Getting into the place was difficult, with construction work behind the build and very limited parking before booking in. Once booked in, the entrance to the car park was 'tight' - again, not helped by the construction work limiting turning space in the lane. The staff were all very nice people - helpful and friendly - please extend our thanks to them. The room was nice too, with an ocean view and noise blocking windows - clean and comfortable. The shower was good - although the position of the door meant a lot of water ended up on the bathroom floor.

Our room was well appointed and appeared to have been recently renovated. It would have been good to have some subdued lighting rather than glaring spotlight or darkness. The 'luck of the draw' we had a superior studio which faced the construction work at the back of the premises. It was not ideal especially when work began one morning at 5.45 am. Staff were friendly and the room was serviced with supplied every day. Even though we were notified by APVC that as our stay was 5 days our room would not be serviced. Sebel gave us a pamphlet which stated that rooms were serviced for stays 8 days or longer. Our room was fully serviced after 4 days and some of our belongings disappeared with the bed sheets. We were not impressed especially when we got the impression from staff that we had misplaced the items. We were not offered any compensation for the loss and had to replace the items at our own expense.

We were welcomed at reception and quickly advised where to park our car and handed keys to our room which was a studio apartment. We are AVC members and were delighted with the refurbishments. We had stayed prior to the refurbishments and truly appreciated what had been done.

The room was very pleasant, but the noise from the construction work early each morning was far from pleasant. The noise from the Green restaurant next door until early hours if the morning totally destroyed any hope of sleep on what was a short night because of daylight saving . Not the way I had hoped to spend my one break in a year . DID NOT like the lack of information in the rooms. A display in the reception simply does not cut it, particularly at night when one needs to contact reception and there is no advice as to how this is possible.

I stayed at the Sebel Manly on the evening of 17th September, the stay was associated with a two day work conference, however it was also my sons 2nd birthday - so I brought them along too! The staff made the whole experience wonderful. I had made a note in the room booking that I was bringing my wife and son, and all I can say is that the Sebel staff read this note, welcomed us with open arms, and truly went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable staff. First of all, they allocated us to an amazing room overlooking manly beach. Then, they allowed early access to the room which was a huge help given it was a rainy day. Once in the room, we were amazed to see that the staff had written a birthday card for my son, and left some cupcakes and sparkling water. Honestly, it was a great experience - and we really appreciated the lengths that the hotel staff went to for us.

As owners we enjoyed staying in our room, but we are always suprised by the changes to the contents of the unit which are made without our consultation eg carpet which we do not likea and hideous lampshades which are very dangerous as their height and design make them unstable

Great over all. Lovely rooms although price a bit steep. Handy location to beach and shops and ferry terminal. However we weren't impressed with the building site right in front of us the noise was constant from seven in the morning to most nights till Five and on Saturday till noon, not what I came on holiday for, especially for eight nights. As I had booked a few months in advance it would of been nice to be warned about this. After four days we did complain and we were moved but to a smaller room and just as equally noisy room and also had a constant water running noise in the kitchen ceiling, seeing how we had already complained we didn't like to complain again.

We absolutely loved our weekend at your hotel, the recently renovated rooms in the front building are beautiful. we were away with my parents staying on the same floor so both rooms were lovely. Unfortunately we had a raging bucks party in the room next door for the 2 nights we stayed and didnt get much sleep at all. We had mentioned it about 4 times downstairs. The guys were all good blokes it was just way too many people coming and going all weekend. we noticed that lots of them had rooms throughout the hotel. great location, comfortable bed. Unit a bit shabby and airvent in bathroom was very dusty. Power point was up high so made it hard for a short person to plug in kettle. No face washers on first day.
