« Comfortable but facility showing it’s age »

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was plain and basic. The bathtub is showing it’s age as well as the air con which only stayed on cold. The telephone didn’t work so we couldn’t contact reception or housekeeping.

Fantastic support from Nicola to get the Mercure room in Pullman. Bed not as good as Pullman and rooms a little bit run down/dated. However very comfortable and convenient in same buidling

« Great location but living conditions were not great »

Compared to other Mercure hotels I had stayed in, the conditions in this room require urgent improvement. In terms of location and the facilities in the hotel, I cannot complain about either. But the problem lies with the room itself. Connected to the adjacent room through an unecessary door, the room was extremely noisy. I could hear all of next door’s family conversations and I could tell you that this was extremely unpleasant. In top of this, I could not use the tap in the bathroom to get cold water due to a horrible noise it was making. I expected to have a quiet, relaxing holiday but I did not manage to get much sleep because of the family in the adjacent room as well as the personnel performing the housekeeping duties. From the room you can hear every move in the corridor as well as the cleaning that was done in the nearby rooms. As my husband and I did not manage to get much sleep, I cannot say that the hotel provided us with the opportunity to relax in the way we wanted it. As a result, we decided to check-in to a different hotel for the last part if our Melbourne trip.

« A magic stay- made all the difference with a 2pm checkout and pool access til 1700 »

Greeted warmly at check in. Later followed the seafood dinner- buffet. Excellent standard- all round a stay that we like to do annually if not more frequent .

the staff were very polite, the room was great except the mirror above the desk was so dirty, had marks all over it, the bathroom was clean but there was mould in the grout and around the bath, and our room was so hot, my husband rang reception and said how hot our room was, the airconditioning in the room you cannot control, so we had a restless hot sleep,

Staff was very attentive and service was great. Some confusion as staff were not aware of my loyalty status and forgot to provide welcome pack. Room and other facilities were extremely dated with chipped walls and very old furniture. The room was also not very clean with dust on the surfaces and stained sheets.

Was disappointed in room, heating stuck on at 22 even after maintenance came, also exyremely dusty. Uncomfortable when weather hot too. Bed, mattress on slope, hardly slept. Was not told about pre authority on credit card when checking in. Website stated $5 parking but was charged $20. Noticed trays in hallways from room service - were still there 18 hours later. Bathroom toilet bowl damaged. When standing in bath for shower, felt unstable and creaky. Water went from hot to cold several times when showering. TOTALLY, UTTERLY DISAPPOUNTED. will never stay at mercure again, and tell friends not to either. I did notice Lorraine Lea function/gala event on, BUT WHY should other customers be let down?

« Disappointed stay »

I was disappointed at the cleanliness of the room and shower. Having stayed in many Mercure hotels over the yrs, I was expecting a room that had had some updates considering the room rate. Where I understand it was the weekend and the hotel was fully booked, many of my friends had nicer, cleaner rooms for less money. The foyer and staff, on the other hand, were fantastic and I could not fault them.

Staff helpful. Rooms clean. This is the second time we have stayed in the last month. The only comment we can make is the king beds need upgrading. We found the first stay ,the mattress was dippy .not good if you have back issues. The mattress was in need of replacing. Overall we were happy .
