« Reception still great; restaurant still struggling »

Reception team are always very helpful and friendly. I am very appreciative of the upgrade that I receive each time. Had a couple of maintenance issues (lounge light flickering and shower knob coming off) which were quickly rectified but restaurant still don't have it right (especially Julian). First day breakfast in restaurant was pretty good (they need more staff to keep up though). Second day I called for room service. Response "It will take at least 35mins to organise a staff member to come up there, it would be quicker if you came down" ... I only wanted toast and coffee; I responded with "Well, I'll have to go elsewhere on way to appointment"; restaurant response "Ok". The following night I ordered some ice-cream and hot chocolate for room service from Julian. 30mins later I still didn't have it, so I called. Julian told me it would be "right up". 30mins later still nothing so I called again and got Matt. He said he would find Julian and get it organised, I told him due to the poor service I didn't expect to pay for it, he said he would "sort that". 15mins later it arrived with Julian. He casually said sorry for the delay explained that he forgot about it the first time when he got distracted by other guests, then told me second time he went to the wrong floor but said he would discount the delivery fee for the wait, I told him that I'm not paying at all as I told Matt. He was surprised (and I think he actually wasn't sure if he should leave it or take it back) and his response was "well hopefully I'll get it right next time". The following day I ordered toast and coffee for breakfast again which came quickly but it was only warm bread ... I ate it anyway. I know I've spoken a lot about the 'food' issues, but when I'm doing the hours that I do on the schedule that I have, fast (good) food is really important. I love everything else about the place. Thank you for the invitation to drinks whilst I was there but I had another function to attend and the replies to the sms just bounce.

Loved the facilities, service was great. Getting on the wifi, with fees was annoying as I was there for business and needed the wifi. But the lady at the desk signed me up for membership and waived the fee, but knowing this up front would’ve been nice.

I am very happy to say that I enjoyed every day staying in Sebel Brisbane during my entire stay of 23days. Special thanks to reservation manager ANGIE RAYNER for answering all my queries and making the reservation process very smooth. Smiling receptionist and always willing to help. Fantastic Food and Beverage Manager Jefferson, who took care of our breakfast options. Extremely comfortable room with a high rise view from the balcony. Very nice kitchen with all the required cooking utensils and materials. Thank you for all your help and support to have my stay at Sebel Brisbane as my home for a longer period. Keep it up and wish you all the best.

I stayed with my family and parents in a 2 bedroom, the staff on the check in desk were great, and the staff in the Croft restaurant were outstanding, remembering who we were each day and having orders ready for us from memory.

« Very handy position, clean comfortable »

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Sebel as it is so handy to the Mall and shopping etc. Staff is always friendly and helpful. However, this time [even though we were on the 30th floor] we were given a very small room. Usually we have a room with a sitting room and a balcony? Also my husband and I have both had knee replacements this year and we found getting in and out of the shower bath extremely difficult. Any future stays will have to be in a room with a walk in and walk out shower.

« Convenience but give breakfast buffet a miss! »

The hotel is centrally located in the middle of the city and the rooms are spacious. Extremely comfortable. There was a kitchenette which was convenient. The hotel is not luxurious but sufficient for an overnight stay. No complaints.However, the hotel should NOT offer a breakfast buffet for $29pp when all that is available are a few croissants and fruit and ONE choice from a limited menu. This is not acceptable and definitely not in line with what is expected from a hotel breakfast buffet charging that price. Ok there are space constraints as this hotel restaurant is tiny but don't offer a breakfast buffet if you can't offer the full deal of self serve hot and cold dishes standard in all top hotel breakfast buffets. Be realistic and just offer a la carte breakfast. The expectations will be much lower and there will less disappointment.

Our stay was amazing and your staff they were phenomenal. I was lucky enough to spend the night on Friday as a friend was getting married and we had our makeup, hair and photos in the room. From the moment we checked in till the moment I checked into my own room the service went above and beyond. When we were leaving for the ceremony my husband had forgotten his belt and without hesitation the manager offered his, honestly I have to say we were blown away. There really wasn’t anything negative not one bit, you not only made our stay simply amazing you helped my friend celebrate her wedding day without a hitch. So thank you

This was both a business and family trip (5 nights). As a general rule we love staying at the Sebel, as you'd have seen from our loyalty. This particular time there were a few issues. Generally the room wasn't cleaned to the standard we've become accustomed to. Big stains on the curtains, which could only be seen from the balcony. One of the TV remotes didn't work. Not all the plates and cutlery were in the room. Washing machine door had to be replaced

« Great location with excellent staff. »

Location was terrific being close to Queen St mall and easy access driving into and out of the city. Staff in the hotel were excellent but only average in the Croft cafe. More attention is needed by the cleaning staff because there were some bacon bits from a pizza on the kitchen bench when we first arrived and there was other evidence of a rushed cleaning job throughout the rooms. Balcony windows were also very dirty. But that said, we enjoyed our stay at The Sebel.
