The hotel seems tired. A bit old and worn. The wifi is poor and difficult to log into. The room was cold and no spare bedding. Shower took ages to adjust temperature. Nothing really bad just a bit average

« Rude staff »

Three of the four staff that I met during my stay were intolerably rude. Especially the car park manager who abused me on entry to the establishment for a reason I am still not sure. Also the room was not cleaned satisfactorily. For a room worth over $400 a night I expected a much nicer stay. I believe for this price parking should be free.

We are very disappointed to hear that you found a number of our team members rude. This is simply unacceptable behavior and all staff members will be spoken to. I believe the manager that you are referring to in the carpark is the Building Manager. Unfortunately, Accor does not have the building management agreement and we just run our business out of this building. Rob does not in anyway work for Accor and I will speak with him as he should not be speaking to our guests this way. I apologise for the inconvenience this caused. Your feedback regarding the room cleanliness is completely unacceptable and has been passed onto the housekeeping manager to investigate and address immediately. Movies not working, asked to be fixed - wasn't. No soap in the bathroom. Mini bar not replenished. Used towels removed not replenished - though I was happy to reuse them and had hung them on the back of the door. Room itself was excellent - great position and outlook.

Richard, we are extremely disappointed to hear of the finer points that were missing from your recent stay with us. It is simply unacceptable that toiletries and mini-bar were not replaced. I can confirm that this has been passed onto our Housekeeping Manager to investigate and address immediately. I am also very sorry to hear that the movies in your room were not working and that no one looked into this for you. I can confirm that we are in the initial stages of replacing all TVs with smart TVs and the movie system will be completely replaced with a much easier and better system for our guests. It is however great to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your apartment and its fantastic views Richard. I enjoyed every aspect of my room except the bathroom. It was so poorly designed that at the base of the toilet was two door stops. One to stop the shower door opening too far and one to stop the bathroom door breaking the knees of someone on the toilet. The other challenge was managing the low flow shower. The hot water was very hot (60 degrees?) and because of the low flow, it took some time for any adjustment to come through. A lot of water was wasted just getting the water to the right temperature. The other issue was that, unlike most hotel rooms, the door did not automatically lock behind you. It wasn't until a colleague staying at the hotel warned me that I realised I was leaving my door unlocked. That said, the staff were very helpful and responsive.

We are sorry to hear that the layout of the bathroom in your apartment presented issues for your stay. I can confirm that your feedback has been passed onto our Maintenace Manager to investigate and address particularly the temperature and flow issues in the shower, we will ensure that this is addressed immediately and apologise for the inconvenience this caused. I am also sorry to hear that the staff member checking you in did not advise that the doors must be physically locked. Unfortunately, the body corporate committee voted to have physical keys and locks installed at the beginning of the year and that we also had to make these changes. I will speak to staff and ensure they are advising guests on check-in. It is however great to hear that you did find our staff very helpful and responsive. Apartment was a great size for 3 to 4 people the view of the gardens where amazing and so easy to get around the city on foot. Room was clean and not to out of date and old. People where friendly. Fast check in and out.

« Very satisfactory experience in a well appointed hotel room in a top location. »

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were well appointed and clean. In particular the bed was comfortable and did not result in any sore backs after a nights sleep. The location was great and the view overlooking the Botanic Gardens and river was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast menu was a little restricted but none the less good and being freshly cooked for each meal was a bonus.

1 night stay for a business meeting. Loved the view of the park and river. Extremely spacious 1 bedroom apartment and comfortable bed. Breakfast was served on time, was delicious (poached eggs cooked perfectly!) and enjoyed on the balcony enjoying the view. Will most definitely be back.
