After a long motorcycle ride from Sydney, I arrived at the reception at approximately 8 p.m. to check in and was greeted by a concierge desk that was neither warm nor welcoming. The reception provided contrary information about parking. I requested a day pass that would enable me to enter and exit as many times as I desired with one fee. The receptionist said this was possible and I could speak to the concierge desk to arrange it. I then spoke to the gentleman at the concierge, who explained to me (in a tone that had assumed I did not understand English) that my request for a flat-rate day parking was impossible, despite being told by the reception desk a moment earlier. In a condescending tone, the concierge said he refused to take my motorcycle via valet. I was confused since I had not requested a valet for my bike. After a long, fatiguing ride, the initial experience was below my expectations. During my four-night stay, my room was kept tidy. However, the facilities were somewhat dated, with small details needing repair, such as the cover of my tissue box falling off in the bathroom and the TV having intermittent signal issues. The swimming pool was kept quiet, and the gym facilities were adequate. Breakfast is also acceptable, with no significant daily variation in the standard offerings of scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, pancakes, and bread and fruit. (this became mundane after four days) Overall, the restaurant and cleaning staff were pleasant. However, the reception and concierge desk staff were below my expectations.
