Two days and one night is not enough time to see the wonderful sites in this city, but we saw so much and gained a great appreciation for the city and its history. The hotel service was great and the hotel was in a great location for our travels

Overall not bad, however cleaning staff never places new empty laundry bags in the room. Every time I had to go and ask for it at reception. Why? Present for platinum card holder - a one sweet...... Are you serious? For platinum card you give a one sweet less than 1 Euro cost??? I never saw so cheap and poor present for premium Accor card holder. Don't be so cheap guys, it's shame, real shame for 4 star hotel.

I loved Florence and I loved this hotel.So close to everything and only 2 small blocks from train station. Room was very comfortable and spacious. I had a problem with my original room and staff were more than happy to assist.All the staff were so friendly and helpful, even the new girl at reception who had her first day. Amazing people (I dont know why the staff here had a bad review - maybe they were full at the time and couldnt accodate requests - but my experience was lovely!)My only negative remarks are with the bathroom rain shower head, water went ever direction - all it needed to fix was to wipe the small rubber nozzles with a finger and the calcium came off. And a bit of mold in the inside corner of shower screen. However, I still highly recommend this hotel, everything is at your door step.

* It was eight degrees in the night , room heater was not working * Staff were courteous , who provided additional sheets * Bathroom towels were dirty , had to get additional ones * My room was 509 ( 4th Floor) , next to an private elevator , whole night had a sound in the wall ( behind the bed) , once on the right , after few seconds it used to be on the left side , it was like a water droplet ( little heavy) - cudn't sleep the whole night !!!

Nice central location easy walk from station and to visit town. Not easy to find breakfast room up and down stairs and two lifts!!

« The hotel was close to the train station »

The stay was ok! There were a few challenges, such as the pillows and bed being quite firm; paper cups for tea and coffee and flimsy plastic cups for everyday drinking. Our room had a very unpleasant odour of effluent on our balcony, which may have been caused by the sewer pipe that protruded through the middle of the patio. Shower base had an insert, which did not hold the water in the shower, so consequently there was a large pool of water, at the entrance to the bathroom, after the shower had been used. Generally, while we noted that the hotel had been upgraded and the staff were helpful and pleasant, there appeared to be a "cheapness" to the whole experience, which surprised us! We had booked two rooms and had expected a complimentary upgrade, on at least one room, as a Gold Accor Member, however this was not made available to us, during our stay

Well located hotel near near all public transport.. The rooms are new, very clean, and with an excelent bathroom.. The staff was always polite and helped me whenever i needed information.. I would recomennd this hotel !

« A very convenient hotel, very near to the Santa Maria Novella Train Station and close to many major sights in Firenze. »

As an AccorHotel member for many years, I have experienced other Mercure hotels elsewhere, and this one in Firenze appeared to have fallen short of my usual higher expectations of Mercure - location-wise, it is a very convenient if one is using the Italian trains for travelling to other cities. However, I was not at all pleased with the size of the bathroom where the shower area is simply too small for comfortable bathing, and breakfast was way below my expectations also - there was limited choice of food, with cold bread and no salad/egg.

« Some nice touches and lots of room for improvement »

It was an interesting experience. Some nice touches that we received when we informed the hotel of our anniversary that would coincide with our stay. Balloons, petals and a complimentary cake. However, there were some general points that should be taken note of - bottled water, plastic cups and changing of bedsheets as well as breakfast spread.

« The room is big and clean »

Generally speaking everything is good here. The only thing is when you shower the water will coming out from the shower space and make outside very wet. It makes us feel annoying coz we have to use many towels to dry the floor.

« As expected from any other Mercure hotel. »

Check in and check out experience is good. Staff is efficient and willing to explain. Overall, hotel is a bit tired and needs to refresh as compared with Mercure Centro Firenze we stayed before. Housekeeping perhaps needs retraining as bathroom was not well cleaned in comparison with other Mercure or Novotel hotels.

Good Location , Room is very satify but not the best. Breakfast is standard choice, no more choice and service mind of kitchen is very poor (can not warm rice with microwave for 2 minutes) but other hotel is not deny this request.
