Staying in Baraquda is such a pleasant experience specially because of the warmth exhibited for the guests. The food is outstanding and the rooms are so clean and comfortable -- the only downside is you wont feel like leaving the place!!

I spend 1 night at Hotel Baraquda Pattaya. Hotel is located in prime area (10 minutes walk to good café, supermarket, department store and beach). Hotel's staffs are very friendly and helpful. My check-in process was completed before I finished my welcome drink. Room is spacious, clean and fantastic. I a bit annoyed smoking guest at pool-side and rooftop bar. It would be better if there is smoking area which is not disturb other guest. BTW, it really good experience here.

The overall design of the hotel is excellent. The car park is well designed, but is more likely not adequate during high season. The facilities is suitable to the small size of this hotel. The breakfast in the only weak point of this hotel. I am not satisfied with it especially from the viewpoint of being Accor member.

It's been a long time that I not stayed in this hotel. After come back this time many things is changed such as staffs are better service but room and decoration still the same. The hotel location is good that you can walk to the biggest department store in Pattaya for shopping, food and entertainment. Staff in Sunset Lounge gave me very good service.

« A warm welcome and relaxing stay »

From the moment I arrived to my departure my experience was a great one. A very relaxing hotel without the hordes of people on tour together. The pool was relaxing and offered protection from the sun and had drink and food service. The sunset bar offered a different experience and if a world significant sporting event was on could be viewed on a large screen. The staff were friendly and happy. The room had everything you needed although an unconventional set up. Great airconditioning and in room safe. Breakfast had enough variety and you can have eggs cooked to your liking.

I was on vacation with my husband and my 2 underage daughter. When i landed in pattaya, i chose to stay at Baraquda hotel. I have to say that I’m very disappointed with this hotel services. Before that, i am a gold member at accor plus. First, when i asked for free upgrade room to suite, they said they can’t upgrade room because all of the suite room are all on renovations. When i asked for free extra bed, they did gave me yet they kept asking me how many person were in this room. The manager said the hotel had the regulation that one room can only be max 3 person (are all hotels in pattaya like this?) and if there’s more person even if it’s 1 more, i had to pay at a total of 1000 baht/night. The worse thing is when i didn’t pay, 1 person from my family can’t stay at the hotel and if i cancel, they can’t return the money. I begged the manager so that i can have the room with no charge because my underage daughter can’t be separated and so does my husband. The manager refused to hear my excuses and kept asking me to pay as if “she” is taking advantage of money from me. I mean, the manager won’t understand that we’ve budget our holiday and we have no more budget that can be spent just to pay a huge amount of money for extra 1 person in the room. The room also smells really bad because of all the old furniture, the upper shower were also dripping even though i already turn it off and the hotel occupancy were really low. I hope the hotel could improve more and not taking advantages from a customer like this anymore.

In regards to the room upgrade, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We were refurbishing our suites last month in order to enhance guest satisfaction, which is why we couldn’t upgrade some of our guests for free. However, our suites are done and back to offer to our guests. In regards to the accommodation policy, allow me to inform you that as per standard hotel policy in all hotels, not only in Pattaya, but around the world, each room can take 2 people and a child only (usually not more than 12 years old). Anything over that, the hotel charges a fixed amount per person, per night. After investigation, it has come to my notice that you arrived with 4 people; your husband, you and your two daughters who are more than 12 years of age. Despite that, my manager offered to charge you only for 1 person per night as we understood your budget situation, and also offered free breakfast. We hope you understand that we cannot offer complimentary charges for 2 extra people, as there additional costs involved such as extra bed, breakfast and extra amenities. We try our utmost best to take care of each guest and deliver bespoke service and ensure optimum guest satisfaction. We hope you understand our predicament in this situation. Overall the experience was positive. Most of the staff were polite and greeted us when we walked through reception, however there were the exceptions. A few, mainly male, members of staff didn’t even look up from their phones long enough to acknowledge our existence.

I came with high expectations based on the many times that I have stayed in this hotel. To me, the location is one of the best. It's not too close to the hectic streets but close enough in case you change your mind. I had the best food in this hotel previously, but this time I got food poisoning. Plus, it didn't even taste good. The service at the pool is the worst that I have seen. You need to go pick up your towel from under the counter, grab an ashtray from behind the bar, go into the restaurant to find someone to order from, and when you do, they give you attitude. The rooms were filthy. You can see all sort of stains on the leather bed frame. The internet was useless and the bathroom needed major plumbing and maintenance. It was so sad to see the hotel transform from what it used to be to what it had become

I booked room with Balcony facing pool and got room facing city My booking was confirmed by Hotels.com with Balcony facing Pool. When I checked in Room facing Pool was not available. Also the room I got was the last one at the far end. I had a bad leg after injury and walked hardly. My explantion to staff did not help. I told the reception I will leave to another hotel and they dis not care. I came only for 1.5 day ( booked 2 nights but actually did not stay the 2nd nigjt as my flight back was at midnight) and I had to meet another guest that was staying at this hotel) Hotels tht do not respect confirmation is something that must stop. Confirmation is a contract and you breached your contract. No apologise and no conpensation was offered. Defiantly not going to recomned this hotel Other than this the stay and service was fine. So pls dont send me bqck thise mails saying you are sorry and your mission is to give better aervive. All this fone worlds are not going to help now. I will send the same report to Hotels.Com as a gold member they should treat it more seriousley I hope. I book at list 200 rooms there every year
