« Not what I expected for a 5 star hotel »

The view from the harbor may be worth 5 stars but the garden view room is not worth 5 stars nor is the room itself. I have stayed at 3 star hotels that have felt more luxurious. We paid $30 each for breakfast and were not impressed with the food or the service. It took nearly 2 hours for breakfast, lucky we were not in a hurry. For example it took over half an hour to receive a hot chocolate.

Hotel is great, but: 1. Pool closed due to maintenance (very hot day) 2. TV fault had to be fixed by technician (should be checked before room is released for re-occupation) 3. Construction next door very noticeable and annoying (should advise customer, as we would have deferred or changed our booking, as we went there for quiet break)

Satisfactory in terms of why I stayed in that i hardly noticed anything just that I needed a room to stay for the night. The view of the harbour was good though. The suite with it amenities especially the bath was good and room service and reception were good. This is pretty much what my experiences were limited too. Dinner was delicious well prepared. For breakfast ordered eggs Benedict tasted average Was annoyed the pool was out of service. Was looking forward to a swim in the hotel pool at arrival. While this wouldn't have impacted on my decision to stay was disappointed reception staff didn't alert myself at time of booking the hotel pool was out of service.

Everything was wonderful. The only things that I would criticise is the decor and furniture were looking very tired. Some of the furniture had deep scratches and chips on it. I know it is guests who have done this and it is such a shame. I had been planning this holiday for months but had to go through a travel agent since your hotel would not release their prices in time for me to get good air fares. I think this is a tad odd.

The position and facilities of the hotel are amazing. The crockery, cutlery, etc., is all pretty basic and hard to find (and no ironing board). The service by the various staff was first rate but the length of time waiting for a breakfast and coffee, juice, etc., in Q Dining was ridiculously long.

« Outsatnding Location. »

Location and harbor view room excellent as was the included breakfast and wi-fi. Had to miss the included breakfast on last day as we had an early flight and breakfast doesn't start until 7:00am. The suite was spacious, clean, and well maintained and stocked. The lighting in the bathroom was lacking as the light in the ceiling shone straight down so you were in shadows in the mirror. The shower head was awkward, a simple shower fixture would have worked better. The staff was friendly and very helpful, excellent service.

« The icing on the cake for our 50th Wedding Anniversary »

We couldn't have asked for anything better in regards to position on the harbour with stunning Sydney Harbour Bridge views or standard of accommodation - it was just gorgeous and made us feel very, very special. We were particularly impressed by the standard of customer service given to us by a gentleman of Asian heritage. He showed us to our unit and explained how everything worked and where everything was and whenever we saw him on the property he greeted us with a huge smile and welcome. We really appreciated his actions. He is a definite asset to Pullman Grand.

Awesome, although a little noisy from outside on the Sunday night. Room Service menu could be a bit more interesting. Our room was a bit tired, the curtain had a big tear in it and the second bedroom was rather dark and musty smelling. Love the Hacienda lounge and the coffee at breakfast in wonderful.

The location is fantastic, easy to get to and were welcomed on arrival. The room was clean, although the finishes, I believe are in need of refurbishment. The carpet was stretched and uneven. Bed was very comfortable and the room amenities were great. My wife and I celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary and enjoyed a glass of bubbly on the balcony over looking the harbour. This location had been on our wish list for some time and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It was unfortunate that construction work on excavations to an adjoining building site created some noise from jack-hammering during the day and the swimming pool suffered from dust and lack of privacy.

« The room and view was amazing. »

The room and the view was amazing. Check in was a smooth easy process. The person who bought our bags up was extremely nice and helpful and gave us a great explanation of how everything in the room worked. The food in the restaurant in the morning was mediocre. A few times getting orders wrong and on the last morning the food was bland and wasn’t as ordered. One morning though my daughter did not like her meal so they made her something else which was appreciated, even though exactly what we ordered didn’t come out

The staff were very helpful and polite. The location is great and the rooms are spacious however are looking a little tired in the decor. The only thing that was disappointing was that free Wi-Fi was not available. The bar and restaurant are lovely.
