« Great place for staycation »

Still scored very good overall due to amenities especially for toddlers/kids but it seems not well maintained. The photos in the website shows the new ones but actual (ie. toys, billiards table) are mostly worn out already. One of the major downside on this hotel are the staffs at breakfast, ocean terrace restaurant who are frowning most of the time. They are not helpful enough to their guests.

I was very pleased to read that you enjoyed your overall stay, however thank you for your feedback regarding the condition of the toys and billiards tables. We recently purchased a high volume of new toys so I was surprised to read this. However I will work with my teams to renew the surfaces of the pool tables. I was disappointed to read that you did not enjoy your dining experience in Ocean Terrace and Breakfast due to the attitude of the staff. This is certainly not the norm and I will be sure to personally follow up here. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This was such a family friendly environment with superior customer service. I asked for early checking and was given one. The breakfast was unbelievable. Moreover manager Bunty made a huge gesture on suggesting how we spend a good evening in cha am. Overall, I would like to go there again.

Hotel is good for family. Especially for children. We stay there without any going outside. But the restaurant both Ocean terrace and restaurant for breakfast, don’t have air conditioner. In summer, it is very hot. Pls kindly consider this matter

I have booking pass the agency I don’t know about the price is not include breakfast when I were to counter check-in the staff she told me breakfast is start at 6 until 10 at horizon room on 3rd floor , I herd like that I understood oh it included the breakfast but another day when I stay at the restaurant i’m So disappointed about why she does’t tell me last night

« As expected for a Novotel standard. »

It was as expected except for the debacle at breakfast. There is just not enough staffs to clean up the tables and the long queue for breakfast. The manager was useless in his managing of the situation. Didn’t do anything to help his staff. Just stood their looking dumb and overwhelmed. I didn’t go back for breakfast the next day. I understand it was raining and it flooded the restaurant but the Coordination and directions from him was needed to get his staff organised and did what was important first and that was to clean the many tables that was empty so guest can sit down and enjoy their breakfast. Other than that the all the other staffs were amazing.

Saved on: Tue 4/10/2018 12:08 PM Show all 3 recipients To: rs…; re…; To whom it may concern I think I'm quite a fan of Novotel. My wedding party was held at Novotel Suvarnabhumi in 2016. I occasionally go there to have some wonderful cakes and enjoy Chinese cuisine there. I visited Novotel Hua Hin in 2017 and it was a great stay. I always encourage my friends and family to stay there if they are going to Hua Hin. Although receptionist, bell boys and other staffs were very helpful, my recent stay has gave me some bad experience. On 7 April 2018, it was raining a lot. The breakfast area was quite busy and staffs had difficulty dealing with the rain that spill into dining area, which is understandable because the layout of the hotel (open air area). However, the practice they use to clean the dining table is unacceptable. My wife and I saw one of the staff use leftover water in glass (water from previous guest) to clean the table. He pour those leftover water into a piece of cloth and use that to clean dirty table. Another staff tried to empty the glasses by pouring them directly on the floor. I knew that the floor was already wet because of the rain but that was 10 feet away from my dining table and it should be properly done in their working area. After I saw everything I can not stand having my breakfast anymore because I don't know how my table has been cleaned. There are many disease that can spread via saliva. You could say that germs/bacteria/virus might have died before in the final touch they use another clean cloth / soap / or something to wipe the table. But you won't clean dining table at your home with water leftover from someone else, do you? All of these happened in customer-facing area. Can you imagine what they would do when the customer did not see? I used to have a very good experience with this hotel and insist my family to revisit. However, the improper practice stated above critically diminish my experience toward Novotel. I haven't tried staying at Marriot / Sheraton / Dusit at Hua Hin before because I usually stay at Novotel. But I might, next time. The last topic I would like to talk about is the pet programme at Novotel Hua Hin. It is a good idea to arrange the stay for beloved pet. I bring my cat with me this time and enjoy our time together. However, the room for pet programme was restricted to only 5th (big bed) and 6th floor (twin bed). I think it should be extended to higher level because the 5th and 6th floor is rubbish. The hotel makes me feel that it is trying to sell those unsellable room (5th and 6th floor) to me (who bring the cat) because it know that I have no choice but to get those rooms (that it can't sell to other people). My view is blocked with two gigantic satellite dishes and when I asked to changed the room, the answer was, rooms at another wing could be worse because there is a noisy air-conditioning chiller at that side. I can feel the vibration from the floor. So please, the pet programme is very tempting but it should be on other designated floor as well. That was the thing you can consider to improve. But the main thing for me is improper practice of staff, which should be rectify ASAP. Regards, Saran

- The lifts were extremely slow - Took us 1 and a half hour to get our room keys regardless of full pre-payment (which is definitely wrong to begin with) - Half n hour wait for checkout - Food was not good - Service was not good - Rooms were old and run down

Good time for parent and kids. Good breakfast and appreciate executive lounge. Raining hard caused wet and slippery floor in lobby and breakfast room. The walkway to the lounge and kids club needs curtain in case of heavy rain.

We stayed two nights in the hotel. We enjoyed playing in the swimming pool, especially the slide, and the kids room. The location is very good with some restaurants and shops nearby. It's better to have bathtube in the room.
