« Good hotel with improvements need to the ammenity »

The rooms are nice but getting dated. The air conditioning system is confusing and didn't ever seem to work well. The hot water in the bathroom took 2 or 3 minutes to come through which seems a terrible waste of water. Bar and breakfast options are limited and somewhat uninviting. The hotel wifi didn't work for me and I was unable to resolve the issue as it was after 11pm when I discovered and nobody was at the front desk. Also, nobody on reception between 11pm and 6am each night. What high quality hotel for business travellers doesn't have 24/7 coverage for guests? Finally, I was sent an on-line checkin email a few days before my visit. I took the time to complete this and in the process asked for a high level room away from the elevator. You gave me a room on Level 9 next to the elevator. Is someone trying to be funny? You have 20+ floors in the hotel and I asked for a high room! My colleague who has no Accor status, compared to my Gold, asked for nothing and was on the 18th floor. This is very frustrating.

« Helpful friendly service and great views but apartment needs refresh »

Nice, well-located property with great views across the Botanic Gardens and the river on both sides, common areas nice, however the apartment itself needs a refresh/revamp. Staff were helpful and friendly, which makes a big difference.

« Not up to scratch »

We have stayed with Sebel hotels a number of times and stayed at Alice St Brisbane hotel last year as well. This time was probably the least impressive and to be honest if I had not stayed with you previously I probably would not return. The staff seemed less than interested this time around with anything we required including our leaking aircon. Not to go on too much but our aircon leaked, no gushed water everywhere from the hall way and when I called reception it went through to the after hours number but it was before 11pm. The lady returned me to reception where I spoke to a young man who simply bought us towels up to soak the water up. To his credit he located a fan that we could use for the evening as we could not use the aircon. We were told we would have to move room as we wouldn't be able to use the aircon, I did not want to move since we had only 2 more nights, we were fed a little bit of nonsense about the aircon and what they did not and do not know is we have our airconditioning company here in Perth so we were fed lines to try and appease us. When we got to the bottom of it they just could not get anyone out for a couple of days. Overall whilst the staff were pleasant to a degree we certainly were not welcomed

« my experience was slightly tainted at the end. »

It took more than an hour for my luggage to arrive to the room. I phoned to remind front desk. After waiting some more I went down to the lobby and finally got some action. My vehicle was valet parked. On departure the vehicle would not start, flat battery. I had no previous problems with the battery and have had no issues since my stay so I believe something has gone wrong after the car was parked. Disappointing end to a lovely weekend. Something went wrong while I was trying to buy a movie. I had to call for help. Staff were very polite and happy to help. Room service was excellent.

« Disappointing »

I booked the Quay West based on friends recommendation. I travel regularly to Brisbane and have always booked in at the Stamford however this time I decided to book at the Quay West as I had my wife and daughter travelling with me. On our 2nd day we arrived back to our room late afternoon to find our room was not cleaned or serviced. I was told that they simply forgot and offered some fresh towels. On the Thursday afternoon it was very hot in Brisbane so I took my family to the pool to enjoy the hot weather. Whilst the pool and surrounding area was nice we could not locate any towel anywhere near the pool or gym. Having jumped into the pool we had to head to the front desk to request some towels. I think that is a big inconveniences for guest and a big oversight. Safe to say I will be very unlikely to visit the Quay West in future.

« Not bad! »

The room was good and the staff brilliant. Was very dissapointed with the breakfast! The service was very slow and breakfast was overpriced for what it was. This will potentially mean I stay else where next time.

friendly staff - very accommodating room with everything you need. * took me some time to work out how to get "normal" TV * if there was one thing i could emphasize - it would be the parking. You are charged an outrageous amount for valet parking and my car never got parked til at 5.30 on the day I arrived and then ,y car was out ready first thing in the morning at 7.30 when i didn't check out until 11am ^ the second very important thing - if you are not just taking a swipe of someone's credit card and the customers credit card is actually being charged - you should be providing the customer with a receipt and an explanation on the fact that it can take 3-5 working days for that $150 charge to be refunded

« I don't believe the residence was reflective of the cost. »

Sadly the only reason we are able to provide a 3 was because of the customer service. We were very disappointed with a number of aspects from the card access, to the state of the room (broken tiles glued back on, gaps behind taps, black residue leaking from iron, old austar points still there), the sofa bed was not made up as requested - there are a number of other issues also.

« Wonderful Stay »

Our stay was hassle free from the moment we checked in until we checked out. We were able to check in early and stay a little late, and no problems there. Our room was great the views across the gardens and the river, just beautiful. All staff were very obliging and helpful and I would not hesitate to stay again.

« Inadequate check in facilities after hours. »

The room was satisfactory however the process to check in given it was after normal hours was not of a standard I exepected from an Accor group hotel. using the intercom to speak to Accor afterhours service or building management which I don't think exists meant I was waiting at outside for 20/25 minutes which isn't an experience I want to go through again given I already had flight delays. A simple email or text on day of check in with instructions of how to obtain the key would have been much better solution and one that simple airbnb residences use. I won't be looking to stay at this accomodation again going forward.

« Location and apartment was fine. »

We enjoyed the 3 night stay and would stay again. The negative was the breakfasts. No buffet just a-la-carte and the choices were strange. In addition the breakfast staff (when you could find them) were fairly unprofessional. Food was unnecessarily complex.

« Staff very helpful! Room - very average. »

Staff were accommodating, willing to help and friendly - a pleasure to deal with. Room: For the price we paid, we were expecting a room that was far more luxurious - room was old, outdated and several aspects of kitchen and bathroom were tired and worn out. Bedding/Linen, however, were clean, fresh and good quality. Lifts: we were a part of a wedding party and experienced great difficulty in the lifts getting to each others floors in order to get reading for the ceremony.
