Overall disappointed Staff were friendly, the staff member who checked us in was good. Beds were comfy and noise level was good, fairly quiet. Robes are nice. That’s about the only positives. Hotel and amenities are not 5 Star. Dusty rooms in places, behind the kettle. There was about 4 tissues in the holder with no tissue box, how cheap. Tissues not replenished once over 3 days. No table to sit and eat for three people when we ordered room service dinner, only one knife and fork set supplied for three meals. Room service meals were ok but nothing 5 Star about them. Ordered 3 chicken Parma’s from the bar downstairs for dinner on our last night, they were horrible. Over cooked and dried out with wilted and old salad. Totally unacceptable, they were so bad I didn’t eat mine. Worst of all 3 days after we checked out my credit card was charged for our hotel stay after we already paid when we checked in with my husbands credit card. That’s appalling and it overdrew my account.

I was checked in and given the wrong room number. Ended up I cant get into the room and someone told me the room was occupied so thus I have to go down and recheck with reception. I was told that the room written on the card was wrong. When i entered the correct room there was only one coffee pod probably not topped up. I knew i checked in an hour earlier than the suggested time but I told i can wait for the hour if the room was not ready. Recently i just realised i was charged for the minibar items which i never took and not aware until I checked my credit card. This current stay was definitely way different from my previous stay.

« Most enjoyable except with the disappointment of an expected Seaford buffet dinner »

A wonderful view from a spacious room overlooking Albert park lake extended view to bay and city. Staff were very friendly and helpful we had an expectation of a Seaford buffet dinner as seen on web sight but removed between when we booked and when we arrived the restaurant staff where very helpful in sorting out alternate menus. The room was very clean and well appointed.

Firstly I would congratulate you on your staff they are always willing to help and are so friendly. We arrived at the hotel room and of course hubby’s first thing to do is turn on the tv. It was not working, I called reception and with 5 mins maintenance person arrived, he could not fix so he organised the we changed rooms. Move into the next room and again hubby turns on tv and had to go get maintenance person from next door for the remote control was not working. He then fixed this for us. So we had lost the first hour hours of our get away to sorting out our room. ( room 7608 then room 7609) That night go to turn on the light beside bed and the switch does not work, that ok as could use switch on the other side of bed. Then at about 3am the tv decided to turn it self on. Scared me completely I got up and got the remote control and turned it off again it turned it self back on. After 3 times this happening I just left the tv on and put blanket over my head to shut out some of the light. I told reception about these issues the next day and again they organised people to check out the room. I don’t know the outcome of what happened for I was out at the time. But again was awoken to the tv turning it self back on again Saturday night, after many times turning it off with no luck left it on again over night. I didn’t bother to say anything Sunday morning for I was just so tried and wanted to get home. We have been staying at your hotel for many years and joined up as members a few years ago to show you our loyalty and receive yours.

The Pullman is an exceptional place to stay. Excellent facilities and staff. Was charged for mini bar items that were not used, but that was cleared up with one call. Over all an excellent hotel in an outstanding position. The views over Albert Park to the bay were exceptional.

Rooms were nice, clean comfortable. Meals were unfortunately disappointing. Outside bar was a fun idea but unorganised. We were also not clearly explained about car parking and were told $20 p/day however we were not aware we had to have another card to scan on departure. We were then charged $32 p/day and as the carpark was public we were told could not get a refund. Unhappy about this also. We have not been contacted about this by staff. We did enjoy our stay overall and would stay again.

Overall our stay was wonderful and we received friendly faces from all the staff. Initially, I was disappointed at missing the “welcome call” prior to my arrival and no acknowledgment of loyalty, which is the usual practice. However, upon arrival, we discovered the hotel was booked with a 'youth dance competition', in what is usually the quietest period of the year, and I will excuse the staff who must have been focused on accommodating that large and boisterous group of children. (Of which our family we no part of). We also didn’t find out until we arrived that we weren't assigned interlinked rooms, but were accommodated with opposite sides of the hall – which was certainly ok. My children were excited to use the heated pool and this was a driving reason to stay at the Pullman Albert park, but were disappointed to find out the pool was only available for 1 day during our 2-day stay, as it would close due to maintenance. We found the rooms neat and clean and the welcome wine gift graciously provided, was kindly replaced with Evian water upon request. My wife and I used our loyalty card to enjoy a birthday meal on the first night in the Windows restaurant. Jasmine who greeted us arranged for a special dessert treat for me and then on the following night, remembered that it was also my wife’s birthday, organized it again. It added to the magic of the stay. The family loved the breakfast buffet. The variety was wonderful and the food was fresh. Our omelets were custom made and the service was excellent. Checkout was a breeze.

Such a great alternative to the city, and so very easy to get here on the tram. It is peaceful and also close to Chapel Street. We love the Pulman rooms, having stayed many times at the Mercure adjacent. Sometimes the price is not much more, and then it is nice with some luxury. The indoor pool used be a little warmer, brrr.

Were there for FYD Nationals. Overall really good. Stayed for 5 nights. Comfy beds rooms clean. Disappointed on the last morning when we went to book in for breakfast having been told on check in we got it for $20 and to let them know if/when we wanted it to be told that was only a check in special and you had to have it every day to qualify. $38 per person was too expensive for the 3 of us.

Very disappointing when I had stated on the booking that it was my birthday and previously we had stayed at the Novotel Glen Waverley the start of December.and I had noted it was my partners birthday. When we go to our room at the Novotel we received a free drink card. balloons, a birthday card and champagne. When I checked in at the Pullman the staff asked the reason for our stay and I advised if was my birthday. So my special request had not been read and then they said oh we will send up a bottle of winee. Well two hours later I sent my partner down to see what was going on and they had forgotten. Then we finally received this and the staff just walked straight into our room without knocking. Just passing on this feedback to you.

The experience was amazing we had our daughters wedding ceremony over the road at the park. Roshni helped us reserve an area in the foyer and have the bar open for our families to come over for a couple hours before we went over to the reception at the park.
