Experience was good and enjoyed having to be able to leave my vehicle there and get the shuttle bus, but i was misquoted with the price when i booked the accommodation and when i repeated what i was told on checking in, it was like one staff member blaming another.

The stay was really nice although it was for just one night. Hotel and room presented well and the dinner meals at the restaurant were delicious. The only down side was having to walk from the airport as we were not made aware of a courtesy bus and we had to stand at the reception desk for a good 4 or so minutes before someone appeared from the back room? A bell on the desk would have helped

Room was nice, although I didn't like the pillows - but acknowledge that's a personal experience. Biggest issue I had was that the room wouldn't cool below 22c (it felt hotter) . I set the Air Con onto "COOL" and 19c and even set the fan to HIGH. It never cooled down at all, all night. In the morning I was sweating after changing into my suit, which was a bit embarrassing when I got to the conference room down stairs. It appears the hotel was only set to heat?

We appreciated having an room facing the airfield on the third floor. We also appreciated the price. I also appreciated that the battery in the rowing machine had been replaced since my last visit a week earlier.

Was informed breakfast available for an extra uplift. No problem as the hotel is isolated not many alternatives. Went to breakfast at 6:30 on Sunday morning. Staff were in attendance. I was told sorry breakfast only opens at 7am as those are the rules. Place was empty. Staff not empowered enough or able to think for themselves to suggest “sorry we don’t officially open till 7am on a Sunday due to the onerous union conditions for overtime and Sunday penalty rates but if your ok to serve yourself some cereal and milk we can clean up your mess from 7am”. It’s a 3 star hotel till you get done leadership and initiative training in there. With defence establishment types who travel extensively globally you could even offer nostalgic MRE packs as an alternative to the McDonalds down the road who understand the “global economy”.
