From check in to check out, the Sebel team couldn't have provided a better experience. A lovely touch was the bottle of champagne in our room when they were aware of our trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The studio room was very spacious and the balcony with the ocean views was a wonderful spot to enjoy the champagne

Room was a little dated (given the amount paid for the night) but was clean. Liked that it was refreshed daily with fresh linen however minor issue was the the Body wash was not updated.

The lack of storage space in the bedroom and bathroom was inconvenient. The kitchen was extremely small, which made meal preparation difficult.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this pleasant hotel. We both had an enjoyable time in a one bedroom apartment with district views. The apartment was equipped except it did not have a toaster and a dishwasher. Reception explained that there was no toaster because of the risk of setting of the smoke alarm, but she would gladly supply one, if we desired. We thought that the risk of setting off the smoke alarm was not worth the risk, so we declined. We also decided to limit our cooking because of this possibility, as there was no rangehood exhaust to remove the smoke. This was only a minor inconvenience and it gave us a reason to eat out more often. The staff were super friendly and helpful, so congrats there. The location was ideal as it was so close to the beach and parking was adequate, if not a bit tight. We would definitely stay here again, but will choose an ocean view room next time.

The room was clean although the bathroom light was not working nor was the bedside light. Check in was quick and easy. The reception area had bodyboards and sun cream to use which is good.

« Fantastic Anniversary Stay »

I booked one night in February as a special treat for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment I phoned the Sebel Manly to book to when my husband and I walked into our room, we felt like royalty. The staff went out of there way to make our stay special and even had Champagne, chocolates and a balloon waiting for us in our room when we arrived. A very special thank you to Nanor and Daisy for being so thoughtful and making our Anniversary so wonderful and memorable. We loved the Ocean View Apartment which was spacious, clean and very comfortable and the balcony was wonderful to sit and listen to the waves and people watch. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at The Sebel at Manly and we would highly recommend it to our family and friends. We too will be back in the not too distant future.

The staff at The sebel were very pleasant and helpful. However we were a little bit disappointed in the deluxe room we stayed in example television needs to be fixed or replaced kitchen utensils and crockery not enough no toasters because apparently it sets off the alarms which are basically right over the cooking area in the kitchen they should be moved somewhere else safe was not working.

The location was great. The layout of the 1 bedroom was good. The staff were friendly. The only draw backs were the lack of air circulation in the kitchenette area which prevented a toaster being available and when the fire alarm/announcement occurred on Sunday morning it was not audible from the bathroom and bedroom. To hear the announcement I had to open the front door of the rooms.

In one year overall the hotel has declined very much. My room was disfunctional. Too close to the pool. Very noisy. The wardrobe was impossible to use it. Very close to the bed side table. Inconsistent cleaning . Lifts dirty. Carpet in the lift dirty. Restaurant dropped the level. I was there with points of my membership. Unhappy with that membership too. Low standards for such an expensive hotel!

« An interesting experiment »

There was an ever changing scene outside our window as we looked down on the beach. The discipline of the school children who came with their teacher most days was impressive. The restaurant was noisy and had limited range of food. In particular there were no light choices. The staff were attentive. The key worked the lift, but not our door. Eventually maintenance staff realised the battery was flat and that was fixed. The space in the bathroom was great and the shower the best I can remember. The beach towels made into a dog was so exciting that asked for a late check-out so that my sister-in-law coming to meet us on our last afternoon could see it! There did not seem to be any quiet place to sit and read. The lifts were swift and I was intrigued that the dates did not agree with each other and usually not with the day either. My wife appreciated the two levels in the room.

« Wonderfully relaxing. »

We were overwhelmed with helpful staff from the moment we stepped out of the taxi. We were relieved of our luggage and escorted to reception. As we were a bit early and our room wasnt ready, our luggage was stored and we went next door to the wine bar for lunch. Our luggage was waiting in our room when we arrived back from lunch.Our stay continued in this manner with any query oe need attended to with a smile.

When we arrived at hotel Sebel manly we were told they had a plumbing problem and were being moved to novatel,they got us a cab when we got to novatel and had to wait for our room in the move between hotels I lost my good sunglasses (cab-hotels) ? So very bad start then next morning pack up and back to Sebel nice room but out back of hotel a bit of ocean view staff lovely we were somewhat disappointed that's why I just gave 5 Regards Mrs Josephine M.
