We stayed at Sofitel from 02-04 Nov. Although our stay was short, we loved every single minute of it. The customer service and hospitality was definitely five star. The rooms were spacious and included all amenities. Best part about the hotel was the never ending pool and the amazing food served at the many restaurants. The new restaurant, pool and bar ‘Amari’ has delicious food which is perfect for a dinner out under stars by the beach. Guests also get 4hours free child care which is really useful. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Sofitel and the hotel went above and beyond to surprise her with a complimentary cake at breakfast where the staff sang happy birthday for her. They also decorated the room with rose petals and wishes. Special thanks goes out to Indah and two other ladies who have the kindest hearts. They even arranged a free photoshoot for us. Overall we had an amazing stay and we would like to thank the hotel staff for making our stay a memorable one.

I last stayed in this property in Sep 2014. Everything was new and very nice then (in the Opera Suite). Service in the executive lounge etc was excellent. I am a little disappointed with the stay this time round. No major issues but little things do add to the experience.1) There is no welcome letter in the room. Most of the Accor hotels I stayed in (right down to Ibis) usually have the letter to make the guests feel welcomed.2) The luxury room with plunge pool is nice albeit being a bit jaded.3) I was there to celebrate my 60th birthday which was made known to the hotel prior to arrival. There was a cake in the room when we checked in but staff did not make an effort to wish the guest with a birthday greeting. I am not making a fuss of this but little gestures could make a huge difference to the experience.Having all said, the staff in this property are excellent especially the staff in Kwee Zeen. Special mention must be accorded to them for the excellent service.The departure lounge is a new feature and an excellent one - allowing guests to have a rest and even a shower after checking out and waiting to catch a late flight. However, the staff in there could be trained to provide better information to guests. We enquired if there is anything interesting to explore near the hotel. The staff told us about Bali Collection (shopping mall) and a taxi ride would be 5 minutes. We found out by chance that there is a free shuttle bus to Bali Collection that actually comes round every 20 minutes. I wouldn't be happy if I would have taken a taxi there only to find out about the free shuttle bus after that.

We had a wonderful visit to Sofitel Nusa Dua. We were greeted by incredibly friendly and helpful staff who made the duration of our stay really comfortable and enjoyable. We unfortunately didn't originally accept the upgrade to the pool room and it was quickly snapped up. The great reception staff however kept our interest on file and were able to move us two days later. IT IS WELL WORTH IT! Not only is your experience enhanced by the experience (we spent every morning swimming out of our room and having coffee at the swim up bar), but the access to the lounge for breakfast and happy hour -- we even skipped dinner as the appetisers and sparkling wine was more than enough -- made it well worth it. Loved the beach club and Italian restaurant (big highlights), and overall had a wonderful stay.

It was a pleasure staying in nusa dusa. Great applause to the butler-team. Always caring, but never to offensive. Place for improvement at the restaurants. Staff nice but it seems to be without structure. Everyone seems working but you have to wait long for everything, still when there are hardly any guests arround. It seems like everyone is doing everything. Cleaning of seagrass at the beach would be nice

The overall experience for us was average, the positives I would like to point out is: - The hotel looked beautiful as we entered - staff were friendly and flexible with our needs with a baby - Massages were very good. Throughout our stay we had several problems: - staff at Kwee Zeen restaurant often forget our orders, we had to order multiple times. Service very slow, restaurant was very hot as well - leaking toilet, water all over the toilet floor - when we requested service to our room (delivery towels and water), extremely slow - our room was directly next to the kids pool, water fountain and music from the main pool was very loud - too hot without aircon, too cold with aircon. aircon vent was above my bed, which made night sleep very uncomfortable, wind blowing in on my head - baby had bug bites a few nights after sleeping in the cot - room service clean up was very slow, we would often request room to be service before breakfast, when we came back for baby's first nap, clean up is still going on. Even when we requested faster service, nothing had changed, we came back and the room was still being cleaned. - we requested late check out (paid), we were told we can decide the day before. However when we spoke to the staff member the day before, they said it was not available as there was a function on. We were not told about the function when we first requested. - DC Smailing tour was disappointing, guide appeared disinterested and some of the shopping venues were overpriced and not enjoyable to visit (painting, silver making etc)

We are Platinum members and booked in February and were never informed prior to our stay about the renovations at the resort. Waken to power tools a few doors down on the first morning, continued while we were having a swim. We then phoned Club Milliseme to enquire about the noise and was advised it was coming from the other side of the resort. Wrong. Lydia then came down and adviosed the same I had to show her where the noise was coming from. they were misinformed. We then moved it cost us half a day in packing, waiting and unpacking and then to have the rooms opposite the new room commence power tools the next day. Lydia advises that all guests received emails and I said incorrect, I asked Lydia to find out when this occurred, I have not heard. I emailed the General Manager our stay and I am still waiting on a reply. Why would you pay for such to be dished out with power tools. We were not intending to leave the resort at all in the days, but the noise resulted us leaving on three days to escape it. We cancelled and included lunch and tour that we paid for. The only positives was the food in Cucina and the staff being polite generally. Training is required for Cucina staff. The wine and spirits and Club Millisime are second class and not of a Sofitel standard but the staff and food was excellent.I am still waiting on a reply to my email and expect compensation as I am not paying full price to be dished up with power tools and hammers.

We’ve been on many holidays, but this exceeded our expectation, the staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful at all times, the food was excellent in all the restaurants, Sofitel has really outdone itself, we absolutely loved the place, we were able to just lay by the pool and relax or do aquatic aerobics , whatever we liked...our Room was beautiful as always everyday, we are hoping we can get another luxury escape deal ASAP to come back, but for longer next time , loved it..

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and well kept. Room service gave us the best service and responded within promised timeframes. We were treated like royalty. At the beach the service was also good and we had clean towels and the toilets were always clean. The quality of our breakfast was good and fruits fresh. Overall our stay was pleasant and enjoyable.

We stayed as a couple from mid October. We found the room to be quite spacious and beautifully presented. The resort staff were friendly and quite charming. The location of the resort was excellent. Our stay was booked through Luxury Escapes and from that perspective everything was excellent. The one big downside was the food. The resort has three restaurants (including the beach barbeque), but when we arrived we found that there was a very limited menu offered to Luxury Escapes bookings. We were provided three vouchers for each of two restaurants and two vouchers for the "top" restaurant for our eight night stay. The three beach barbeque meals were all exactly the same - there was no option to select something else. For three nights in eight, this was a bit much, although the food was good. At the "top" restaurant, Cucina, there was a separate menu provided to Luxury Escapes guests, with very few options available. By way of comparison, earlier this year we stayed at another resort close by, also booked through Luxury Escapes, where the food and drinks packages were far superior. I would not return to this resort on a similar package - prefer to look elsewhere.
