The front desk staff were very helpful and gave enough information for a pleasant stay. We went to Hacienda every day of our visit and always had amazing service. The rooms were pleasant and comfortable with an amazing view. A few little things like holes in the curtains could be fixed to have a more luxurious feel.

The room was good however there was an issue with the spa and the power. The power tripped every time the spa was turned on. Also there was a faulty power plug for one of bedside lights. Generally our stay was most enjoyable.

« Generally good...but »

When I checked out, there was a $1.00 per day charge for breakfast....apparently this was included in my rate, but no one thought to tell me at checkin, so I ate elsewhere (largely due to your very high breakfast pricing!). You really have an obligation to tell your guests that they get breakfast...which I obviously paid for. I travel extensively and can't always remember all details of my reservation. So I ended up spending lots of additional money to pay for breakfast elsewhere that I had already purchased.

We enjoyed the location and the balcony, but the rest was a bit of a let-down Table in the room wobbly to the point of being unsafe Room itself was dated with low uncomfortable bed and not clean enough in places Unidentified unpleasant odour in the room Dining chairs worn to state of being uncomfortable Loose fittings in the room and in the lift Staff not switched on enough to advise that internet access provided was only good in the lobby On the whole, staff did tried to please We usually stay at the Intercontinental when we visit Sydney and tried the Pullman just for a change, but will probably return to the Intercontinental

I have stayed in the hotel before and was disappointed with the lack of care for detail in my room. I actually felt compelled to leave a maintenance list with reception. 9 items requiring attention including mould on the bathroom ceiling, duct tape holding the batteries in the rwmote control which did not work, missing light fittings and difficult door locks.

« This visit was not as good as a visit as a previous visit »

I visited Pullman Grand Quay 10 weeks ago & wrote a glowing review. This time I felt that the front of house was let down by the service staff. Reception was really friendly, helpful and welcoming & showed us to our room. We asked in the booking for the lounge to made into bed. It was not set up when we arrived so I asked for it to be done (2pm). Had to make 2 more phone calls to house keeping, who reluctantly did it at about 7pm - male who did finally come did not seem happy to be there. Also newspaper was not delivered either day, despite it being checked on the paperwork we completed on arrival.
