We had an appointment on St Kilda Rd we checked in before the appointment and everything was good after appointment we had a few drinks in the atrium bar all was very good we booked the restaurant and looked forward to a reasonable quality meal. Ordered a steak and a lamb rump, Both meals came before the vegetables both were cold. We asked for them to be heated up. Vegetables arrived and waited five minutes for meat to arrive. lamb was still clod and was sent back. Arrived in another 5 minutes and was acceptable. But vegetables were now cold. Staff were pleasant and service OK but is was not an enjoyable meal

Very good. Met our needs. Met expectations. Although we were late to check in we still were able to have a late welcome drink. Only 1 bottle of complimentary water was disappointing. Had trouble buying the $1 breakfast on line then they couldn’t fix the issue so we had to pay full price.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean. The restaurant experience left a bit to be desired - I believe they were having some IT issues which caused the problem but the staff did not keep us informed as to the delay issues. When the food came out it was excellent.

« A comfortable and good quality hotel with an impressive foyer and reasonably priced rooms »

We arrived at 6.0pm , having walked from the MCG which was over an hour walking at a reasonable pace and found the check in process a little slow as we had to stand in a queue for about ten minutes when we a bit tired and looking forward to a sit down and a coffee. Having checked in we went straight to our room which was a standard twin Queen size bed room and found an empty bar fridge - no drinks or milk ! So I had to wait until we could get milk sent up from Room service. The TV and bathroom worked well and the beds were comfortable so overall it was a pleasant stay in spite of an inauspicious start.

Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. We did have to complain about the toilet (it was stuck on full flush before we even used it) but the lovely maintenance man fixed it right away. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Dinner was very nice although we found the new menu a bit confusing but the staff were very helpful. We did have to wait a while for our mains as the system went down. The staff very helpful on this matter too. Breakfast was very nice but we found the scrambled eggs very runny and the hot water for a cup of tea was luke warm. On the whole my mother and I enjoyed our stay and will most probably stay there again.

« A little disappointing »

Ok, but I have experienced better .Reception staff were great. Managed to dove tail my two bookings and I was able to stay in the same room. Very accomodating and welcoming. The biggest issue which totally effected my stay was the Air conditioner was not working properly. The room was so hot I needed to keep window open. This still didn't cool down the room but added to the noise obviously. I did report this and waited nearly 45 mins for maintenance just to tell me on the system and would turn down but this never happened. I had several issues with the Internet not working, dropping out and logging me off. Dust behind bed Bins not emptied Milk not restocked Kettle emptied and put away. This was a pain as it was so difficult to fill. Towels not taken, but new ones left as well. I am a gold member and have been an ACCOR member for 6-7 years now. Usually a welcoming letter and bottle water in room , but not this time. Guess if you compare you dont quite come up to scratch this time.... I was there for a conference and one of my friends actually had her room broken into whilst she was sleeping by another guest who obviously got lost but should not have been able to get into her room... This is an awful experience and she has been visibly disturbed by the whole experience ...
