« An amazing time at the truly 5-star resort »

I have had an amazing time at this hotel. I stayed for 2 weeks and there was no single thing which was wrong. Everything was perfect. I would like to mention following members of the staff who were above and beyond to make my stay the most amazing time of my life: Erik, Kristine, Evi, Laksana, Yuli, Oka, Tanti, Dona, Sri, Lydia, Devi and Dodek. Especially Kristine got my attention as extremely professional and above and beyond. The only thing which was disappointing to me was that Le Club wasn't granted on expenses at Vietura, which is advertised as a part of the hotel, which according to the Le club terms and conditions could earn points as a beauty parlour. Unfortunately, I was informed after my stay, that it's a third party provider, therefore no points credited. I think that it was a bit misleading if that's advertised as a part of the hotel on the official hotel website.

From the start when I enter the lobby, I was very satisfied. The check in process was very quick, thx to Ms. Yuni for being so helpful and informed us many things aboit the hotel, and by using the Accor compliment, I got a very beautiful room. What a great experience to enjoy one of the best luxurious resort in Bali (imo)

« Wonderful cadre and relaxation despite untrained and often rustic albeit extremely friendly personnel. »

The environment was excellent, the personnel extremely courteous and friendly, but often clueless (often, at levels requiring elaborate customer contact, unable to understand simple English accurately) and rustic in their ways, and clearly poorly managed -- lines of management unclear and ineffective, supply to the various restaurants (except Millesime) uncertain and unpredictable. Breakfast buffet: very good variety, but notable lack of good fruit (what was available was median supermarket grade), cheese (same comment as with fruit -- and this is a French hotel ! ), and west Asian olive and olive oil related food. The staff sefvig at brreakfast: clearly very much understaffed, staff roles undefined, so very much delay in keeping the dining room clean and tidy.

My experience at the Sofitel Nusa Dua was wonderful. The staff need to be commended on their jobs, they were very polite and always ready to help. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and always smelt lovely. The pools are great with lots of seating in the shade.

« Great resort, great service but choices of food very limiting. »

We stayed for 8 nights and our plan was always to stay at the resort and have all meals there. However we were disappointed that Kwee Zeen closed within one day of our arrival and that the beach club also was not serving meals. Consequently our food choices were very limited as we do not enjoy buffets, so we ordered from the menu. We were not able to use our Accor card for lunch anywhere. At the same time we had to endure the noise from the renovations taking place. We know improvements are necessary but it would have courteous to have notified us of this when booking, to pre warn us or give us the option to book at a different time. We loved the resort and our pool access room but it took us a couple of days of disappointments to finally settle into holiday mode. However we would like to return same time next year but would expect prior notification of any likely disruptions. It is a wonderful resort

Our stay was thourilly enjoyable, the accomodation was excellent and the service was exceptional. The staff we very helpful and friendly. The choices at the buffet breakfast were exceptional, the only thing I can fault was that the bacon as always overcooked. All meals and drinks were of top quality.

We have been staying here for 4 years and this year we were disappointed with the club room, the afternoon tea was wasted because it didn't appeal, a lot of things on the high tea stand were bland and tasteless , the wine list consisted of 1 red, 1 white, 1 rose' and of poor quality compared to what we had the previous years. I can't fault the staff they were wonderful as usual, some better than others I would suggest that the pool access rooms need to have a thorough bleaching on the floor if you lift the rug it has black mould which is down to the water in close vicinity and the weather, but the bleach would eliminate the black mould and also the rugs themselves could do with a proper clean not just a vacuum, the rooms other than this are spotless and the towels and bed linen are perfect.

Great service all round by the team with good hospitality and warmth. In particular a shoutout to Meity for her personal attention to detail and care during the stay. We also enjoyed the food throughout all dining establishments. Facilities contained within the resort meant we didn't have to leave during our stay, the balance of the beach, pool and dining was great. Really looking forward to returning when the beach club is fully open.

