« Nice appartment in top of the building »

The appartment was ok but only two hanger in the room. I was surprised to see that in spite of my reservation for 3 adults it was ready for only 2. I had to complain to the front desk to get extra towels and sofa prepared for night. Welcome by front desk was excellent.

Great Cistomer Service from the front desk all employees are great. Especially agent Wellington always great and deliver excellent service. He aims to please. He Listen, welcome and greet each guest Wellington is an great asset to the business. However I always have trouble with keys. Overall very good.... maybe the swimming pool could be cleaned up a bit more often... and better quality coffee at breakfast (what happened to the Nespresso machines?) but staff very friendly and helpful

« Nice hotel and polite employees »

Actually, I am still here and will be for the rest of March and longer. Only thing is I return every day and my balcony door is open. I am sure it is customary but I prefer it closed. Also, I do not get a laundry bag or slip to get my clothes cleaned and would really like this to start happening. The breakfast is the same every morning no change in items, bacon is not offered which seemed a little strange. Sorry if it sounds like I am complaining but just giving feedback.

« I like the room and the floor plan, also the fact that it was almost at the highest point. »

My first room (1004) was spacey however bathroom was really making me claustrophobic. Toilet was too close to the vanity which made me feel pretty uncomfortable. Room was cleaned every day by very nice lady always smiling at me. Unfortunately I could not tell her how nice she was since she did not speak English which is my 2nd complaint about this place. Staff at the reception was always smiley and helpful anytime I needed something. Overall experience was very good except the fact that 80% of the staff don't speak English and it was really troubling me when I went to the restaurant downstairs.

I am a professor at a major American music conservatory. My partner and I were accompanying 10 students none of which spoke Portuguese. Your staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was always delightful and the rooms are big and spacious and the location was perfect for our needs. I will stay there again for sure and tell everybody about my wonderful experience. I had no issue with the service. The reason I gave a lower rating was when I checked into my room, 1101 I open the shower door to put some toiletries in and the door completely shattered and I had glass all over me. Fortunately I only have some small cuts.

A lovely 6 days at the Mercure Botafago in Rio. Very comfortable, all staff very friendly and helpful whenever we needed advice. A convenient location a brief walk from metro, making it very easy and quick to visit many parts of Rio. A view of the lit up Christ the Redeemer from the bedroom window. Great variety for breakfast. Only minor point, airconditioning blasted cold air at one bed, I suspect we just didn't turn it down enough. Otherwise excellent hotel and location, can highly recommend
