I was initially given a less than satisfactory room where the bath room doors aren’t able to open properly as well as damp wall. Provided the feedback and I was being provided with a few options for replacement room. Despite the hotel being full, the front desk ( lady manager) was very patient and tried to help me get my room. There was a few choices and she took the initiative to show us to the various room and allow us to decide. I thought this was good gesture as well as great follow-up service. Left a good impression the moment I check in.

Zhang Bin is the best loung waiter i've ever met. It's a great deal that he can work for this hotel after Swissotel. The breakfast is not rich enough and the front dest for Accor club member is not well trained enough.

This is my ‘base hotel’ every time I go back to Beijing thanks to its excellent location and caring staff. The situation, however, took a downturn about 2 years ago. Quality of hotel stay dropped and the most intolerable part is how breakfast is served and the quality of food (It was nothing like an international hotel). So I gave up the breakfast and for the past few times in Beijing I didn’t choose this hotel. This time however, a lot has changed. There was a door man at the door waiting and serving at the door. Breakfast quality is way better with a variety of Western and Chinese food. Club lounge is back too! Super happy. Hotel still shows sign of aging due to heavy traffic but hey, good to see it lives up to its 4 stars standard again. Great and friendly chat with Billy and Ms. Feng Wenjie at the Club Floor - loving this experience!

Room is clean and bed comfortable as always. Service at the lobby bar is lacking as ... always. People need more training. Breakfast is now moved to the first floor and food is as always good. Check in and check out were fast. Only bad experience was I had a mosquito in my room and mosquitoes are in the lobby bar too.

Good room, breakfast is better now that it is served in the 1st floor lobby area. Team in Executive lounge (ex-Swissotel!) are great but the choices of food are still limited and no chance to have breakfast in the lounge

As always, the premier lounge service was excellent and the staff very helpful. As a business traveller, wi fi connectivity remains a critical issue and impacts on the ability to manage appropriately. The room was of a good size, clean but a little run down. The wardrobe doors were jammed and the room smelt a little musty. Breakfast was excellent.

I am not sure how many times I have stayed at this hotel now (I'm a frequent visitor to Beijing and moved to this hotel when the Swissotel closed for refurbishment) but what I am sure about is that every stay has been a real pleasure. The location is excellent for tourists, being close to many of the sights of Beijing and the dozens of bars and restaurants in the nearby Hutongs. Is is also great for business people who need to get about the city, due to the close proximity to the metro station. The fabric of the building is in excellent condition and the rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean . Absolutely first class. Away from the "hard" attributes of the hotel is the thing that, for me, really makes the place such a pleasure to stay in; the people. The GM Aifen is always welcoming and she has put together a great team of staff. Annie and Billy in the executive lounge could not be more friendly and helpful and in the front office you have the likes of George, Grace and Stephen, who really put themselves out to make sure the guests are happy and well looked after. For these guys it seems nothing is too much trouble. If doesn't matter if your request is as simple as needing a taxi or if you need more serious help with some bigger problem, they are always there ready, willing and very able to help. Thanks to everyone for their warm welcome and I look forward to seeing everyone again in a few weeks time.

The overall service is very good. Most requests are fulfiled without any problem. However there are two problems. Firstly, i booked a room with two seperate beds, as i was going with a friend. The design of the bathroom is not userfriendly. Even when the shield down, I can still see the person showering. And the towels are placed on the opposite side from the shower cubicle. After showering, I reached for the towels and the whole bathroom was wet. Secondly, the occupants of the room opposite always leave their door open, even when they are showering. They are very noisy, watching TV and chatting loudly.

1. i was standing in front of FD waiting for checking out like 5 minutes. the staff was on a phone call "patiently" and the conversation seems to be lasted longer by her. the other staff is standing typing until another guest who just came to FD asked to store his luggage cause no concierge staff. excuse me????? your staff is “Full time”on the call and FD doing luggage storage???? do they do check out????? or if i don't speak out, they won't work????? 2. i asked plate and knife then hotel requested deposit. i was fine with that and asked F&B staff how would i take back my deposit. she told me to give the deposit receipt to front desk when checking out. i did it (when i loudly asked FD staff to do check out for me). then FD staff took the receipt and said she did not know what was it. i told her. then she said"oh you need to get from F&B restaurant". excuse me again????????? i waited for you like 10 minutes and told you my car was waiting me outside already. are you really a five star international brand hotel???????

Room is dirty. Bathroom has no door. Some down lights are not working. Electric power was cut off at one time, probably due to short circuit. One of the wardrobe sliding doors is very tight. A spoilt safe is still left in the wardrobe. In short, conditions of the room is very disappointing.
