A number of ABB staff stayed at the Mercure 4th-6th March. Staff did comment that rooms were dated, but understand that refurbishment may be in the planning and take time. However, they were disappointed with TVs not working, dirty vents over shower, and in a couple of instances checking into a room that had not been made up yet (bed still unmade from previous occupant). Very disappointing and doesn't encourage repeat patronage.

« Disappointing considering I booked with a manager and explained all requests etc to get it right, and it was not. »

The interconnecting room door was not unlocked, and couldn't be, several people came and went over several hours until it finally was. This really made our settling in very late and meant room service had to be ordered. Room service gave us no where to sit, 1 desk chair for 4 people. We had also requested park views front of house high floor, but this was only floor 4, by the time we had dealt with multiple interruptions and interconnecting door opening attempts, well we did not get to enjoy sunset over the park. Also on arrival there was nowhere to park, and no valet attendant, then at the check in counters we waited 10 minutes for service. Overall Accor, i was very disappointing with my last stay, my 2 stays since have been with GHA!

This is certainly not the usual high levels of service to which we are proud of and I sincerely apologize for the lapse in our service standards during your check in /arrival process. I will followed up with both my Front Office Manager and Chief Concierge as to how these issues could occur when strict training guidelines have been put in place to ensure that these particular issues do not happen. Our apologies also that our rooms on level 5 (highest level of the room type reserved) were no pre-allocated before your arrival. This was not the best experience. First I was issued a key to a room that was already occupied. After sorting that out, pillows on bed were poor quality and uncomfortable. Room was too hot. On the second night there was very loud noise from the bar echoing thought the hotel until after midnight.

After staying over night at The Pullman Albert Park for a work conference, I’m disappointed that my experience in your hotel was not very satisfactory for two main reasons . Firstly the rooms . As we were all sharing a room we were confused as to why the beds were made up into double beds . This was the case in most rooms. The room I shared ( room 5110 Tower 2 ) was two single beds pushed together as a double although made up as single beds. We had to move them apart and were disgusted to see the amount of dust, and tissue pieces underneath. It obviously hadn’t been vacuumed thoroughly. We ate dinner in your restaurant and I was so disappointed in the choice of food, Lamb or Chicken and basically that’s all you got on your plate. No salad, potatoes, or even chips to go with it . I got a slice of lemon as an extra. We had to purchase chips. We were charged for a bottle of wine instead of a glass on our drink bill, which took a while to sort out. I will end on a positive though , your staff were helpful and professional and the catering we received from you for the conference was delicious as was breakfast Regards Tracy R.

The room, albeit being named a “privilege room” was in very poor condition. The bathroom had cracks in the ceiling, I tripped over the ripples of carpet at the main entrance and the AC was insufficient and outdated. I work with the event organisers and I was thankful that the individuals I invited to attend the Aerial Search & Rescue event were not having the same experience I was. I have always been commited to Accor and Mecure hotels and this has changed my view as I have never experienced the level of dissatisfaction I had when checking out of my room. The difference between the refurbished reception and lobby areas give the perception that the “privileged room” will have quality finishes. Overall, very dissatisfied. Clint E. Had a great stay. Booked 3 rooms and bed configuration was rong in 1 room. Was partly sorted. Instead of 2 queen beds my sisters had to sleep in 2 singles. The house keeping staff split the beds. Our meal was very uncomfortable with 6 adults at a table for 4. We had made a booking.

Nice staff, however the air conditioning was not the coldest in the room on a mild Melbourne afternoon. When the technician came to have a look he said shut the blinds. I'm glad it was not a very hot day. The WiFi did not recognize my surname, young gentlemen came to the room to give me a code to login. The rooms are starting to look run down and it would be the only hotel I have stayed at in the last year or so that didn't have a USB point to charge devices.
