« close enough-good enough, a really good value alternative to the more upmarket rivals downtown. »

+The room was well appointed with a bonus balcony and the bathroom had a bathtub. Foxtel a real plus. Good and safe parking, quiet but very handy location, close to shops and easy to get downtown in the morning. =There is no lift, the hot water is rather piping hot, the doors slam shut (noisy), the overall feel is OK with the breakfast being a bit of a letdown.

Satisfied - the sitting room off the bar area could have some current magazines/fresh flowers just to brighten the room up and also for people that are waiting for others to arrive or travelling alone. thank you

« a well appointed hotel with all the facilities we wantd in a central location. »

We were very comfortable, had excellent breakfasts and easy access to our room. The laundry facilities were excellent. The staff was very freindly and helpful with our enquiries. Altogether we were very pleased with ojur stay and will return.

« Nice location, disappointing hotel »

There were spiders on the balcony on arrival. Asked cleaning staff to remove. There were spider webs on the balcony all the stay. There were never cleaned. We went out one morning and arrived back at midday. We told the cleaners that we will be out again at 14:00 and they can clean the room after that. We were told they will be gone by then. Dumbfounded. We noticed that the room wasn't been cleaned every day, just the towels and bed made. We were told at reception the don't clean every day, only on request. Again dumbfounded. We came back one evening and our door was open. Still dumbfounded. I told reception and was told that this would be passed on to the manager. I had expected at least a note from the manager apologizing but nothing. Not dumbfounded, was expecting this by now. I mentioned these issues on checkout and we had two mini bar items complementary. If we hadn't paid in full on arrival we would have left earlier.As an Accor Member extremely dissapointed

Helped us out on short notice with appropriate accommodation with a disabled relative, who had had a medical procedure, whilst down from the country & needed to stay overnight unexpectedly.

It is always a pleasure to stay with you. The staff are always friendly and i get the same great rooms. beds are comfortable, rooms are always cleaned. i do miss not having newspapers available in reception though. It was also good to see a change in the menu selection.

« The room met our requirements, unfortunately the smell of the room spoilt our stay »

The room was fine, and we were only in it of a night time as we had full day events to attend during our stay. Unfortunately however the smell of the room (I'm guessing a musty smell, from water going onto carpet from bathroom as there was water damage to bathroom door) spoilt our experience. I did not report this until departure, as I don't like to cause a fuss and it appeared the motel was fully booked, however I would not like anyone else to experience this. The smell was so strong, we continued to smell it in our bags and clothes for a couple of days later.

I beleive it was myself who checked you out as remember you advising the odour present during your stay which is not common. After being advised i had housekeeping use our carpet cleaning on the carpets as after inspecting we found this may have occured due to the carpet being damp at some point and the issue is now resolved. « Not perfect but well above average ! »

Spent 2 nights and must say first and foremost great recognition of Le Club Accor status ,much appreciated.Admittedly I was first a bit apprehensive of the fact Platinums now receive complimentary breakfasts in certain hotels these days and that's 3 times this week I have used different hotels and the reception staff have all been right on the button regarding this benefit. Hats off to yous all !! Staff were extremely pleasant over the weekend and offered appropriate information to myself when approached. The rooms were more than adequate and serviced well but perhaps could do with a bit of a spruce up, but tell me a one that couldn't through time.Both days breakfast was extremely good with eggs served accordingly to choice if preferred . Another feather in the cap ! Only slight blemish would be it seemed as if the reception staff were also running the bar which in reflection wasn't the best idea as when they are busy with check ins and the like there were customers waiting to be served at the bar both nights. Perhaps a note for the future . All in all enjoyed the stay and wouldn't hesitate to use again if in the vacinity

After my first stay at the Mecure I was a bit hesitant to stay again, but this time I was suprised. The staff could not have been any more helpful, changing my booking not once but twice. Very appreciative of the service of one particular gentleman who was so caring and understanding.

It is clear the hotel is undergoing renovations but overall it was good. Staff was friendly, room was very nice and spacious and restaurant was good. We stayed in the family room and the kids were glad to get their own beds. The outdoor area off the restaurant is lovely. Pity trees now cover most of the view. The room, including the bathroom was renovated but for some reason the bathroom door was old and water damaged and did not open and close well. The kids were very disappointed with the pool which is in desperate need of renovation and heating. I’m not sure if we would stay again unless the pool is fixed up.

The room (112) was not up to the standard we have previously enjoyed at your Motel - The hand basin had a large crack in it harbouring who knows what germs, the room had a very pronounced odour as if there had been mice residing in it - the room seemed well overdue for refurbishment. Service was good as expected - staff were friendly and efficient.

« A disaster. The grounds looked very pleasant. »

Difficult. The stairs everywhere to the rooms dining area and foyer. We were told the bed was a queen we saw it as a double. Calling it a hotel we foolishly assumed there would be a lift. The bed head decors seemed very dated. Had it been a two storey motel perhaps?

Quick check in with surprised upgrade. Very clean bedsheet which was my top priority as I needed a comfortable sleep for my early trip to Tamworth and Mercure has done a great job! Quiet & North-East aspect.
