Excellent service and great food at the restaurant. Second time I stay here. I come to Sao Paulo for business. The hotel is super clean, restaurant is nice with great food, and the service is excellent. I totally recommend tgis place if you need to stay in the area.

My stay in the Grand Mercure was a very pleasant one, the facilities were pleasant (although the addition of a pool would be awesome) the gym isn't the largest but the equipment is good quality and very clean and the bed in my room was simply enormous. However what stood out for me was the quality of the staff, from the cheerful Barbara greeting everyone at Breakfast, the amazing omelet artist in the kitchen who seemed so delighted whenever I asked for one, to the front desk staff who were fantastic any time I needed anything, and even the gentleman who came in each day to clean my room was always happy and seemed so positive whenever I saw him. The laundry service was quick, and the communication proactive. The only frustration I had with the hotel is that the door locks are still the old magnetic stripe readers and not the newer chip readers, which meant every couple of days I had to get my card reset, but every time I had to go to the front desk the team there was so quick to fix the issue. While the hotel is located in a great area, with shopping and nightlife nearby, the room was quiet and I never had disturbance from any noise, in addition the curtains were thick and kept out the light to ensure a great sleep. In summary, the facilities are nice, location great, and the staff amazing!

It was good overall, but needed some minor improvements: - only one of two people at reception, not enough to take care of all the people there - there was no buffet on Saturday May04, which was very dissapointing. The a la carte service was incredibly slow and limited

Rooms need to be renewed, specially lights.

The service level and staff was very good. Rooms clearly need to be renewed, mainly in terms of lights, as there's only very few lights available...and none for reading in bed for example. Above all what is really annoying is that the only option to switch off the lights is to go to the main entrance, as this option is not available close to bed.

The hotel is a standard hotel, with nothing really unique or special. So if you just need a bed and a place to sleep, it’s perfectly fine, the staff are friendly, and it has all the basic amenities.
