suitable for medium size mobility scooter (just one double door out of Reception was tricky). Unfortunately, Blackpool extension of tram lines completely messed up all roads around and big difficulty getting car to hotel. Trick is to go down to South Pier and go up the Promenade ignoring Road Closed signs - follow Access only to West Car Park fetches you to back of hotel and 15 min loading bay. Despite road works outside all through night, double glazing works very efficiently. Continental breakfast cannot be bettered, and 24 hour free hot and cold drinks machines is a lovely extra. Can't wait to come back when Blackpool finishes the improvements.

Great stay. We knew the room would be small, but wanted clean, comfortable and the room was that. Staff were polite and helpful and breakfast as perfectly adequate. Ground floor entrance was a bit smelly, but not a huge issue

« Lovely Staff - Great Locations - Cold in Winter »

Hotel was lovely. I turned up at 4am after a long drive and the staff were wonderful. Checked in quickly so I could sleep. The room itself was extremely cold (it was November) and there was only a split air conditioning system in place which had been left off prior to arrival. Therefore the temperature was freezing. I turned on the unit but took up to 1.5 hours to get warm. Bedding was also more of a sheet than a duvet which is fine in a hot room. Probably would have been fine if I had arrived earlier. Breakfast was basic but great. Fresh croissants, ham, cheese, fresh bread rolls, juices, cereals, toast etc... so absolutely fine. Check out process was quick and the staff were extremely helpful and wished me on my way. Value for money I think was fair and would go back again on my next trip.

Slightly dismayed by the scruffy exterior of the hotel and the unpleasant smell in the lift on our arrival. Room and bathroom were clean but the heating did not work, which was fine as we don’t like sleeping in stuffy rooms, but it was quite cold!

Appalling smell in the downstairs entrance. Public areas are tired and in need of care and attention. Rooms are basic, with dirty exterior windows. Half the rooms overlook a wall!

Tatty looking outside but the inside is bright and jolly. Staff were helpful, breakfasts were ok, hotel’s in a good spot. But... there is not enough space between the toilet and wall and sink so you can’t turn around.

Staff were very friendly especially Michael (I hope I’ve remembered that right) on reception at check in. It was clear it hadn’t been a straight forward evening but he handled it with professionalism. Yes the hotel could do with a spruce but for me it was literally a bed for the night. The bed was a bit too firm for me but it was ok. The only plug in the room was so far from the bed but it meant I wasn’t up on my phone later than I would have liked. Shower was lovely and hot. I could hear a slight bass from a bar or club below but again that didn’t stop my drifting off. I’ve stayed in another ibis styles that was fabulous and I’m sure this one will get there.

« A clean room and comfy bed for the night. Breakfast not so good! »

The appearance of the hotel from the outside was very poor. If I had been walking off the street I probably wouldn't have walked in. The room we were provided was clean and had a lovely sea view and was quiet. I understand you are catering for the masses on a budget but the breakfast really was unpleasant. The fruit salad was old, the tea with carton milk wasn't drinkable and the jam jar's with spoons for people to help themselves was disgusting. Overall the room was fine but I wouldn't have breakfast again.
