« Great value - nice hotel »

Another good stay at Mercure. Room could have been quieter - heating/cooling I think. Also, it was extremely busy with a conference and school holidays and the breakfast buffet was not as good as usual. Will stay again as its great value and big rooms.

Given its location there are few options for eating without going some distance. The meals in the restaurant are expensive and the quality I thought was really poor - certainly not value for money. Service was exceptionally slow.

« Clean, friendly & comfortable »

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a small wrinkle with access cards, but once you complete the transition of all the locks that wont be an issue. Desk staff were quite efficient and the concierge staff helpful and friendly. We ate in the main restaurant one evening and one of my group had some very specific dietary requirements. So impressed that the Chef came out to discuss options. They enjoyed their meal which had its basis from the menu, my meal was rather nice too.

« Enjoyable and relaxing time spent with the family »

My family and I had a great time with the key highlights being the spa/sauna, the buffet breakfast and the spacious family room. The staff and service including the valet parking were great too. The one thing that we didn’t like much was the bathroom. It was very aged and the toilet was extremely loud when flushed which lasted for some time afterward.

Last minute stop over. Cheap rate nice hotel friendly helpful staff. TV was broken in our room so we had to change rooms which was annoying after already unpacking (not upgraded just moved to another room) new room was really noisy, constant buzzing sound and a door adjoining the room next door which meant we could hear every conversation and even their phones vibrating through the wall which meant I wasn't able to sleep.

The staff are super friendly and attentive. Always paying attention to details. My 8 year old had a competition that weekend that’s why we were staying there and the manager took so much time to ask how she got on etc. she felt very special

« A little maintenance would go a long way »

The room was clean but that was about the only upside. In my room, the entry light didn't work, and one of the lights above the bathroom sink flickered constantly. I have a bad back, and found the beds (I tried both of them) very uncomfortable as they both sank too much in the middle. The showerhead would not stay upright no matter how I adjusted it and hung down fairly low, so I had to bend sideways to fit my head under the water, and the water pressure was really low so it took twice as long as usual. Honestly, a bit of maintenance on the room and maybe a newer mattress would have fixed all this.

It was very easy. I was there for a conference and everything was all in the one place. It was a really great venue for 100 of us - besides the actual conference room which was long and skinny. The catering was excellent - I'm gluten free and the separate table really really helped. I can't tell you what a difference that makes to cross-contamination etc.

« Pleasant stay, friendly staff and convenient location - good value! »

Upon arrival I was made to feel very welcome by a friendly and professional young lady, I think her name might have been Jacinta but I can't remember for sure. In any case, I was looked after very well, I had my car, a bicycle and lots of bags to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. Staff in general were friendly and the room was adequate although the bed perhaps was not as comfortable as I remember it to have been on a previous visit last year. I have to say, the lady who runs the Espresso Bar knows what she is doing, she makes great coffee, clearly experienced.

The worst bed i have ever come across. Was told valet parking was $25 then charged $35. Was told a pre authorisation was required and it would be refunded the next day? It now over a week and it’s still on hold. This is our second time staying with you, the first was much better and that’s why we came back.

I am sorry that the bed was not up to the standards that one would expect from a hotel, I have asked for the bed in room 4505 to be changed immediately. I am also sorry for the misinformation you were provided with regarding the cost of Valet Parking. I will speak to the hotels concierge team to ensure that they are giving the correct information on arrival. I am also extremely sorry that the receptionist that checked you out did not apologise for the issue with the bed or empathise with the situation at all. This is not acceptable and I will be having a conversation with her today to ensure that she adopts the right attitude before working on the reception again. If the funds that we held on check in have still not been released then I can contact your bank directly and ask them to release the funds as soon as possible. If the reversal has not taken place it would be great if you could confirm who your account is with and I will follow this up today. I really appreciate your sharing your feedback with me, and I will take the necessary action to ensure that I minimize the possibility of the same occurrence taking place again. I hope you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future and if you do choose to come back I will be more than happy to organise you a complimentary upgrade and complimentary executive lounge access. The entire staff were fantastic in being extremely empathetic regarding the reasoning for our extended stay due to the situation with our daughter having been in hospital.
