« Just a great location! »

I stayed at the Grand Mercure as part as a week-long school research trip from November 18 to November 24. I was quite pleased with the general location since it was walking distance from great restaurants, corporate offices, shopping, etc. The amenities in the room were of excellent quality. No issues at all with the room. The staff was quite pleasant and offered umbrellas when it was raining, helped with translation when necessary. The restaurant on the premise was excellent and never had any trouble for breakfast. The hotel also has a nice sports facility to use while staying. Nice bonus to get some exercise.

This is the second time I choose the hotel and overall it includes everything we need as a business traveler, the breakfast was good and had a lot of options, the employees were always available to help us and the room was clean and organized. The only thing that I didn't like was that we could hear everything from the room next door.

« Average experience. Good location and friendly staff, but worst bed ever in 4 star hotel, and unavailability of rooms during check-in despite prior notice »

My experience was average. The location and neighbourhood of hotel is good. There is a mall nearby and lots of nice eateries and pubs around. Staff is generally good, but we didn't get the room at the time of the check-in after a long tiring flight, despite the hotel having prior information about group arrival. Also, management was not considerate or sensitive about the inconvenience that was caused to our group. They offered no apologies or any gesture to compensate for it. Further, the bed in my room was terrible. It was weird spring bed that was very uncomfortable. The elevators had frequent issues with card scanners. Almost everyday, I had to get my room keys replaced due to scanner issues. I don't think I would like to stay at this hotel again, or recommend it to anyone.

« Good place to stay if you are not too picky »

I arrived at 8am and unfortunately the hotel cannot charge half the rate or an early check in fee to accommodate this type of situation. However, they walk me to the next hotel and provided a private restroom with shower, etc in great condition. The carpet on the 3rd floor (where my room was) needs urgent replacement, it's heavily stained and smells. One day I arranged a wake up call to catch a domestic flight and they forgot to call me, lucky I put my own alarm just in case. Breakfast service was pretty good. Location is very convenient and personnel very friendly.

1. The room card unconfigured frequently. at leas one time each 2 days. 2. The electrical system of the room had problems. Everytime I enter the room I had to open the electrical box and move the plugs up. (reported on the front desk) 3. The room did not have the "do not disturb" cards. 4. on my last night I order a salmon (well done). The salmon arrieved after 60 minutes and it was raw.

I always like staying in this hotel. I had not been since the change from Ceasar Business to Grand Mercure. The only thing I would like is to improve the WiFi in the PUllman hotel gym and a widder selection in the room service menú.
