Good location but terrible service. The room was a lot of ants and the toilet broke when I visit, which I have a whole night without toilet. I have to use the reception toilet. Then my cattle in the room was full of ants inside which is not impressive.

It was great, the kitchen, washer/dryer, small gym (perhaps a set of hand weights going up to even just 10kg) and good pool to swim in.

We were given Room 78,beautifull view. Unfortunately there had been a water spill on the carpet sometime before we took the room and it smelt terrible .There was a door to the exhaust fan room and there was a bucket full of towels left behind. We slept with the windows open all night . The next morning we showed the receptionist the photos, and she acknowledge and said that she we would take note of our situation.

Don't normally stay CHL. Didn't make the booking. The parking situation something like 20 spaces for 90 rooms isn't listed on your website

Although our night was satisfactory, we were let down somewhat in that we were unable to check-in to the hotel early after specifically requesting this in January 2018 when we made our booking. We also called in to the hotel when we were in town one day in February 2018 to ensure all was in order. It was our Wedding Anniversary and every year we like to spend a night at a hotel in Cairns to celebrate it. We had also requested parking and that was perfect so I don't want to be too negative. The room was spotlessly cleaned and opened appropriately. I work in a hotel myself on the front desk and we open our rooms for Guests arriving as well so I know what to expect. Next time, if there is a next time, we would ask for a room on a higher floor. Level 2 was okay but a more panoramic view of the ocean would have been nice. Check-in was efficient but not very engaging I must say. When time permits, I think it is nice to be able to chat to Guests about where they are from, etc, when they are at the counter. I know that is not always possible if you are busy but when you are not busy I think Guests like that. Otherwise, our stay was satisfactory but I am not sure if we would book again next year.

Service was very friendly. Room was very clean. Probably needed another floor towel as the floor got extremely wet with the shower door opening outwards. Bathroom was a little bit cramped but clean and tidy.

« Satisfied but only just - given its a modern building in the heart of Cairns, I expected a little more. »

The building is modern and stylish, the location excellent but my room was very basic and small. Clearly designed as an adjoining room, the bathroom was very tight (I kept knocking the water off in the shower just turning round). The desk provide was so small as to not be useable and no fold out luggage rack was provided. I am staying in a self contained room from 3 April - 11 April and hope it is larger and better appointed.

There was no or little hot water to the room during the entire week and the state of the room was questionable, the curtains were ripped and there was no stand for baggage. I reported the issues but no action was either offered or taken by staff in attendance at the front desk.