The Sofitel property is beautiful and it was nice to see the maintenance and constant cleansing of the pool areas. Room cleanliness and daily housekeeping were excellent. The kind and smiling staff added to a relaxing vacation. Rarely were we short of assistance. The staff are extremely hard-working. Pool areas and the service were exactly what we hoped for. The little touches of ice shooters and popcorn were definitely 5-star. The buffet breakfast in Kwee Zhee is quite amazing. I appreciated the separate fruits and serving utensils to minimize cross contamination. For dinners, we preferred the à la carte menu - orientale and Indonesian dishes were the most delicious. Unfortunately, when the Kwee Zhee restaurant closed for renovations, this was when our experience diminished. Staff were overwhelmed during breakfast and dinners, resulting in unorganized service, a bit chaotic, over-crowding, tables being wiped down with napkin by servers, leaving old cups (seemingly clean) at table when turned over, and food quality dropped. Our dinner at Cut Cucina was extremely disappointing - all dishes brought at once instead of secondis before mains, unseasoned meat, uneven cooking, and over-cooked pasta with a duck ragu that was not braised, but tomato sauce and duck added - no flavour). When I raised my concerns with the manager and asked the chef to be brought the food so they can improve - knowing they were overwhelmed to get the kitchen in order), the mananger was apologetic. He kindly offered to remake the dishes, but I declined. He returned later to inform me that our meal was covered by him and invited us to return. When we first started our stay, we wished we extended beyond 8 days, but the last few days changed the dynamics, so we were ready to go. It is considered mid-season, so surprised they didn't close the restaurant in low season. The renovations also brought constant noises we couldn't even enjoy our drinks at the bar. A few things that Sofitel could do to improve: -improve processes for organized high turnover, while maintaining clean standards. -strategically designate smoking areas and reinforce it. The smoking on pool lounge chairs (sitting in the water) blew everywhere in pool area. Smokers at patio tables right in front of Cut Cucina entrance meant smoke right into restaurant. -spa staff were very kind, but competency levels differed. Had 14 massages in total between my husband and I. Enjoyed the cleansing of feet with pressure points. Acceptable, but not expected standards for full spa. Small things like should close door after showing where to go so there is immediate privacy, lights and music (keep it consistent), room could be warmer, don't flip lights on when done, spa attendant could verbally inform the guest, with guests with long hair, should have a light cloth to wrap hair so it doesn't get pulled during massages, when massaging legs should twist cloth and tuck under stomach and knees and raise cloth evenly to allow guest to flip in privacy. Little touches. Staff seem very motivated to provide the best service , so it would be worthwhile for Sofitel to have regular professional training to update their massage technique. Very 1990s style and technically could not tell the difference between their different types of massages. -welcome drink for silver members should simply be off the regular menu or a set cost. Limited drinks to 3 options of which one was not available. -Cheeky Monkeys - would be nice if more educational. My son did the Harvesting culture and cooking class, but did not come back with much knowledge and cooking was only stirring. So he was very disappointed in those aspects but liked the staff. While my comments have both pros and cons, we really did have a great time and would recommend Sofitel Bali. My recommendations are to improve the client experience. Sofitel will be on my shortlist for my next travels.

We stayed in a room with pool access which was very convenient and relaxing. Our room had Club Milleseme access which included breakfast, afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks. Club Milleseme staff were exceptional. This was our second stay at Sofitel and would stay again.

R&R trip to Bali and selected Nusa Dua as we didn't plan to bring the 1.5 year old toddler to Seminyak area. Decided to splurge on a pool access room and Club Melliseme for the convenience to stay in the property with the toddler. Got to the club by 2:30pm and was told check in is at 3pm. Not an issue as we could lounge around the club which was comfortable and had a children play area. Also I was email prior to the trip where i had declined an early check in as we thought we would get there by 3pm and required a late check out at 3pm on our departure date. we only got to our room at 4pm which was rather disappointing considering all the pre-planning. The room was setup with the crib we had requested and only missing the extra towels we needed for the toddler. Overall we enjoyed the room and the pool access. After getting the toddler her afternoon nap which was much delayed, we wandered around and tried giving the kids club a try with no success as our little one refused. This coupled with the club not allowing kids for the drinks hours of 5 to 7pm, we were stuck trying to take turns to drink and baby sit. Finally the staff told us we could go to the executive lounge rather than the club M, but the benefits would not be as great, however they offer to bring the food to us if needed. We were thankful of the solution and go on with our night. Would have been useful information to tell us earlier of this option as we were constantly stating that we were worried that the toddler won't want to be without either of us in the kids club. Even stated this in the pre-arrival email. Went on to dinner at Catch as it was my birthday and had a really good meal there. The following 3 days was full of fun and good service from the staff. The facility is well managed and with friendly staff. Called room service a few times and they were attentive. Went out to dinner the following nights and concierge have been very helpful. The following days we had only used club M for tea time and drinks at executive lounge, which was acceptable considering our circumstances. I do hope that the executive lounge expand their wine offering as it was getting boring with the same wine everyday. We requested confirmation on the late check out at 3pm (which was a stated perk with Club M based on availability) and only the day before they could offer us a 1pm checkout as opposed to 11am. Further pestering before we got this extended to 2pm. This makes me wonder why the pre-arrival email stating a 3pm checkout when they struggle to honor that timing. We made up the different by having lunch at Club M. I would say overall it was a good experience being my 3rd trip back to Bali, this time with a toddler. As the tittle suggest, it's my first time with Sofitel brand and my expectations were higher given the price point, also in comparison to brands that I'm use to like Marriot, Anantara and Four Seasons.

Eddy was the first person to look after us & proved to be a great representative of your hotel He was always friendly, funny & helpful throughout our stay. A new staff member Eka was delightful., in fact to be fair, everyone was exceptionally friendly & helpful, I'm sorry that I cant remember more names.you can be very proud of you staff.
