mediocre - staff was very competent but no hot water for two days - I took a cold shower the first day because of time constraints - I spoke the first day to front desk and found water to be hot later in the day but following morning, there was no hot water again. called desk again and service was sent.

Friendly welcome at check-in, staff is efficient and available whenever we need assistance. However, I was disappointed with the closure of the bar and restaurant of the main building. Now the bar and the restaurant work on the other building and are full of people and a bit noisy. I would rather prefer that the bar and the restaurant of the main building are reopened.

I am used to staying at hotels where breakfast is included and we are afforded the USG rate since I work for a USG contractor that has many consultants coming into the country. While I had to use my membership to get a room rate within the per diem, breakfast was not included which made the experience a bit more difficult. I chose this in lieu of the Novotel because of the gym facilities which I used every day so that was great. I also stayed for many nights and was unable to get a refund for two nights when I was required to travel to Man for work. When I returned, I had continuing problems with the room key. I would be great (and would give the hotel a lot more business) if they offered flexible room rate within the USG per diem with breakfast included to Chemonics International since we do a lot of business in the country.

« The attention to details was way below my expectation of a Sofitel hotel. »

It was ok. Just like it could have been with any hotel in Abidjan. I expected more than I got while opting for Sofitel among other hotels that I have tried in Abidjan including Tiama, Novotel, Ibis, Ivotel and the Golf.

Ok service. Too many inquires to my for eventhough I had the "no disturb" sign. Carpet has multiple stains. Bed is very comfy and fluffy. Good pillows.

Iconic hotel. Overall a good experience. But....my breakfast coffee and croissant cost $35. Billing added CFA4,000 tip not CFA1,000. Check out staff could/would not change it. And finally they tried to charge me TWICE for my room!
