Amazing Short escape from hustle bustle of jakarta only 1 hour driving depend on traffic. The resort so beautiful. The room spacious with balcony similar to sofitel nusa dua bali. The pool so amazing i felt like I'm in bali... there's are a lot photo spot for your Instagram feeds. Staffs was friendly. Breakfast was tasty. Everything so great... 1 night isnt enough to explore the property. can't wait to come back... only 1 minor input i didnt find room service menu in my room...

Room was okay, if only it's not too far from Damar restaurant, kids pool and kids club. Staffs are nice and polite. Send my best regards to one of your female staff at kids playground (too bad i didnt ask for her name, but she's wearing square shaped glasses), she was very informative and attentive. Breakfast was okay, dinner buffet could be better. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

I love how they provide service to the guest, the staffs are friendly and helpful, however the aisle of tthe hotel is long and quite, and less of directory sign. The breakfast was also great, many food variations and good taste. But overall, i love the hotel And definetely will come back..

Beautiful place and staff were friendly. Close to nature and relaxing. But services were a bit slow and the room had a bit of problem (phone didn't work well, part of shower holder was loose and almost fall off, security box can't be locked). It was a busy period - I think the resort was almost full, and staff seem to be overwhelmed to handle requests, so was a bit slow and may need to remind them few times. Few miscommunication e.g. Asked for 3 black teas and milk, staff arrived (after lengthy delay) with assorted teas & only 1 black tea and sugars...Turned out they only have creamers but didn't explain on the phone or in person. It's newly opened, so will give them another try when we visit Ciawi next.

Short: Fantastic property. Friendly and helpful staff. Best place for kids. No F&B to match! Long: Fantastic property with friendly, helpful, yet not intruding staff. The issue was really solely with F&B, especially a nightmare room service experience. Let's start with the good. Had an early arrival for our 4 days family holiday away from Bali, where we live and work. Understandably rooms were not ready at 11:30am. We underwent a fairly smooth check-in at the reception. The only issues here were with my payment card (BNP Paribas Visa Premier from France) not working with 2 payment machines (a recurring issue with untethered BCA merchant machine throughout Indonesia) and a misunderstanding about included breakfast (2 rooms for 4 with included breakfast, but told only breakfast for one was included). Issue was solved by using an Indonesian card and being explained that breakfast was free for the kids. The said card worked with a tethered BCA machine at a different hotel's check-in desk the next day (Aston Bogor) . We then proceeded to the swimming pool area. We were pleasantly surprised both by the quality of the amenities and the friendliness of the staff. We quickly realised how kids friendly this venue was... This was a huge motivation for choosing to stay here! We then had lunch at the Damar restaurant. The friendly staff announced there was a possibility of a buffet and offered a 4 eat, 2 pay discount. In spite of the fantastic buffet and the generous offer, we still went for the a la carte option. Ordered drinks first, then ordered a mix of pizza, dim sum and 2 Caesar salads with different extras accompanied by a side of chips. Soon after the food order, I reviewed the drinks menu. I stumbled across wine I used to drink often (Philippe de Rotschild Reserve Mouton Cadet) offered at a reasonable price for Indonesia (900k). My mind was made, the wife and I would have red wine for lunch. Looked and tried to get a waiter's attention for roughly 10 minutes with no luck. Went to the resto's front desk as I was keen on getting the wine with the food. The floor manager came in promptly and apologetically. I tried to place the order. With more apologies, I was explained that no alcohol could be served on the premises due to a lack of licenses. Now, we are fully aware of the difficulty (read quasi impossibility) of obtaining alcohol licenses in parts of Indonesia. Nothing out of this world here and I said this was no issue to the floor manager. What is however hard to grasp is the decision to showcase a glorious wine list and an exhaustive cocktail menu in such a context. Dim Sum arrived. Some of the best I ever ate! One Caesar salad followed (extra chicken) and was to my wife's liking. Third came the second Caesar salad (extra shrimp) and I thoroughly enjoyed my main while ignoring the kids' complains. Their pizza came in as I finished my main. Finally, they could eat. No sign of the side order by the time they were done with the pizza. We reminded the waiters and the last dish came quickly thereafter as we got a call from reception saying the rooms were ready. I went to the resto's desk. Tried to pay with my French card with a different BCA untethered merchant machine. No luck again and I settled cash. Back to the reception, we were happy to get the keys by 2pm, ahead of schedule. We made our way to the rooms (8603 & 8605) accompanied by the valet. We settled in, but quickly realised that rooms 8603 & 8602 had an adjoining door. Wouldn't it be great to have such an agencement with our 4 and 6 years old? We asked reception, were told the unoccupied room was unavailable, but that we could always check back tomorrow. Didn't think much of it and spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the kids playgrounds, trying out the kids club and sorting out the activities for the coming days. All went well! Around 6pm, with famished younglings, we decided toorder room service. The idea was 2 dishes of plain pasta (one spaghetti, one penne) with parmiggiano and butter on the side along with 2 mad cow flame grilled burgers accompanied by 2 still Equils and 2 sparkling ones. Seems easy! My wife was to order while I sorted transport for the next days. No luck with the phone: buttons on the base were unresponsive. Took the handset, dialed 0, got the operator, passed the phone back to my wife. No penne, all else OK. Then at the end of the call, yes penne: original idea ordered. 40 minutes later, with kids ever hungrier, comes a series of phone calls. Most unintelligible, silence on the line after asking questions in English. Finally talk to someone who speaks clearly. We explain we experience issues with the phone. They say the burgers are unavailable. Quick second choice: club sandwich and jalapeño burger. Not available, OK choose whatever: laksa and Caesar salad. We also ask for 2 extra still water bottles... I do insist that the kids need their food promptly and that all this is unacceptable. Phone technician comes in. Checks the phone. Tells us the buttons on the base are not supposed to work: "use the handset instead". OK. Diagnosis: phone works. I do say that this is then a staff issue... 8pm. Food comes in. Fetticini instead of spaghetti. No still water. All else is in order. Let's eat... And convince the now tired kids to eat! Phone rings: no stock of Equil still water. Offered some other brand. I say any brand will do. Just let me eat now. 8:30pm. Kids are in bed. I decide to not go through such an ordeal again when a captive audience with no alternative options for food. Wife agrees. I book another hotel in town I go to reception. Explain we'll check out next morning and want second and third nights reimbursed. Escalated to night manager: Lukky. Fantastic listening and understanding of the issues. Agreed to my request and apologised. Back to bed. Phone call from Lukky suggesting to sort payment straight away for a smooth checkout next day. He offered to come to the room with the merchant machine. Agreed, done dusted a few minutes later! Next morning, we spent 20 minutes in the tree house playground with kids before heading to Damar for a great breakfast. Checked out at 8:30am as convened with Lukky.

We came to Salak Cafe to enjoy our welcome drink. We took the seat inside in the far corner. I saw the carpet was very dirty full of biscuit and cake crumbs. Also the couch are dirty with food crumb. I took pictures of all of that. Need to improve in cleaning Salak Cafe.
