« a little frustrating »

I attended a conference at the Pullman hotel. At the end of day we retrieved our bags from the luggage room, and left the hotel searching for the Mercure, thinking it was across the road. After a confusing 15 minutes, we saw the sign for the Mercure on the building we had just left. Aaagh. Also, the room was pleasant and clean, and the bed very comfortable, but when I tried to call room service the call went unanswered... I also tried the concierge and housekeeping, both unanswered. Perhaps it is a fault with the phone - room 1305 in case you need to check it.

« A comfy home away from home »

Even though we both had to work (& we work in Brisbane CBD) I looked at staying for an affordable amount - & we were over the moon how lovely & comfy the room was. On arrival & for the whole stay the staff were extremely helpful & friendly too.

« Disappointed »

I ordered a steak and fries for dinner. Medium rare. My steak was cooked blue rare. I ended up eating most of the outside of the steak because I never saw my server again. I had to get someone’s attention to get my bill. They asked how my meal was. I told them the problem I had and all I got was a sorry. No offer of a discount. Very disappointed! I then went to my room and it was extremely hot and humid. It was late and I was tired from traveling so Instead of asking to change rooms I just delbt with it. I told the front desk in the morning and they didn’t really seem to care. Plus I was told my horrible steak dinner wasn’t included with my room, even thought I was told my meals were included when I checked in. I usually stay at the mercure once a month. Looks like I may need to look around for another place to stay.

« A satisfactory stay at an excellent price »

Parking was easy and convenient Front desk staff were all very helpful It's a shame the pool isn't available Room was a little dark with the scaffolding outside but otherwise fine. Had to wait 25mins at the 16 Antlers Bar for a cocktail while the barman ran around trying to find an ingredient and then realised they'd run out and had to make me a different drink. This was early on a saturday night. Maybe better supply is needed.

Executive lounge very good (best I have stayed at). Cafe very good. Reception good. Concierge great. Overall last couple of times I have stayed it has been a great experience. Thank you.

« Could have been better »

I was not told at booking the pool and gym area was closed and the rooftop bar was not open Monday’s which is the night I stayed so the things I was looking forward to were not provided. Car parking was an issue as I had to ask several times regarding the included parking as everyone had a different answer and was then still asked to pay on my way out. The hold on my credit card has been take out twice and not yet reversed.

The team at Mercure King George’s Square, Brisbane are amazing. Always greeting me with a good morning or hello. Was even called by name. A special mention to Kirill who was incredibly helpful, assisted me in printing out a document and offered me chocolates. Loved his hospitality.

Staff were very pleasant at all times and helpful. There was no problem providing an extra key when one had been left inside the hotel room. Also I was able to credit one night's accommodation, which had been booked in error, to be taken at another time, this was much appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located to the Brisbane CBD. Room cleaning was very good.

Check in great, fast and efficient. Room large but bathroom not up to standard. Bar area needs to be totally overhauled and improved including the bar staff.

clean tidy rooms, excellent room service and cleaning. If anything - the offering of drinks on the 16 deer roof was a little dear. One champagne choice at $19.00 a glass.
