Overpriced!!! Did not say car parking fee on Booking.com. I then got there and wa expected to pay $25 a day=$100 plus a security deposit which then takes 4 days to get back into my account and pay the entire accomodation costs. Most hotels don’t make you pay until you check out.

To whom it may concern. I phoned up on the day of checkin informing the staff that we will be checking in past 11pm on Friday 5th October. I was assured there would be a 24hour conseierge service, which is why we chose to stay at Sebel as we were travelling with a 4month old baby driving down from Newcastle (approx 2hours). When we arrived there was no way to enter into the Sebel front glass doors. There was no one at the front desk & I called the reception phone number many times and there was no answer. It was cold & rainy that evening & the baby was unsettled in the car. We waited outside for over 20min until luckily another guest had just arrived back & swiped us into the lobby. There was a sign at the lobby to call the after hours manager for assistance which we did. At the checkin the staff was not apologetic or empathetic at all that we had be hanging outside past midnight trying to get in to check in with a young baby. If that other guest didn’t not swipe us in we would have been locked out for hours. My husband had to attend to patients on Saturday morning so such a late Checkin was rather disruptive to him. This was disappointing as we have stayed at the Sebel on several occasions with good experiences which is why we chose to retun again & again. I did ask a staff it if we can have a late check out so I could feed our baby prior to the long 2 hour journey back home. I was told to call on the morning of Check out to enquire. On the morning of check out I called reception & was told the rooms are fully booked & the best she could do was 12noon check out. Being a a very regular Parton at hotels/serviced apartments in the north shore I found this hard to believe for a Sunday. I went online & saw that there were several 2 bedroom apartments available at the Sebel. I phone down again and reasoned with the staff & she then gave me a 2pm check out. My husbands medical suite is nearby to the Sebel Chatswood & all our visits prior to this stay have been convenient & enjoyable at the Sebel. This recent stay however was rather disappointing.

The apartment was a fantastic size, bigger than I imagined. The room had a couple of issues with the air conditioner not working so we’re cold and the main bed did not have the correct sheets so the bottom half of the bed did not have a sheet covering. Staff did rectify this by sending house keeping and providing a heater.

It had good space for the family that made our stay more relaxing. The only issue was the fact the wi-fi was only free if asked about it and signed up to Accor. This is a contrast to other hotels stayed at across Australia. For the amount we paid to stay I would expect this to be part of the package. Some of the cabinetry was a bit dated (including stick holding up sink in en suite bathroom), but this did not negatively impact our experience.

I found it disappointing that I had to ask reception staff for an upgrade. No extras such as bottled water, had to ask about wifi. Apartment was centrally located but needs an upgrade. View from apartment was amazing. Furnishings very tired but reasonably clean. Beds were very comfortable and linen was great and plenty of toiletries.

Good, we had everything we needed on the day, the projectors worked well the venue was clean and well presented. It received the feedback that it was a touch cold on the day from a few attendees. The food was good but we have received some feedback that it was not enough, perhaps we needed to order more. Elsie was helpful and prompt in helping get the even organised and was very accommodating of our needs. We will definitely be considering the Sebel for any future events we hold in Chatswood.

« The reception staff were amazing, nothing was an issue. »

Overall it was a really good experience, staff were so great and the location was excellent. We arrived earlier than the 2 pm check in time due to our flight and our room was was not ready. The staff were wonderful in letting us change and store our luggage until we could check in. If there was one thing to mention it would be the curtains which let in alot of light at night so the bedrooms were not very dark.
