Fabulous stay, great staff, great food and the hi-tea was amazing We stayed for our daughters hi-tea kitchen tea before her wedding so beautiful ladies family and friends has a lovely day. Staff looked after us well and nothing was to much trouble

« Three day stay next to the Botanic gardens »

Room was of a generous size for the price replete with washing machine, dryer and cook top. The furniture was comfortable enough and the bath/shower was adequate. Website not clear about check in counter hours and I arrived late and had to make a few calls to get in back the process was relatively efficient nonetheless. No buffet breakfast option with the remaining options being adequate and espresso coffee was not included in the prepaid price...a little disappointing. Room service was speedy and food was of good quality. Staff friendly and helpful overall.

Great staff, excellent location, great view. Unit needs some maintenance - crack in lamp table on left hand of sofa, no dustpan/brush, leaking pipe in laundry. These were no major problems.

Stayed for 4 nights and it was nice and relaxing. Firstly the staff are awesome, couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Thankyou. The room was nice, someone in a review of the hotel said the rooms smell, well they do not, the smell comes from the Botanical Gardens and is not horrible it is just an earthy smell of the grounds. The bed was a little hard and the fold out couch was dreadful but by night 4 I had it worked out as to where to lie on it. Room service food was average but the food in the restaurant was not very nice at all. Sent one meal back as it was so over cooked we couldn't cut through the meat. The fish was nice but I think it was bought already battered as both pieces were exactly the same size and shape. Then they ran out of icecream for the chocolate plate and the pavlova was a let down as even the cream was hard, as if pre prepared and stored for a bit. They are very helpful in the kitchen and are happy to cook whatever you wish even if not on the menu. We didn't do this but the lovely service staff said they would. The swimming pool was lovely and we had a pleasant afternoon there, as long as we stayed away from the spa area as it was broken and smelled really bad. Back to the room, the shampoo etc that is provided is really very good and smells great. The water pressure was fantastic. The kitchen is very well set out with enough of everything. So overall a very good long weekend. Once again, I can't stress enough that the staff are fantastic!!

The stay was pleasant. The breakfast staff were excellent, front desk friendly. My only concern was housekeeping, keeping in mind it was a holiday weekend it was not too bad. I did have leave a note outlining things that needed attention eg: bin liner in kitchen bin, the removal of soiled towels, no milk in the fridge on arrival, and the room was tidy but not clean. I have worked in this industry, so I am well aware of time constrains etc., but this was not up to standard I'm sorry to say.

Stay was good, although rooms are dated they have everything you expect in an apartment. Reception service is terrible, not sure if staff were scaled back for Easter period however reception was constantly unattended. Could only get one key for our apartment which was odd and an inconvenience.

My experience at the Sebel Quay West Brisbane was extremely pleasant, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was perfect for this particular trip and the hotel itself was great. We had a room looking over the Botanic gardens which was nice and the pool was great.

The staff were very friendly, however it could not make up for the fact our room smelt soo strongly of smoke. It made the room repulsive as we are not smokers. When we arrived home and opened our luggage bas - the smell of smoke that came out of our bags (just from being in the room) was unbelievable and a reminder of the room smell, I had to wash all our unworn clothes because the smell was soo bad. Not what we expect from an accor hotel in Australia.

Constant housekeeping problems, tried to tell us we could not self park the car and had to pay $40 a night, we had to make the bed and ask for towels etc for the extra guest we had for 3 nights which was prearranged, tried to charge us for minibar items when we had the minibar removed such as our complimentary water and iced tea we had bought ourselves

I also apologise that you were incorrectly charged for the mini bar. This is a manual process and this may have been a mistake on Front Offices end, I will also follow this up today. Stayed for 2 nights for a business trip. The suite was well appointed and spacious. The hotel is a bit older but is well maintained and this does not affect the experience in anyway. Food was also very nice. Had dinner in the restaurant one night and room service then next.

« A tired hotel in a beautiful location »

I did pass this on to the front desk and he was very understanding. On first walking into the room I would have turned around and left had it not been for a booking debarcle which btw was handled well by front desk. The carpet in the room was filthy and looking at it immediately raises concerns about the overall cleanliness. The bathroom sink was almost blocked, not a big deal but something that must have obvious to whom ever was cleaning the room. The gym equipment while working is ancient and not of the QuickType you’d expect at a 5 star hotel (bike, cross trainer). Internet charges are out of date. The breakfast server was excellent and she was very accommodating. Food was good. To be honest I was concerned about the quality going in given that I was the only one there.

« Very good service, great location but very dated room »

Location was excellent and the staff was very helpful. 3 Bedroom apartment as very old and dated and needs a complete refurbish. Construction in residence part of the hotel was extremely loud and too early to the day and no warning.

This feedback is not for publication; there’s no other place to give precise feedback. The aircon in the room was good in the living area but there was nothing in the bedroom. A friend who often stays with you says that’s always his experience. The bedroom gets very stuffy so it’s necessary to leave the external door open, whether you want to or not.
