Room lay out was nice and spacious but that's where the nice words stop the room was dirty from floor to ceiling, sheets, towels all dirty, restaurant food uneatable and bad service, very expensive for a non maintained room if my family were traveling with me i would of canceled and gone elsewhere

I was upgraded by my hosts, so blown away by change from 1- to 3-bedroom apartment. The service, food and staff could not be faulted, but the apartment was a bit 'tired'.

« Good stay »

The overall experience was good. It was a nice hotel that was clean and tidy but a little tired. The room was huge and everything worked. The staff were friendly. I was disappointed that there wasn't a buffet but the breakfast meal that I had was very nice. A buffet would have been good as we were on a tight time schedule and the breakfast took 45 minutes to come out because there was a function on at the same time and apparently there was only one cook on that morning.

There is literally nothing I can suggest to improve my stay. The bed was very comfy, the room clean, and the staff were amazing. And I highly recommend the quinoa porridge for breakfast...delicious!!

Our one bedroom apartment was lovely and had a beautiful view of the gardens. Some fittings were tired and a tap was broken but that did not detract from the overall pleasure. We were looked after very well and Josh was particularly attentive and wonderful however at checkout, he was the only one on duty and he couldn't be everywhere. We had to wait 15 mins to complete checkout, along with other patrons.

as always staff were fantastic. A little disappointed in the room I stayed in the last 2 weeks (801) as the dining chairs are broken and a little concerning to sit on and the water in the main bathroom is either scalding or cold - very hard to regulate to have a decent shower. Also disappointing that room service meals are served on cardboard. My husband had a steak for dinner last week and the juices frio the steak had seeped into the cardboard so even when transferring to a plate - disappointing.

« A very pleasant stay in a lovely quality hotel »

Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and timeless appeal of the hotel. From the lovely hallways, sot carpet and furnishings to the quiet rooms overlooking the gardens and the great beds. The only drawback was the quality of the condiments, coffee in particular, these days the standard is at least nescafe style pods for a decent coffee. Also the A/C was a little hard to use, and to get the temp right for the room.

« OK, but let down by a few basics »

Good location, good friendly staff (eg Josh at reception). No snacks in the room (despite snacks on the mini bar list). No room service menu in the room ("it is being updated" - so not even a photo-copied temporary list?). Clock in the room did not work - just stayed stuck on one time. Odour in bathroom when first checked in, and again the second day.

The location of the hotel is great. The furnishings in the room were average, with torn lounge chair covers and dining seats that need replacing. Lunch seating time and availability of staff was very poor as was check out.
