« Excellent apartment stay in Auckland »

Wonderful from the moment we arrived, very friendly welcome at reception. Check in was smooth and very easy. They surprised us with bubbles on arrival as we were celebrating a special occasion which was a lovely touch. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and would have easily fitted 6 adults with the fold out couch in the lounge (very comfortable) We used the spa and pool, the spa was fantastic and hot (usually they're just warm) and that was such a nice treat to enjoy. Slightly annoying that they don't have wifi in the rooms and you have to go down to to lobby or sign up as a member, but that's just a small downside, didn't bother us too much. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for apartment style (or even if you're not) and it's great location if you're attending any event at Spark Arena! Less than 15 minutes walk away!

Just stayed a night with partner and son. Pool is lovely son loved it we all did andspa. Clean and comfortable spacious 1 bedroom large bathroom full bath and kitchen with everything you need for a short stay. Mary was lovely at front desk and parking was easy around back and you could get straight to your room. Well done not 5 star but clean spacious and affordable. So close to viaduct and restaurants and ferrys.

Great location close to ferry terminal, many restaurants. Rooms have full kitchens, large balcony, comfortable beds, but need some updating, especially bathrooms Unfortunately a taller building is in construction across the street, partially blocking view of harbor. Also very noisy during the day. UP cafe downstairs was convenient for breakfast.

It was okay. It looked like the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. Still cup marks on certain shelves and water marks along cupboards. Also the pool was closed which I wasn’t told about and that was the reason I booked with you.

The hotel itself was of good quality. The cafe was closed which was unfortunate. Gym facility was very poor and during our stay we did not use it. Other hotels in New Zealand had much better gyms.

« Nice sized apartment »

Good sized apartment and rooms in good condition although bathroom looked tired - particularly the tiling in the showers. Check-in chap was very pleasant, but rooms not ready for us and our friends at 2pm, which we took to be earliest we could get in. Very disappointed that swimming pool was suddenly out of action - the Tepid Baths were not a good substitute. The chaps on reception when we asked about the pool and were told it was out of action could improve on how they break the news to families with kids. They didn't seem to care about the inconvenience.

Great beds, clean unit, happy with available items. The pool was way too hot at around 30oC+ and the spa was at 38oC which is a health hazard for all - especially children who don't know the implications of over heating. The rail line is currently being built along Abbot street which was quite noisy especially early hours of the morning. This information should be offered to travel agents when bookings are made.

We were relocated to a suite on the 18th floor which was amazing. The gentleman on the desk ...I think his name was mikchel or something similar moved our room due to an issue with bedding for my two children. The room was outstanding!

« Not at al happy with my stay »

Firstly, I was unable to use my complimentary night. When I made the booking on-line...the complimentary night selection was highlighted in a gold colour. When it displayed the total amount of the stay..it was also displayed in a gold colour. One would assume the sum displayed was therefore not going to be charged....and acknowledging the complimentary night selection. I was very annoyed to find out from the staff that the Sebel Quay West and Sebel Viaduct did not participate in the complimentary night as it is ‘strata’ status...whatever that means. On the booking website, there was no mention of this. Another complaint, the Sebel Quay West were laying new linoleum on the morning I checked out. The nauseating odour was overwhelmingly bad. I had a relative take my children straight down to the car park and not stand in the lobby where the odour was incredibly strong. There was no attempt to block off the toxic formaldehyde fumes....it was all opened up. I complained to a staff m. whose nick name is ‘Eli’ (a large Pacific Island chap)...but he completely disregarded my comment...not at all concerned about a guest’s complaint. He certainly needs to learn about ‘hospitality’!!! The other staff members had to be ignorant and negligent not to do something about that odour....even for their own self preservation. I do not plan to renew my Accor membership. That experience ‘cooked’ me!!!

This was done by confirming the details verbally rather than having you wait any longer. I do apologise if you believe we were disregarding your concerns.
