Construction noise, road barricades due to construction all around the hotel making it difficult to access, workers across the street on building under construction are at direct eye level, no view of the harbor anymore due to construction, razor provided in the shaving kit is useless

Dear Atul, I am sorry that you did not have a good experience. We did try our best to accommodate you on either sides of the hotel. However Auckland city is undergoing major development with the upgrade of the rail network and also with building projects. We were staying at the Sebel after flying in from Australia. Our flight was delayed several times and we didn’t end up arriving until 1am. The check in process was seamless and the lovely duty manager upgraded us to a two bedroom apartment so the kids didn’t have to sleep on the couch! Still has lovely views, even with the construction and is completely soundproof! The only suggestion I would make is to have a stocked minibar.... there is no room Service, and no 24 hour food outlets within the complex. After arriving at 1am, we were starving and just assumed that it would have room Service and/or a minibar like other Sebel’s we had stayed in.

Reception staff went above and beyond too make our short stay more than comfortable. Umbrellas, local information, sales at stores, SIM card for mother in law, directions, best restaurants. I even went and spoke to my travel agent and told her to book The Sebel for anyone travelling to Auckland.

« First time at the Sebel »

Favourite hotel in Auckland now and I have stayed at many, the service was perfect from Mary and made our stay amazing. I was not feeling well the next day and was allowed to check out at 12.30pm. The only fault would maybe be to make the spa pool hotter :) Fantastic room and brilliant coffee. The Balcony size was big and super nice. Also we couldn't hear any noise from other neighbours through our walls and the heating was so pleasant. We will definitely be back! thank you very much !

The reception was nice. Nice touch offering bottles of spring water. The Up-Café is a little small and looks a bit outdated. The rooms were quite nice but again felt a little unloved. The bed was comfortable and clean. Shower cubicle was quite small. Nice Appelles toiletries.

Happy with the stay some issue with daily cleaning wasnt that good there is some dusty area behind the beds and sofa . But the staff was very helpful i was in two apartments as the two bedroom wasn’t available online but the manager was helpful and he arranged us two bedrooms appartment Big thaaaaaanks to MR. Youssif , other thing i checked out one day earlier due to personal issue i have to fly back home , but since my booking unrefundable i couldn’t got the amount back . but for sure we will come back again and we recommend it for friends .

Room was spacious, staff was genuinely caring and subsidiary especially Sankar at night assisted with our requirements and on check out helped to load bags overall we had a good experience. But only the direction to hotel was not clear enough to reach the hotel and it approximately took 3 hours and we were thoroughly exhausted. It will be subsidiary if there is any hint given at the time of booking.

Excellent location, and lovely friendly staff. Good view and it’s a shame a big new tall building is being built right in front of the water view. Great stay, only comment was the sofa bed for the kids was absolutely terrible and in need of urgent replacing! We will stay again!
