I was satisfied with my stay, however, I was not satisfied with the fact that the prepay authorization was not accepted when I arrived at the hotel. The hotel staff informed me that they did accept prepay authorizations at this location. Since my travel was for business, this complicated things for me and left me less than satisfied with the service of the Ibis Alameda Hotel. If the hotel does not accept prepay authorization, then it should state that on your website and not leave travelers to find out when you arrive at the hotel. This is unacceptable, in my opinion.

During the both days of my staying in Ibis Alameda one elevator was not working. There are 9 floors and the hotel was full because of the weekend. I spent so much time to go down and up. Can you imagine a lot of people full of luggages sharing the same elevator for 9 floors? I know that mechanic issues can happen but it can be fixed in few hours. It's not acceptable for a weekend in a Ibis hotel located in one of the biggest cities of the world. As mentioned on the "Contracto de Satisfaccion 15 minutos"card and you didn't fix the issue in 15 minutes, I'm not happy with the service in that hotel and I would like to have my money back. I talked with Monica Nauva and she didn't accepted my complain about the hotel.

Regarding the issue of the elevator I commented that unfortunately it was a considerable problem which even when the maintenance services went to repair it took a long time, mainly due to reconfiguration, since unfortunately the elevator did not yield even with all the modifications. On the other hand, the 15 minute contract applies directly to everything that is in our hands to resolve, strength problems like this unfortunately do not apply. We stayed at the triple room. The room was Ok, but there were no extra sheets, only de duvets and blankets. We missed the sheets. Also there was no face towel in the bathroom, only the bath towels. In the aisles that leed to the elevator, the smel was bad. My mother had to wear a surgical mask every time we left the room. The good points were the location, very close to the metro station and the sistem that alows only guests to enter the elevator, incrising the security.

I had stayed in this hotel about 2-3 years ago and every thing was practically new. However the hotel & rooms are now in bad condition. The hotel walls are full stains and cracks. My room for example was missing a window curtain, sink did not drain (so it was full to the top), security lock was broken, crumbling seals/adhesive cork (with wall particles on the floor and room was dirty. I stayed in the Ibis Styles (Zona Rosa) a week before and it was in much better condition.

The personnel is nice however parki. Is not complimentary for guest. The rooms are relatively small compared to other nearby hotels like Marlowe. Experience was ok but nothing that I would say stands out . I think small little details can go a long way .

The hotel itself is Just ok... Nothing too fancy. No fridge, no breakfast included, but it's close to Reforma, and Alameda at walking distance. Personal was excelent in our stay. Everybody was willing to help.

« Gone down hill, except for the service, which is always gracious. »

I have stayed in this hotel many times, but this time was different. The price was much higher, and the quality has gone down. You use a picture of a woman with a comfy pillow in your promotions, but the pillows were so small I had to put two in one case to have the equivalent of one good pillow. You used to have good pillows! The breakfast was cold and mediocre. You really need a better way to keep the food hot, your steam trays don't do the job when the food is there for a long time. This in not only unpleasant, but it is a good source of food poisoning. The hallway on my floor, the 8th floor, stank like a dead body. Really, it was horrible, and the carpets in the hall are deeply stained and shabby. I would think that with the decline of the hotel, the prices would go down, but, no, I paid much more this time. The Ibis ALameda used to be my go to hotel in Mexico City, now I am looking for a new place to stay on my next visit. I live in Oaxaca, so I stay in DF often, and I share information with my friends here. This is how a place gets a bad reputation.

There were several things that were not good: - The cold/warm water switch was labeled wrong (red was cold and blue was warm) - The hairdryer worked for max 30 seconds before it stopped working for 2 minutes - The wall looked like a construction side - There was no Hairdryer in the room of my friend that traveled with me - The television didn't work - There was no sign to tell the housekeeping that I doesn't want to get disturbed
