Children's breakfast not included

Customer review rating 4.3/5

Selina Families - 12/08/2019 AccorHotels review

I was very disappointed to find out that the children's breakfast was not included in the bed and breakfast price I paid. I ended up having to pay an extra 16 Euro's at the hotel. Had I known this, I would not have chosen the bed and breakfast option and would have selected room only. This was really disappointing and not made clear at the point of booking. I have emailed requesting a refund and will await to see what the response is. I was told by the hotel staff that this often happens.

First T. I. P. Couples - 09/08/2019 AccorHotels review

Check in simple and staff member very pleasant and helpful Room was modern and clean but lacking in some facilities being a apartment it had adequate pots pans and plates but lacking in not having any table to eat meals, also no wine glasses in France? We had our room serviced once during our stay, there was a bag of laundry on the floor in the bathroom before room service that was not there after servicing we did bring this up with management but he insisted that the cleaner had not seen it. The laundry was never found so think it ended up in the rubbish. Disappointing response from the manager, no offer of any compensation or apology just said cleaner saw nothing

Conveniently located.

2 metro lines nearby can get you to major tourist spots. Bus 86 meanders through the city and you all the way to Eiffel Tower. Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from. The room is functional with a small kitchen.

awesome from start to finish

Lively staff, clean, unpretentious, bright, well kept.

Manager works hard and is good guy, but no chain property should have elevator out for 2+ weeks

Steve W. Couples - 10/07/2019 AccorHotels review

Tantely Rakotoarivony is a good guy who emailed me back and forth a dozen times prior to our visit. We basically needed two beds in a large apartment, but with bath bench and knowledge that one would be a wheelchair user not using accessible unit. Tantely did great for this before and during the stay. I think he may be fighting an uphill battle due to a poor staff under him and maybe not enough budget to make needed repairs. Let's start with the positives. The room, on 7th floor, was one of the most quiet we've ever stayed in. The price point for a nearly 400 SF room was incredible for Paris. The fridge, stove, coffee maker, cups, plates, flatware, etc is all very convenient. The wet room style shower is wonderful for my wife, a wheelchair user. The bath bench already being in the bathroom was helpful. Again, Mr. Rakotoarivony seems to work every day of the week and long hours during those. He check on us many times and was warm, friendly and sincere. The problem, and I blame the Adagio line within Accor for this, was a lack of repairs. The entire time of our stay, one of the two elevators was out of service -- a big sign taped to it said so, though the sign was only on the ground floor so one day we got in the wrong elevator and almost didn't make it to the ground floor. For a wheelchair user, staying on the top floor, two elevators is a must. I had stayed at this property in 2018 and the reason I booked it was I knew there always would be a backup lift. But since one was always broken -- that was not the case. Also, in the peak of a Paris heatwave with temperatures near 100 degrees, the only working elevator went out -- right while we were on it. I had to force the door open with all of my might to get my wife out safely at the lobby. We had planned to come back midday to shower and nap in the air conditioning to get out of the sweltering sun. We could not do so because the repairs dragged on till the late afternoon. We kept in contact via email with Mr. Rakotoarivony....but it was impossible to enjoy the day. Imagine, about 2/3 of the way into a two week trip -- with all your clothing, food in kitchen, shopping bags etc all spread out in comfort -- worrying all day that you might get moved to another hotel because if the repairs failed, you would be 7 floors up with zero elevator in service. The next big problem with with the staff. The day before our departure, we left a handwritten note asking for a wake up call at 4:30 a.m. The staff person said yes, that would be no trouble. We understand the Adagio is not meant to be a 5-star, full service hotel. We like that concept. But if a wakeup call is not available, by all means tell us to our face right then so we can make alternate plans. No wakeup call was made and the consequences were (because we had to get to CDG early to work with the wheelchair access) we had to skip breakfast, skip showering and we accidentally left 6 articles of unpacked clothes -- we realized this only after getting on plane home to Miami. That is not acceptable. During our stay, were returned to find the cheap, stained curtain had fallen in the main bedroom. With bright daylight in June starting just after 5 a.m. and lasting almost till 11 p.m., we needed to block the sun. The manager himself had to come up and fix this. Because we customize my wife's bed, with several extra pillows, blankets and equipment we bring from home -- to accommodate her disability and constant pain -- we like the idea of no daily housekeeping intrusions. Though we were due one cleaning midway into our trip, we explicitly told the front desk several times that we wanted no maid service. Despite this, on Sunday when we were sleeping in before brunch, a housekeeper woke us up knocking on our door. Another issue -- and we've staying in hotels more than 1,000 cumulative nights and NEVER experience this before -- is the door would not close several times. I had to kick a plate on it, hurting my foot. One day, nothing worked and the front desk sent up two non uniformed handymen. They had a knowing look, like they knew this is a perpetual problem ignored in the capital repairs. They basically, with steel toed boots, kicked the same plate a bunch, till the door to our room would shut. We found the staff, not the manager, to be rude upon our arrival. Because I knew I would be sleeping on a sofa bed -- to accommodate my wife's disability needs on the large bed in the bedroom -- I emailed many weeks in advance to have the sofa bed made up as a bed for our arrival. I knew that the sheets on it might have not been changed for years, as it would rarely be used as a bed. When we arrived, of course exhausted from the transcontinental flight, we found the sofa bed as -- a sofa. I asked for the bed to be made with clean, not stale sheets, but the desk person that came to the room refused. So I am divided. I like the manager as a person and professional. I love the lobby, redone from my previous stay, complete with the kitchen, scooter, etc items for free borrowing plus bottled water, sodas, snacks and more for sale at reasonable prices. But nothing worthy of the Accor brand can go 2 weeks with one of the two elevators broken down....and the large part of one day with none working. The dropped ball on wakeup call and no housekeeping requested was unworthy of the Accor parent brand. And the failing to freshen sheets on the sofa bed -- despite request a month in advance -- and the faulty curtains and door that would not close...there is much room for improvement. I honestly want half of what I paid refunded. I booked, for my 30th wedding anniversary with my wife who uses a wheelchair for mobility while managing pain, based on a pair of modern, fully-functioning elevators. I only got half of what I booked for and that, plus the other issues, merits a 50 percent refund.

