Excellently located hotel with delightful service and staff who go the extra mile. They paid particular attention to making sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. Prepared to assist with my next hotel accomodation which was very useful. Big pay on the back to them all.

« Fantastic stay at The Sebel Brisbane »

Checking into and out of the hotel were really quick, but the most enjoyable part of our stay was the late check-out at 3.30 pm because our plane was leaving late afternoon. The $1 breakfast was really much appreciated. Overall, we are really grateful and if we visit Brisbane in the future, we will come back.

« Mixed feelings of my stay »

The front desk staff were very friendly when checking in. I have stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions which I recall were fine stay (expect for the bath over shower), although this occasion I wasn't overly impressed. When I entered my room, the first thing I noticed was the layer of dust on the two black chairs, the desk, magazines and bedside tables. I had to clean it all with tissues and towels from the bathroom before I could settle in. I went to unpack my clothing and realised I would not have enough coat hangers, so I called housekeeping for an additional 10...no answer and then I called the front desk who indicated she would organise it. The coat hangers never came and it wasn't until I returned from dinner the following evening when I reminded the front desk of my request and received an apology and would arrange for them to be sent up to my room. It took over an hour for the coat hangers to arrive which meant I couldn't have a shower until they arrived as I had no idea when they would arrive or if they would come at all. I am not a big fan of the shower over the bath concept. The food at the restaurant/bar downstairs is very nice and staff very friendly. I loved the complimentary apples offered in the lobby area...a lovely touch for guests. Overall an OK stay.

« Good overall not good with details »

Reception staff were pretty grumpy. Most things seemed a bother. “Would you like me to take your bags up?”-this was asked in check in. You shouldn’t be asking this. You should be just doing this to welcome your customer; especially a loyal one. Your bathroom facilities: towel rail above toilet meant that towels kept falling in the toilet when you take a towel from the rail, your lotion, shampoo and conditioner all look the same!! What’s up with that. So easy to have different colours. Would be good to have a full sized fridge instead of mini fridges: especially in a kitchen unit. The Croft staff need to learn hospitality: those young kids looked like they were just there to earn a wage and nothing else. No high chair, not kids friendly. We got pene pasta one night and enjoyed that. Ordered again and got the pene. Ordered again and got the spaghetti instead-when I called to ask, one of the ‘kids’ in the restaurant said that they have never done pene (o can send photos that you did!) Menu is outdated and living in the 90s...wake up, people are vegan now! Have stayed at many Accor and non-Accor hotels around the world. You guys have a lot of training to do.

« Lovely weekend break in a great location. »

We were very pleased on checking in that not only was our room ready but we had also been upgraded into a 1 bedroom suite. We found the room very comfortable, especially the bed. We liked the CD player in the room & the kitchen with refrigerator was an added bonus for us.

Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and nicely appointed. The hotel has ample facilities and is centrally located, with parking. We were not aware of the additional cost of parking until arrival, however.

What was there not to like about The Sebel in Charlotte St Brisbane.The staff were soft and caring.My room was on the 30th floor with an outstanding view. I live in the rainforest , so water,light and caring for this earth we live in and all the creatures we live with is soo important to me and so it was refreshing to see a major Hotel was on the same page.Thank you. The gentle reminder to consider the environment with light and water. Walking distance to every thing in the CBD. I loved it. I went to the Meeanjin Markets.
