Sofitel Club and Club service pretty good. Very friedly employees. Reception very friedly and try to do everything well. Service during breakfast really bad. Never had such a bad service before in a hotel.

I received an upgrade to an Executive Room including access to the lounge. The staff was very attentive and considerate to all my request and needs. Additionally the Executive Lounge managers were highly supportive and asked at any occasion if I needed service whenever I was in the Lounge. Also check in and check out was very smooth, effective and quick. Very good service.

« Good, but hard for non-native people »

I was very impressed with hotel rooms and friendly people, but unfortunaly i arrived when there was a lot of adaptation work going on. Food was ok, but the same every day. Overall, the experience was good, and would recommend it to other people.

« Hotel handicapped by location »

Adequate. The pollution in Shenyang is shocking, and the smell on the club floors in terrible - worse than on the lower floors. The club lounge is well staffed in fact Jason is a rock star, but otherwise the hotel is very lack luster. I was put into a no club floor, and I wouldn't stay in those rooms. They are in disrepair. The windowless gym is at least large, but the window around the corner in the ping pong room is a popular staff smoking area... making the gym the world's only smoking gym, in an already polluted city. That needs fixing. There is no decent coffee in the building. You have to go down the road to another hotel to get anything decent.

« Some improvement in the Hardware but Staff are still Excellent »

As I always expressed my reservation on the hardware of the hotel, the constant noise indicates that some upgrading work is going on. This is a good sign that the hotel is indeed doing something to improve the facilities and rooms. I doubt I shall have the opportunity to see the completion of the renovation due to my upcoming retirement. During the recent stay, I did notice some minor improvement on the room, the facilities and amenities. A good sign! However, Sofitel is still great with her staff. They are still very efficient, friendly and professional in their works. For the moment, the people is still the most effective and attractive factors to attract back the regular guests. I still stayed at the club floor and had my breakfast in the Executive lounge. Again, the staff, lead by Stella, and with the members such as Ash and Christina still form a great team at the Executive Floor to serve the guests. They are extremely friendly and efficient in their services and attitude. Of course, the legendary Jason is still providing his excellent service in the Executive Lounge. I know Jason since 2008 and have great admiration on his service standard and attitude. Jason is indeed an asset of the hotel. The Chamber Maid still did a fantastic job in keeping my room clean and tidy, and that the amenities are adequately stocked. Well, nothing is perfect. The WiFi provided by the hotel should be enhanced which would be of great help to the guests who are on working trip.

« Comfortable stay in Shenyang »

Coming back to the Sofitel regularly on business it is good to see they are upgrading the hotel. Got a free upgrade on the club floor which was nice. Room was spacious, bathroom had both a tub as well as a shower. Heating was working well and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is a good selection of Chinese and Intercontinental cuisine. Personally I liked that they did a variety of fresh juices which helps to boost your immune system especially during the cold winter months. What I also can recommend is the hot pot in their Chinese restaurant. Awesome value for money and really delicious.

A very good week in Shenyang, including a lot of efforts of SOFITEL team to welcome guests and make life easy. Contacts, support, quality of rooms and accomodations, high level of service ! Good level of internet easy to connect most of time ! So little place for improvement, but maybe an air dryer in the bathroom and a richer wine list will place the experience at the perfect level !