The location is excellent, nearby 2 metro lines, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Grocery shopping just in a short walking distance . Staff is friendly and helpful. Family room is good for 4pax and clean Was informed there will be no house keeping for less than 7 days. We are OK with that, just need to bring the trash to the basement . The only complain was the water flow very slowly at the shower area. Overall it was a good stay

Benjamin Couples - 09/06/2019 AccorHotels review

We had great service. We were surprised, that the breakfast was not only croissants, but that there were 2 kinds. And that there was toast bread, some cold meats, 2 kinds of juices, eggs, fruit, corn flakes and a vending machine with coffee of various kinds and cocoa. The staff were helpful in every way. When the key card for our room didn't work, we just went to the reception and they made them work. We even had possibility to get an extra key card for the room. We think the room was gorgeous. Cozy with good kitchenette, large fridge and a small safe, which we like, which is when you travel with cash. In addition, there are several Metro stations right next door, almost. And you can get directly to many attractions with Metro Line 1 – The Louvre, the Concorde Square, the Notre Dame area, the Champs-Élysées, the old triumphal arch. And otherwise we should only make one Metro change to get to the other areas, like the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre. So, we would recommend the place. Both in terms of service level, décor and comfort in the room and with the good Metro connections. As well as many shopping options next to. And many good and nice cafes.

Would have been an excellent experience

Mohamed E. F. Business - 08/06/2019 AccorHotels review

Every thing was good. The staff were very nice. The facilities, location, etc are all plus points for the hotel. Two issues however. 1- Technical checks on facilities before guest check in would be good. Couldn’t sleep first night because the AC seemed to be working while it really wasn’t working. Next morning when I explained to the staff they solved the issue which apparently has to do with programming. Would be good if technical checks happen before guest arrivals. The AC issue happened once more and solved again through a call to the reception. 2-Second incident has to do with the safe in the room. I kept an envelope with cash inside which I got from a bank and counted twice. Took the envelope out on my last day. While making a payment at a paris shop was surprised to find a note of another currency “10 Singapore dollars” in replacement of 50 Euro’s!! I am pretty sure this did not happen at the bank, nor have I have ever dealt with Singapore dollars. But would seem like a smart way to show that the money in the safe is there and intact. I do not blame anyone, as I do not know if anyone accessed my room while I was away. Again if it was not for the second incident in particular I would have rated the experience as excellent. Because the magnitude of my loss is also not substantial “ could have been worse in paris” I am also not totally dismayed. Would I stay there again.....yes.....I would even recommend it in my business community in Egypt “ Textile trade”.

Don't book here. They will die on their own. On arrival a non french receptionist behaved as if we came begging at his door. Despite of 3 bells doors not opened by him. On arrival bad way of telling us "wait wait" with his palm facing my face & him looking in computer. horrible welcome ever. It was raining after looking at another lady guest taking umbrella kept at reception on her own, we also thought & still asked him he made faces and said don't loose it outside. I would slap him if I was in my country and not a visitor. On checkin after 30 min we noticed mirror of bathroom was almost about to fall off. Out of 2 lower support 1 was present and already bent. We rushed and informed. Handicapped by Sunday receptionist could not do anything immediately but to wait for technician on weekday. He visited room & left he said he would call but no ring. Then we went down and asked he says our room phone was ringing & not answered. The as we were in front of him, he said he can give a room change. Later he did change. We shifted unpacked bags. New room new problems. Window was open with AC ON. And it was tough to close. it would open again on its own. We called again a guy. He visited room & shut it & told not to pull the window. Haha. We spent 3 nights here. We felt unattended. Corridor light are sensor based & not sense properly so lights are ON when u reach below the light. Room cleaning not for free till 7 nights if stay less than 7 night then you clean or pay extra. They not even change towels. Cleaning for stay less than 7 nights for a price of Mercure brand room. This is written in elevator only & not in reglement interieur behind the door of room and it can actually be taken to consumer courts. I am willing to ask for refund of my stay.
