The lady who helped us to check in is not very helpful, she only gives you info when you ask her for it, i.e. wifi/breakfast/parking, and she is not very passionate in helping out the guest either, more like she just want to get the job done and send you away as quick as possible. Room is generally clean yet you can see layer of dust on the bed where probably the room been long vacated. There's no Leclub member check in or out queue so you dont feel any special welcome as a member. The restaurant staff is much more friendly and welcome you to the hotel (yet is very quite and hard to find the restaurant - hidden in the corner). Check out was a long queue with like 15 mins wait, staff work very slow and they dont care if people jump in queue. Overall, only stay there if you want a room to sleep and not concern anything about feeling welcome or for leisure.

My stay was overall a positive experience. It appeared on arrival my booking could not be found so was forced to fill out a new form. My room was nice and clean although was set up as two single beds instead of a double. Staff were always friendly and helpful and breakfast was simple but enjoyable.

Stayed here for business one night. Everything went perfectly, from reception (friendly and professional) to the room which was roomy, comfortable and clean. Beds are wonderful. Breakfast good and bathroom roomy and modern. Only downside I could think of is - rain shower has not a lot of power - I asked for a quiet room but was placed close to the elevator

I like the rooms at the Mercure, and have stayed several times. The only slight disappointment is that the breakfast room is a bit dark, and the coffee is not good.

« Very good and comfortable stay, close to the old town and train station »

The room was spacious and clean, coffee amenities available and the beds were comfortable. The employees at the reception as well as all other staff was nice, friendly and welcomed us at all times. Even the General Manager was walking around and reviewed the site and talked to the guest, so here the team takes care of the guests. The parking was good and affordable.

« My room was very comfortable once I was placed in the correct room »

My preference is to stay at an hotel when I am away from home. The customer service was good. My only issue was that I was placed in a double twin room instead of a Double standard room that I requested. The double twin was very uncomfortable for me and also was not an option when I was making my reservation. I have not slept in a twin bed since I was young. My room was changed the next day. So the rest of my stay was very comfortable. The hotel had a restaurant but the breakfast wasn’t included in the price as I am use to. Online, breakfast price was indicated separately for $18.01 per day as an additional option. But when u go down to the restaurant and pay cash, breakfast was $15.50. Your stay at a hotel is a home away from home. Breakfast should not be a separate charge that u have to worry about. Suggestion, At least include breakfast for members.

« Functional, but comfortable stay »

This was a business strip and the hotel provided everything needed. The rooms were comfortable, and the restaurant was good. The experience was a little bit impersonal, I didn't really interact with any of the staff apart from on checking in and out and at breakfast. Although the experience was good it could have been "warmer".

We had a great stay again. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Rooms clean, modern and cosy. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is great. Parking Fee acceptable. Whenever we come back we feel like coming home. This due to our wedding in October 2014 which took place in your hotel and this years 4th anniversary was as well the reason for this actual stay. Everything perfect apart two emotional things. We are so sad to hear Denis has left the hotel after a long time and we did not have chance to say goodbye. We will miss her there. And This time we did not have a love letter to welcome us which we usually find heartwarming and personal. But we understand it‘s not usual. We are already looking forward for Dec. 29th when we’ll get back to you. Oh .... at check-in the lady at the front desk had our actual booking in the system but no former guest account, booking, stays or internal info connected to it. Maybe you’d like to check for this as it might happen with other good customers as well. When we mentioned we’ve been there many times she checked again and found another profile with all bookings in it. Let me know in case i can prevent this to happen again in future through changing the booking method. Thank you! Maurice Koster knows who to talk to i guess.

We stayed in a Privilege Deluxe King Room. The bed was very comfortable and large. The room was very spacious and the large windows gave a nice extra touch. The hotel is close to the Eemplein and city center, so we could leave our car in the parking the entire weekend.
