« Unacceptable horrible chemical smell; limited facilities during construction; new beds very hard »

Staff was friendly and worked hard to accommodate my concerns, but ultimately the hotel was unacceptable. If conditions are the same on my return, I will immediately check out and find another hotel. Terrible chemical smell that was very strong in elevators and in the hotel rooms. I suspect it is either a pesticide, construction or cleaning chemical. It made my eyes sting and feel sick. I was convinced to take upsell room to new construction area and the beds are extremely hard. The staff put a comforter under the sheet to soften it, but still an unacceptable bed compared to a high-class comfort bed such as Hilton hotels. Electrical connections for new TV in first room was not connected properly and staff moved me to another room (inconvenience). Smell was not any better in the other room. Restaurants and bar in hotel were closed due to construction, and spa was also closed. Appreciated the adequate supply of water bottles in the room.

I woke up 3-4am everyday due to the noise from the street and maybe airplane Iron machine plug is not chinese standard No coffee in the room The reception swapped my room with my colleage, hence, wifi password and name in the receipt were all swap. I like apartment style, room is very big and good breakfast

My stay was good. I had a few issues with regard to hot water upon which I was moved to another room. The first week and a haldf the food waa not good. The last week of my stay I noticed an improvement in the food.

From arrival at hotel thru checked out, staff attending to their services with a smile and willingness to provide their best. Meet Front desk Kobe at reception during check in and also at check out. Always smiling and offer to explain about the hotel services including how to take the subway due to jammed traffic. When I go to Shenyang,I stay another hotel like hilton, le merdien etc. it’s first time there. I am acvor platinum member. So I request new renovation room. But your hotel request more charge. But It’s not expensive price in accor app. So I am not happy. But It’s good place in new renovation room. No lounge service there bcz it’s renovated. If you ask me one more stay,I can’t say yes. It’s better near in Hilton hotel. I hope your hotel service is better. Thank you.

I was mostly satisfied with the stay at your hotel. However I had to wait nearly an hour for my food to be served in your Chinese restaurant. There were only two tables occupied during that time, a table of about 8 persons and my table of one. I had ordered rice and a chicken dish but it was not served for at least 50-55 minutes and I had to ask the wait staff to check on the status of my order. She checked and told me that my order had been served to the other table and that they were just then preparing my order. After I was done with my meal I spent at least 10 minutes looking for a staff to get me my bill. It felt like your Chinese restaurant was understaffed. Whilst I understand that your hotel was going through upgrading works, the level of service received at that restaurant was unacceptable at an establishment such as yours. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve in that area.

I had a really nice stay in your hotel recently, and loved most every minute of it. The suite I was upgraded to was stunning, but there was an issue for me with the plugs. There were only two plugs available in the whole room that I could use. The other plugs were all type I and not the standard type C that I usually see when traveling in China. One was in the entrance hall and one was where the TV was plugged in. This was somewhat inconvenient as I couldn't keep my phone by my bed to charge as I slept. I ended up unplugging the TV to use that outlet. The executive lounge staff were all stellar and really friendly and helpful. The concierge helped me plan out my day of sightseeing and the airport transport went well, too. I enjoyed the room service I had, but I was a little sad that the restaurant was closed for renovation. I could have gone to the buffet, but I just stayed in the room instead. Thanks for everything, and I would for sure choose this hotel again if I were to travel to this area once again.

Overall love the Sofitel. Peter, Ash, Jason, Stella, Lisa and Owen are absolute gems. I never wanted for anything and they bent over backwards to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The renovations were a bit disruptive, but yes, a necesity and cant wait to see the Improved Sofitel. The only downside was the Wi-Fi. As I travel on business, this is a must for a high speed line. Many times there was no connection in the room. Although Ash tried to assist, the service kept dropping.
