Check in: was a breeze and welcome drink is nice The room (bathroom): worst cheapest hairdryer provided, as a female the toilet was terrible if you don't sit correctly when you pee it comes out the front, water in the shower smelt like recycled sewer water which didn't make you feel safe washing yourself in, with an outdoor pool we only got one towel per person, would provide two; shouldn't expect your guest to shower with the same towel as what they use for the pool The room (bed): -the 'pillow selection'; a European pillow (ie. square pillow) is for decoration not for sleeping, they are extremely uncomfortable to sleep on and not a single selection was a foam/latex pillow. you need to reassess your pillow selection and update accordingly. -The sheets and pillow case; firstly they were all stained when we arrived (probably due to colour) but they smelt cleaned so we didn't fuss. But after 6 days especially in the humid weather with people sweating I would expect the sheets to be changed at least once in our 6 night stay, and we could tell they weren't changed to do the stains The room (amenities): -fridge was loud and noisy, didn't cool anything at all, had warm water most of the time, shouldn't be expected to get ice to cool things down -the complimentary bottles are too small, if we cannot drink the tap water you either should provide bigger water bottles or more smaller ones -the safe is terrible! I had to dismantle my camera to make it fit. its not deep enough and I had to push it down to open and lock it -air conditioner: would stop working throughout the night, I would wake up sweating -phone: stopped working in the last two nights so I'd have to go outside to the lifts and use the phone to call reception The room (pool): -not PRIVATE AT ALL. firstly our neighbors could see directly into our yard. either put up more trees to block the view, or change the dividing walls. in addition the rooms above have full view of the pool. We could use it 'privately' as there was a guest in the top level taking photos of us. The cover over the pool should be longer as this would provide shade from the sun, PRIVACY from the floors above, and also protection if its raining so we could still use the pool which happens a lot in RAINING SEASON! Breakfast: -for a tropical country there's barely any fruit. I expected to see exotic fruits that only grow in -for a French resort, the chef needs to learn how to make the famous french sauce: hollandaise sauce Italian brestaurant: -i was extremely annoyed I had to pay 100,000 for water! When we were seated we were asked if we wanted water, not thinking we had to pay. it wasn't until we got the drinks menu we saw the price of water and the fact there were two sizes and also we could have selected sparkling for the same price. We were given the biggest bottle of course as its the most expensive. In Australia when asked if you like water you are not charged, and if there is a fee you would be told and you can then look at the menu and reconsider. In addition I asked for No pepper in my Cabonara sauce and instead I got a whole bottle of pepper but we were so hungry I didn't want to complain and wait again for my meal to be re cooked, chances are they would get it wrong again. The activities: -very disappointed we have to pay for a lot of the activities on the resort. I understand for some activities there will be a fee, but for yoga is it really necessary? Checkout: No problems with checkout, was easy to complete Staff: We felt everybody were robots and programmed to complete one task. we had a cake left in our room for 3 days that was complimentary from Sofitel which was lovely, however its a chocolate cream based cake that shouldn't be left out for more than a few hours. The staff don't have this common sense to throw it out, instead I have to. In addition a plate with a knife and a used napkin again was left in our room for days in addition to the rotting fruit in the bowl. Overall Sofitel has a lot to learn and change to make this a 5 star resort. I've stayed in a number of Sofitel resorts in the world this has been the worst by far Our problem with reviewing Sofitel is we came from Padma Resort in Ubud which is by far the best resort experience we have had! You can learn from them, plus the cost of staying here was not worth the stay at all, and we got a discounted room. We would of had the same experience staying at the Westin for half the price. Poor form Sofitel Nusa Dua! Being a LeAccor hotel member didn't provide me with any benefits choosing this hotel. We got one complimentary drink, not a significant benefit.

Stayed in two different rooms but plunge pool and luxury room but Stay was great. But what annoyed me most was the carpet had stains all over it. Very bad in my opinion For such a nice hotel and give so much credit to them but the finishing was not. The baby cot they gave me was very disappointing with stains and dirt all over it. It was disgusting. Our dirty bed sheet was for some odd reason left in the room for two days after ringing housekeeping advising this needed to be removed on the next cleaning arrangement which wasn’t up until the second day. You pay quality money but the finishing touches were not. After the hotel spraying the room with mosquito spray in the afternoon. I wake up too see mosquitoes all over my beds sheets. That was pretty bad especially Having a 6 month old staying with me in this room One thing I cannot take away from this stay were the staff you meet and greet. There are the face of that hotel with many credit going to them for their outstanding efforts. Hotel management need to either have those carpets steamed cleaned once per week or they will have Un happy guests who may feel disgusted when staying at Sofitel just like I did. Other than that , recommend this hotel and will stay here if I go back again to Bali but these things do require attention.

Stayed there for 2 nights. after checking out from Pullman legian. Fabulous property and very nice rooms.Special thanks to Mr. Paroi front office for extraordinary help. Siti hostess at Kwe zeen restaurant. Nice dinner at cucino.

« I have been travelling to Bali for the last 12 years had not been for 3 years coming back this year I was very dissapointed. »

Staying at the Sofitel was good comfortable clean, my only dissapointment was at breakfast staff were not around tables were very messy, I felt there was not enough staff or the staff that were initially on were just fluffing around and not paying attention to the peoples needs. We came with a group of us and we all felt the same, I think Management need to keep an eye on their staff to be more professional and pay more attention to their customers.

The staff are all very friendly, genuine & happy to help. The breakfast was the best I have seen throughout my travels. The pools were great with plenty of deck chairs & the beach was amazing. Our room was beautiful & spacious.

We were trying to pinpoint exactly what made our stay so wonderful and decided that apart from the location (unbelievably beautiful), the hotel's design (spread out the guests so effortlessly), the amenities (couldn't have wanted for anything more) and the food (such high quality) it was your staff. During the 7 nights we stayed, we did not come across a staff member who did not either smile and wish us a pleasant day, smile and willingly assist us or smile and ask us how they could personally improve our stay. Whoever is doing your staff training deserves acclaim! I've never stayed anywhere where all staff look like they love their job so much!! Well done, but most of all - thank you!

We stayed with you last year and were extremely happy with everything. This year we were very disappointed with the quality of the food at the Buffets, hence didn’t use our vouchers and ate elsewhere. Also not enough staff working for amount of guests. Very disappointed

We visited for our first wedding anniversary using a luxury escapes package. Our experience from check in, to meals, massages and check out was flawless. The staff were delightful and always helpful. The resort was clean and well set out. We enjoyed all of our meals at the hotel and were impressed at the variety of cuisine available. There is nothing we could fault at the resort.

« Just an okay five star hotel not so impressive »

First arrive at lobby self-driving but the security is not very supportive, has to circle around to loading area to look for parking space, then someone told that valet parking is available at lobby, has to go back to lobby for valet. Very disappointing for first day impression. The only nice thing is having same room for 3 nights from 3 three different booking number.
